More than 670 million cases of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)have been recorded worldwide in the 3 years since the start of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)*** 45%of survivors of COVID-19 develop a syndrome known as long-term COVID,in which symptoms persist even months after the acute *** 76%of patients with long COVID experience neurological ***,patients who have survived COVID-19 have an increased risk of cerebral venous *** case report describes a 41-year-old woman who developed neurological manifestations associated with jugular vein thrombosis 24 h after administration of the Oxford–AstraZeneca(ChAdOx1 nCoV-19)vaccine(AstraZeneca-Serum Institute of India).She had been infected with SARS-CoV-2 three months before *** initially suspected to be a case of vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia(VITT)in view of her recent vaccination,the patient did not have any hallmarks of VITT,such as thrombocytopenia,an increased D-dimer level,or antibodies against platelet ***,the neurological manifestations were associated with a high concentration of inflammatory cytokines,including interleukin(IL)-6,IL-17A,and IL-21,and elevated neutrophil levels in cerebrospinal fluid,suggesting that inflammatory immune components had a role in the development of thrombotic events and pointing to an alternative *** this case,the laboratory results indicated that the neurological manifestations associated with jugular vein thrombosis were not associated with ***,we propose that the thrombosis of the left jugular vein was a sequela of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Death-mediating proteases such as caspases and caspase-3 in particular, have been implicated in neurodegenerative processes, aging and Alzheimer＇s disease. However, emerging evidence suggests that in addition to their classical role in cell death, caspases play a key role in modulating synaptic function. It is remarkable that active caspases-3, which can trigger widespread damage and degeneration, aggregates in structures as delicate as synapses and persists in neurons without causing acute cell death. Here, we evaluate this dichotomy, and discuss the hypothesis that caspase-3 may be a bifurcation point in cellular signaling, able to orient the neuronal response to stress down either pathological/apoptotic pathways or towards physiological cellular remodeling. We propose that temporal, spatial and other regulators of caspase activity are key determinants of the ultimate effect of caspase-3 activation in neurons. This concept has implications for differential roles of caspase-3 activation across the lifespan. Specifically, we propose that limited caspase-3 activation is critical for synaptic function in the healthy adult brain while chronic activation is involved in degenerative processes in the aging brain.

Primary canalicular bile undergoes a process of fluidization and alkalinization along the biliary tract that is influenced by several factors including hormones, innervation/neuropeptides, and biliary constituents. The excretion of bicarbonate at both the canaliculi and the bile ducts is an important contributor to the generation of the so-called bile-salt independent flow. Bicarbonate is secreted from hepatocytes and cholangiocytes through parallel mechanisms which involve chloride efflux through activation of Cl- channels, and further bicarbonate secretion via AE2/SLC4A2-mediated Cl-/HCO3- exchange. glucagon and secretin are two relevant hormones which seem to act very similarly in their target cells （hepatocytes for the former and cholangiocytes for the latter）. These hormones interact with their specific g protein-coupled receptors, causing increases in intracellular levels of cAMP and activation of cAMP-dependent Cl- and HCO3- secretory mechanisms. Both hepatocytes and cholangiocytes appear to have cAMP-responsive intracellular vesicles in which AE2/SLC4A2 colocalizes with cell specific Cl- channels （CFTR in cholangiocytes and not yet determined in hepatocytes） and aquaporins （AQP8 in hepatocytes and AQP1 in cholangiocytes）, cAMP-induced coordinated trafficking of these vesicles to either canalicular or cholangiocyte lumenal membranes and further exocytosis results in increased osmotic forces and passive movement of water with net bicarbonate-rich hydrocholeresis.

The present work describes the development of a computer vision system for the early detection of anthracnose in sugar mango based on Ultraviolet A illumination(UV-A).Anthracnose,a disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum sp,is commonly found in the fruit of sugar mango(Mangifera indica).It manifests as surface defects including black spots and is responsible for reducing the quality of the ***,it decreases its commercial *** more detail,this study poses a system that begins with image acquisition under white and ultraviolet ***,it proposes to analyze the Red,green and Blue color information(R,g,B)of the pixels under two types of illumination,using four different methods:RgB-threshold,RgB-Linear Discriminant Analysis(RgBLDA),UV-LDA,and *** analysis produces an early semantic segmentation of healthy and diseased areas of the mango *** results showed that the combination of the linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and UV-A light(called UV-LDA method)in sugar mango images allows early detection of ***,this method achieves the identification of the disease one day earlier than by an expert with respect to the scale of anthracnose severity implemented in this work.

Arundo donax L.（Arundo D.） Pennisetum purpureum（Elephant g.）,and Panicum virgatum（Switchgrass） are three perennial C4 crops which have been received particular attention during the last years as bioenergy *** experiment located in Uruguay,were established in 2007 to determine biomass production and nutrient balance on these three energy crops.A combination of four treatments of N and P（0 or 100 kg ha-1） were applied *** *** significantly more biomass than Arundo *** Switchgrass in all *** was response to N（100 kg ha-1） in 2009,especially in Elephant g.（＞42% compared to without N）.On the other hand,there was not response to P applications for any C4 crops for any *** of major nutrient flows have shown that the N and P balance were positive with N and P applications;however,the P,N and K balance without N-P applications were *** removal was greater under Elephant g.（-1227 kg ha-1） largely due to greater K concentrations and biomass *** the component of biomass that will be removed and have to be replaced and changes in soil nutrients,should be very important for the long-term success of the bioenergy system.
