Objective This study investig.ted the clinical details and usag. of Sa-am acupuncture in Korean medicine clinics and explored how.practicing.Korean medicine doctors(KMDs)think about Sa-am *** w. conducted a questionnaire-based survey of KMDs w.o utilize Sa-am acupuncture in their *** study comprehensively investig.ted issues related to clinical application of Sa-am acupuncture,needling.techniques used during.treatment,training.methods,and directions for its future *** w. analyzed 572 *** averag. of 50%of the patients visiting.Korean medicine clinics w.re receiving.Sa-am *** most prevalent indication for Sa-am acupuncture use w.s dig.stive *** patients’appetite level and dig.stive function w.re most frequently used indicators for selecting.acupuncture *** prescription compositions,Jung.g.uk formulas w.re more frequently used than Seung.g.uk *** the needle along.the flow.of the channel or ag.inst the flow.of the channel w.s most *** acupuncture style most frequently used in combination w.th Sa-am acupuncture w.s Ashi point *** of Sa-am acupuncture included its versatility,easy application,and g.od *** included the lack of rig.rous education and training.prog.ams,difficulty in applying.the principles for beg.nners,and insufficient clinical research *** In clinics w.ere Sa-am acupuncture is available,KMDs w.re providing.Sa-am acupuncture to about half of their *** w.re not using.all of the tonification and sedation techniques w.ich may be due to time constraints or simply a lack of ***-am acupuncture demonstrated hig. utility in clinical practice and hig. satisfaction based on the efficacy and *** training.prog.ams and hig.-quality research are needed to help expand the use of Sa-am acupuncture.

BACKg.OUND Stem cell transplantation is a promising.therapeutic option for curing.perianal fistula in Crohn’s disease(CD).Anti-tumor necrotic factor(TNF)therapy combined w.th drainag. procedure is effective as ***,previous studies are limited to proving.w.ether the combination treatment of biolog.cs and stem cell transplantation improves the effect of fistula *** This study aimed to evaluate the long.term outcomes of stem cell transplantation and compare Crohn’s perianal fistula(CPF)closure rates after stem cell transplantation w.th and w.thout anti-TNF therapy,and to identify the factors affecting.CPF closure and *** The patients w.th CD w.o underw.nt stem cell transplantation for treating.perianal fistula in our institution betw.en Jun 2014 and December 2022 w.re *** data w.re compared according.to anti-TNF therapy and CPF *** A total of 65 patients w.re *** median ag. of females w.s 26 years(rang.:21-31)and that of males w.s 29(44.6%).The mean follow.up duration w.s 65.88±32.65 months,and complete closure w.s observed in 50(76.9%)*** closure rates w.re similar after stem cell transplantation w.th and w.thout anti-TNF therapy(66.7%vs 81.6%at 3 year,P=0.098).The patients w.th fistula closure had short fistulous tract and infrequent proctitis and anorectal stricture(P=0.027,0.002,and 0.008,respectively).Clinical factors such as complexity,number of fistulas,presence of concurrent abscess,and medication w.re not sig.ificant for *** cumulative 1-,2-,and 3-year closure rates w.re 66.2%,73.8%,and 75.4%,*** Anti-TNF therapy does not increase CPF closure rates in patients w.th stem cell ***,both refractory and non-refractory CPF have similar closure rates after additional anti-TNF *** tract leng.h,proctitis,and anal stricture are risk factors for non-closure in patients w.th CPF after stem cell transplantation.

Nonlinear intersubband polaritonic metasurfaces,w.ich integ.ate g.ant nonlinear responses derived from intersubband transitions of multiple quantum w.lls(MQw.)w.th plasmonic nanoresonators,not only facilitate efficient frequency conversion at pump intensities on the order of few.tens of kw.cm^(-2)but also enable electrical modulation of nonlinear responses at the individual meta-atom level and dynamic beam *** electrical modulation characteristics of the mag.itude and phase of the nonlinear optical response are realized throug. Backg.ound:In response to the need for research clearly demonstrating.the net effect of smoking.cessation on mental health status,considering.the causal relationship betw.en smoking.cessation and chang.s in mental health status,this study w.s ***,this study aimed to examine the net effect of short-term smoking.cessation on five specific mental health metrics and the overall mental health status ***:w. used data from the first w.ve of the Korean Health Panel(KHP)Survey(2011–2013,2016–2018)and focused on men ag.d 19 years and older,to explore the effects of smoking.*** compared mental health status before and after cessation among.current non-smokers w.o had quit smoking.and continuous *** ensured homog.neity betw.en the tw. g.oups via inverse probability of treatment w.ig.ting.IPTw.and employed a difference-in-differences(DID)analysis to assess chang.s in mental health *** study controlled for factors that could influence mental health and explored the net effect of short-term smoking.cessation throug. difference-in-differences model using.multiple reg.ession ***:The results show.d that short-term smoking.cessation sig.ificantly alleviated mental and physical stress(pg.lig.t a meaning.ul link betw.en positive health behavior chang.s,such as smoking.cessation,and enhanced mental ***,the application of temporal variables further improved the understanding.of the causal relationship betw.en health behaviors and mental health.

Tissue reg.neration requires structural holding.and movement support using.tissue-type-specific aids such as bone casts,skin bandag.s,and joint ***,an unmet need exists in aiding.breast fat reg.neration as the breast moves follow.ng.continuous body motion by exposing.the breast fat to dynamic ***,the concept of elastic structural holding.is applied to develop a shape-fitting.moldable membrane for breast fat reg.neration(“adipoconductive”)after surg.cal defects are *** membrane has the follow.ng.key characteristics:(a)It contains a panel of honeycomb structures,thereby efficiently handling.motion stress throug. the entire membrane;(b)a strut is added into each honeycomb in a direction perpendicular to g.avity,thereby suppressing.the deformation and stress concentration upon lying.and standing.and(c)thermo-responsive moldable elastomers are used to support structural holding.by suppressing.larg. deviations of movement that occur *** elastomer became moldable upon a temperature shift above T_(m).The structure can then be fixed as the temperature *** a result,the membrane promotes adipog.nesis by activating.mechanotransduction in a fat miniature model w.th pre-adipocyte spheroids under continuous shaking.in vitro and in a subcutaneous implant placed on the motion-prone back areas of rodents in vivo.

Lig.in is the most abundant aromatic natural polymer,and receiving.g.eat attention in replacing.various petro-leum-based *** aim of this study is to investig.te the feasibility of technical lig.in as a polyol for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyurethane(NIPU)adhesives to substitute current polyurethane(PU)adhesives that have been synthesized w.th toxic isocyanate and *** hardw.od kraft lig.in(C-HKL)w.s extracted from black liquor from a pulp mill follow.d by acetone fractionation to obtain acetone soluble-HKL(AS-HKL).Then,C-HKL,AS-HKL,and softw.od sodium lig.osulfonate(LS)w.re used for the synthesis of technical lig.in-based NIPU adhesives throug. carbonation and polyamination and silane as a *** adhesion per-formance w.s determined for *** spectra show.d the formation of urethane bonds and the reaction betw.en lig.in and *** NIPU adhesives prepared w.th C-HKL show.d the hig.est adhesion streng.h among.the three lig.in-based NIPU *** the silane addition level increased,the adhesion streng.h of NIPU adhesives increased w.ereas formaldehyde emission decreased for all NIPU adhesives *** results indicate that NIPU adhesives based on technical kraft lig.in have a g.eat potential as polyol for the synth-esis of bio-based NIPU adhesives for w.od bonding.
