Contact binaries at various stag.s of evolution unveil various operating.m.chanism. that drive *** report the photom.tric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from.the JCBT 1.3 m.telescope and utilized TESS and Kepler *** photom.tric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a m.ss ratio of q~0.41 and~0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions sug.est that EV Cnc is probably a sem.-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-m.ss ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both system.,the period is increasing.which sug.ests the m.ss transfer is occurring.from.secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on sim.lations by random.y varying.the tim. of m.nim. to fit the LITE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P_(3)=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from.earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm.this *** com.are these two system. with other sim.lar contact binaries to g.t an estim.te of the final config.ration of the respective system..

Nanocom.osite film. consisting.of carboxym.thyl cellulose,polyethylene oxide(Cm./PEO),and anatase titanium.diox-ide(TO)were produced by the use of sol-g.l and solution casting.***2 nanocrystals were effectively incorporated into Cm./PEO polym.rs,as shown by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and attenuated total reflectance fourier transform.infrared(ATR-FTIR)*** roug.ness g.owth is at hig. levels of TO nanocrystals(TO NCs),which m.ans increasing.active sites and defects in Cm./*** differential scanning.calorim.try(DSC)therm.g.am.,the chang. in g.ass transition tem.erature(Tg.val-ues verifies that the polym.r blend interacts with TO *** increm.nt proportions of TO NCs have a notable im.act on the dielectric perform.nces of the nanocom.osites,as *** electrical properties of the Cm./PEO/TO nanocom.osite underg. sig.ificant *** nanocom.osite film. exhibit a red alteration in the absorption edg. as the concentration of TO NCs increases in the polym.r *** decline in the energ. g.p is readily apparent as the weig.t percentag. of TO NCs *** photolum.nescence(PL)em.ssion spectra indicate that the sites of the lum.nescence peak m.xim.m. show slig.t variation;peaks g.t wider,while their intensities decrease dram.tically as the concentration of TO *** nanocom.osite m.terials show potential for m.ltifunctional applications including.optoelectronics,antireflection coating.,pho-tocatalysis,lig.t em.tting.diodes,and solid polym.r electrolytes.

Backg.oundA m.ltitude of m.use m.dels are utilized to em.late and study intestinal inflam.ation. T-cell receptor alpha chain (TCR alpha)-deficient m.ce are used as a m.del of spontaneous colitis that has sim.larities with hum.n ulcerative colitis. However, colitis is trig.ered late in the life of the m.use (ag.: 4-5 m.nths), and inflam.ation does not develop at the sam. tim. in different m.ce. A previously conducted study reported that the adm.nistration of the drug.piroxicam.trig.ered predictable and early colitis in TCR alpha-deficient m.ce at the ag. of 6-8 weeks. However, a detailed characterization of ensuing.inflam.ation was not *** conducted an in-depth exam.nation of piroxicam.trig.ered colitis in TCR alpha-deficient m.ce, with em.hasis on spatial histopatholog.c chang.s and analysis of expression of inflam.atory m.rkers. Furtherm.re, we tested am.lioration of colitis with *** confirm.d that piroxicam.induced a tim.-prescribed colitis and did so in the proxim.l colon as well as the cecum.of TCR alpha-deficient m.ce. Piroxicam.adm.nistration was observed to induce epithelial hyperplasia, g.blet cell loss, and leukocyte infiltration with occasional ulceration. A Swiss roll technique was used to exam.ne the colon and cecum.in its entirety. Im.ortantly, we observed that inflam.ation was m.ltifocal seg.ental, with areas of tissue dam.g. in between healthy tissue. In addition, we observed variability in the severity of inflam.ation am.ng.replicate anim.ls and treatm.nts, and that the adm.nistration of dexam.thasone only partially am.liorated inflam.ation in the proxim.l *** consistently induced m.ltifocal seg.ental colitis in the proxim.l colon and cecum. althoug. the deg.ee of inflam.ation was reduced in the latter. Im.ortantly, spatial variability in inflam.ation in the larg. intestine and the inter-replicate variation in the severity of inflam.ation m.st be taken into consideration when utilizing.this m.

Introduction: Lum.ar disc herniation (LDH) refers to the rupture of the fibrous annulus of the intervertebral discs. Lum.ar curvature m.y lead to the occurrence of lum.ar disc deg.neration. Fear of m.vem.nt m.y worsen their disc herniation and cause further pain and injury. LDH conditions im.act the individuals’ quality of life, to explore the relationship between lum.ar curve, m.scle streng.h, fear of m.vem.nt and functional disability am.ng.patients with LDH. m.thods: An electronic search was conducted on Pubm.d, m.dline, Science Direct, Spring.rlink, g.og.e Scholar and a hand search from.reference lists was reviewed. Publications were included in hum.n studies, patients 25 - 85 years of ag., orig.nal studies and published in Eng.ish lang.ag. journals from.January 2002 to Decem.er 2023. Result: In total, 64 articles were researched throug. the online search eng.nes, and 9 papers were found throug. m.nual searches of reference lists. As a result, a total of 11 articles were included for the purpose of this review. The com.rehensive analysis revealed the presence of eig.t cross-sectional studies, two retrospective studies and one experim.ntal study. A m.nim.m.of 25 participants and a m.xim.m.of 360 participants were included. Ten studies included both g.nders, only one studies included healthy adults and patients with LDH but these studies didn’t m.ntion g.nder. Results showed that the factors influencing.LDH can be categ.rized into non-m.difiable factors, such as g.nder, ag., heig.t or others. m.difiable factors included increased Bm., Dm. sm.king. alcohol, em.loym.nt status, lifestyle and health problem. or psycholog.. Conclusion: Fem.les with g.eater VASC m.y be at risk of LDH. The lum.ar extensor m.scles indicated a localized disc herniation or nerve root patholog. in patients with LDH. The fear of m.vem.nt m.y lead to psycholog.cal consequences and reduce functional disability am.ng.patients with LDH.

Unequal Distribution of Innovation Efforts for Neg.ected Tropical Diseases: The Role of Funding.Evaluation Criteria

Backg.ound: International research and innovation efforts for neg.ected tropical diseases have increased in recent decades due to disparities in overall health research funding.in relation to g.obal burden of disease. However, within the field of neg.ected tropical diseases som. seem.far m.re neg.ected than others. In this research the aim.is to investig.te the distribution of resources and efforts, as well as the m.chanism. that underpin funding.allocation for neg.ected tropical diseases. m.thodolog.: A system.tic literature review was conducted to establish a com.rehensive overview of known indicators for innovation efforts related to a wide rang. of neg.ected tropical diseases. Articles were selected based on a subjective evaluation of their relevance, the presence of orig.nal data, and the breadth of their scope. This was followed by thirteen in-depth open-ended interviews with representatives of private, public and philanthropic funding.org.nizations, concerning.evaluation criteria for funding.research proposals. Results: The finding. reveal a larg. difference in the extent to which the individual diseases are neg.ected with notable differences between absolute and relative efforts. Criteria used in the evaluation of research proposals relate to potential im.act, the probability of success and strateg.c fit. Private org.nizations prioritize strateg.c fit and econom.c im.act;philanthropic org.nizations prioritize short-term.societal im.act;and public g.nerally prioritize the probability of success by accounting.for follow-up funding.and involvem.nt of industry. Funding.decisions of different types of org.nizations are hig.ly interrelated. Conclusions: This study shows that the evaluation of funding.proposals introduces and retains unequal funding.distribution, reinforcing.the relative neg.ect of diseases.
