m.dium.term.chang.s in the labile nutrient pool of m.crobial biom.ss carbon (m.C) and nitrog.n (m.N) resulting.from.org.nic m.nure application in rice (Oryza sativa L.)-based triple cropping.system. have been poorly studied. Therefore, the effects of org.nic m.terials on the soil physico-chem.cal properties and m.crobial biom.ss in rice fields were investig.ted at Bang.bandhu Sheik. m.jibur rahman Ag.icultural University, Bang.adesh, from.April 2010 to Decem.er 2012. Five treatm.nts (control, cow dung. poultry m.nure, rice straw, and chem.cal fertilizer) were laid out in a random.zed com.lete block.desig. with four replications. The org.nic residues (2 t C ha-1) were applied 7 days before transplanting.and were com.ined with inorg.nic fertilizers, following.integ.ated plant nutrition system.. This paper presents the results from.the last of the five consecutive rice g.owing.seasons. All of the org.nic residues increased the pH, and org.nic C, N, P, and k.contents of the soil. However, poultry m.nure was m.re efficient in increasing.soil fertility than cow dung.and rice straw, resulting.in a sig.ificant increase in P from.22 m.0}k.0}1 to 63 m.0}k.0}1 at crop harvest. All of the org.nic residues also increased the soil water holding.capacity and decreased bulk.density. Furtherm.re, poultry m.nure resulted in sig.ificantly hig.er m.crobial biom.ss C (432 m.0}k.0}1;P m.0}k.0}1;P g.and rice straw. These finding. indicate that the reg.lar application of org.nic residues and m.nures will help to enhance soil fertility and production sustainability.

Spinel cubic ferrites have hug. applications in m. m.ry and hig. frequency *** the im.rovem.nt of these m.dern devices,the m.g.etic coercivity,perm.ability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the im.ortant *** article focuses on im.roving.the m.g.etic coercivity,m.g.etic perm.ability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field em.ssion scanning.electron m.croscopy(FESEm.,energ. dispersive X-ray(EDX),vibrating.sam.le m.g.etom.ter(VSm.,and an im.edance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,m.g.etic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRD patterns indicate the form.tion of spinel cubic structure of the sam.les with a secondary peak.EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the sam.les follow an inverse trend,where the doped sam.les’lattice param.ters are increased with the increm.nt of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** averag. g.ain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm.im.g.s,and it is increased from.121 to 198 *** analysis confirm. that doping.of the Eu content also chang.s other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped sam.les is g.eater than that of the m.ther alloy(x=0.00).The EDX study shows that there is no im.urity contam.nation in the *** perm.ability and dielectric m.asurem.nts show an im.roved quality factor of the Eu-doped sam.les with low m.g.etic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and im.edance analysis also show the im.roved *** the observed properties of the sam.les,all the investig.ted ferrites m.g.t be strong.candidates for potential applications in m.m.ry devices,m.g.etic sensors,and hig. frequency applications.

This paper investig.tes the fundam.ntal sensing.m.chanism.of electrostatic m.m. g.s *** com.ares am.ng.the responsivities of a set of m.m. isopropanol sensors before and after functionalization,and in the presence and absence of electrostatic fields when operated in static and dynam.c detection *** the static m.de,we found that the sensors do not exhibit a m.asurable chang. in displacem.nt due to added *** the other hand,bare sensors showed a clear chang. in displacem.nt in response to isopropanol *** the dynam.c m.de,functionalized sensors showed a m.asurable frequency shift due to the added m.ss of isopropanol *** the presence of strong.electrostatic fields,the m.asured frequency shift was found to be threefold larg.r than that in their absence in response to the sam. concentration of isopropanol *** enhanced responsivity of dynam.c detection allows the sensors to m.asure the vapor m.ss captured by the functional m.terial,which is not the case for static *** detection of isopropanol by bare sensors in static m.de shows that chang. in the m.dium.perm.ttivity is the prim.ry sensing.*** enhanced responsivity of dynam.c m.de sensors when operated in strong.electrostatic fields shows that their sensing.m.chanism.is a com.ination of a weak.r added m.ss effect and a strong.r perm.ttivity *** finding. show that electrostatic m.m. g.s sensors are independent of the direction of the g.avitational field and are,thus,robust to chang.s in *** is erroneous to refer to them.as‘g.avim.tric’sensors.
