i.troducti.n: Myelomeni.g.cele i. one of the most complex bi.th defects that cause physi.al di.abi.i.y, wi.h consequent fecal i.conti.ence and therefore di.fi.ulty i. soci.l i.teg.ati.n of these pati.nts. Objecti.e: To i.prove the quali.y of li.e and manometri. values after bi.feedback therapy. Method: Long.tudi.al, prospecti.e, analyti.al and experi.ental study. Pati.nts wi.h myelomeni.g.cele and fecal i.conti.ence who were between 5 to 15 years old and thei. parents were i.cluded i. the study. Chi.d and parent reports of PedsQMtm g.neri. questi.nnai.e were collected after obtai.i.g.i.formed consent and assent. Anorectal manometry and fi.st bi.feedback sessi.ns were held wi.h each chi.d. Followi.g.treatment completi.n, the PedsQMtm was appli.d ag.i.. Results: 17 chi.dren and thei. parents were i.cluded i. the study. All the pati.nts presented fecal i.conti.ence and an i.abi.i.y to voluntari.y evacuate rectal contents. After bi.feedback, the totali.y of pati.nts i.proved thei. fecal i.conti.ence. Ni.e of them stop usi.g.di.per. All reported successful use of the toi.et. Stati.ti.ally si.0}i.i.ant di.ferences were observed when compari.g.the quali.y of li.e of chi.dren and parents at the beg.nni.g.and at the end of treatment. There was an i.provement i. quali.y of li.e after the treatment wi.h bi.feedback for both chi.dren and parents, whi.h was more percei.ed by these. Conclusi.ns: i. i. hi.0}ly si.0}i.i.ant for the i.provement both i. cli.i. and manometri. values. The i.provement i. quali.y of li.e i. more evi.ent i. the parents.
