Effective thermal transport across solid-solid interfaces which is essential in thermal interface materials(TIMs),necessitates both optimal thixotropy and high thermal *** role of filler surface modification,a fundamental aspect of TIM fabrication,in the influence of these properties is not fully *** study employs the use of a silane coupling agent(SCA)to modify alumina,integrating experimental approaches with molecular dynamics simulations,to elucidate the interface effects on thixotropy and thermal conductivity in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-based *** findings reveal that the variations of SCAs modify both interface binding energy and transition layer *** interface binding energy restricts macromolecular segmental relaxation near the interface,hindering desirable thixotropy and bond line *** the contrary,the thickness of the transition layer at the interface positively influences thermal conductivity,facilitating the transport of phonons between the polymer and ***,selecting an optimal SCA allows a balance between traditionally conflicting goals of high thermal conductivity and minimal bond line thickness,achieving an impressively low interface thermal resistance of just 2.45-4.29 K·mm^(2)·W^(-1)at275.8 kPa.

This study endeavors to formulate a comprehensive methodology for establishing a Geological Knowledge Base(GKB) tailored to fracture-cavity reservoir outcrops within the North Tarim Basin. The acquisition of quantitative geological parameters was accomplished through diverse means such as outcrop observations, thin section studies, unmanned aerial vehicle scanning, and high-resolution cameras. Subsequently, a three-dimensional digital outcrop model was generated, and the parameters were standardized. An assessment of traditional geological knowledge was conducted to delineate the knowledge framework, content, and system of the GKB. The basic parameter knowledge was extracted using multiscale fine characterization techniques, including core statistics, field observations, and microscopic thin section analysis. Key mechanism knowledge was identified by integrating trace elements from filling, isotope geochemical tests, and water-rock simulation experiments. Significant representational knowledge was then extracted by employing various methods such as multiple linear regression, neural network technology, and discriminant classification. Subsequently, an analogy study was performed on the karst fracture-cavity system(KFCS) in both outcrop and underground reservoir settings. The results underscored several key findings:(1) Utilization of a diverse range of techniques,including outcrop observations, core statistics, unmanned aerial vehicle scanning, high-resolution cameras, thin section analysis, and electron scanning imaging, enabled the acquisition and standardization of data. This facilitated effective management and integration of geological parameter data from multiple sources and scales.(2) The GKB for fracture-cavity reservoir outcrops, encompassing basic parameter knowledge, key mechanism knowledge, and significant representational knowledge, provides robust data support and systematic geological insights for the intricate and in-depth examination of the genetic

Synthetic vascular grafts suitable for small-diameter arteries(<6 mm) are in great ***,there are still no commercially available small-diameter vascular grafts(SDVGs) in clinical practice due to thrombosis and stenosis after in vivo *** designing SDVGs,many studies emphasized reendothelization but ignored the importance of reconstruction of the smooth muscle layer(SML).To facilitate rapid SML regeneration,a high-resolution 3D printing method was used to create a novel bilayer SDVG with structures and mechanical properties mimicking natural *** by the collagen alignment of SML,the inner layer of the grafts had larger pore sizes and high porosity to accelerate the infiltration of cells and their circumferential alignment,which could facilitate SML reconstruction for compliance restoration and spontaneous *** outer layer was designed to induce fibroblast recruitment by low porosity and minor pore size and provide SDVG with sufficient mechanical *** month after implantation,the arteries regenerated by 3D-printed grafts exhibited better pulsatility than electrospun grafts,with a compliance(8.9%) approaching that of natural arteries(11.36%) and significantly higher than that of electrospun ones(1.9%).The 3D-printed vascular demonstrated a three-layer structure more closely resembling natural arteries while electrospun grafts showed incomplete endothelium and immature *** study shows the importance of SML reconstruction during vascular graft regeneration and provides an effective strategy to reconstruct blood vessels through 3D-printed structures rapidly.

Safe confinement of fission iodine isotopes for long-term radioactive waste disposal remains a formidable challenge,as conventional sorbents provide inherently weak iodine-host *** report here a novel halogen bond(X-bond)directed strategy to sequester volatile iodine in hydrogen-bonded(H-bonded)frameworks with unprecedented ***-assisted Hbonded frameworks bearing open halide sites are developed,showing distinctive iodine encapsulation behaviors without compromising the *** crystallographic evidence indicates the formation of X-bonds,i.e.,I–I···Cl^(−) and I–I···Br^(−),within the confined pore *** polyhalogen anions,i.e.,[I_(2)Cl_(2)]^(2−)and[I_(2)Br_(2)]^(2−),sustained in H-bonded frameworks are identified for the first *** X-bond reinforced host-guest interaction affords robust iodine trapping without leaking out even at elevated temperatures up to 180℃.By integrating the halogen-bond chemistry with H-bonded frameworks,this study offers fresh concepts for developing effective host reservoirs to secure fission iodine isotopes from spent fuel reprocessing off-gases.

Storm surge is often the marine disaster that poses the greatest threat to life and property in coastal *** and timely issuance of storm surge warnings to take appropriate countermeasures is an important means to reduce storm surge-related *** surge numerical models are important for storm surge *** further improve the performance of the storm surge forecast models,we developed a numerical storm surge forecast model based on an unstructured spherical centroidal Voronoi tessellation(SCVT)*** model is based on shallow water equations in vector-invariant form,and is discretized by Arakawa C *** SCVT grid can not only better describe the coastline information but also avoid rigid transitions,and it has a better global consistency by generating high-resolution grids in the key areas through transition *** addition,the simulation speed of the model is accelerated by using the openACC-based GPU acceleration technology to meet the timeliness requirements of operational ensemble *** only takes 37 s to simulate a day in the coastal waters of *** newly developed storm surge model was applied to simulate typhoon-induced storm surges in the coastal waters of *** hindcast experiments on the selected representative typhoon-induced storm surge processes indicate that the model can reasonably simulate the distribution characteristics of storm *** simulated maximum storm surges and their occurrence times are consistent with the observed data at the representative tide gauge stations,and the mean absolute errors are 3.5 cm and 0.6 h respectively,showing high accuracy and application prospects.

One-step harvest of high-purity methane(CH_(4))from ternary propane/ethane/methane(C_(3)H_(8)/C_(2)H_(6)/CH_(4))mixtures remains a desirable yet challenging goal for natural gas ***,adsorbents either suffer from high capacity and selectivity,or are caught in a dilemma of scalable ***,we demonstrate a scalable pillar layered metal-organic framework Ni-MOF for highly efficient one-step CH_(4)***-MOF exhibits high C_(2)H_(6)and C_(3)H_(8)uptakes of 83.3 and 86.1 cm^(3)/g at 298 K and 100 kPa and remarkable C_(2)H_(6)/CH_(4)(50/50,volume ratio,21.5)and C_(3)H_(8)/CH_(4)(50/50,volume ratio,212.0)***,high C_(2)H_(6)(42.2 cm^(3)/g at 10 kPa)and C_(3)H_(8)(64.7 cm^(3)/g at 5 kPa)capacities in the low-pressure region at 298 K were realized on Ni-MOF,suggesting the strong affinities of Ni-MOF towards C_(2)H_(6)and C_(3)H_(8).furthermore,the dynamic breakthrough experiments revealed that purifying CH_(4)from natural gas in one-step can be achieved in Ni-MOF with high-purity(>99.8%)and productivity(346.0 cm^(3)/g).Most significantly,the production of Ni-MOF can be scalably synthesized at room temperature,rendering it promising potential for industrial *** combined advantages of exceptional separation performance,scalability,and cycle stability of Ni-MOF pave the way for one-step CH_(4)purification from natural gas.

Impact of Local Climate Zones on the Urban Heat and Dry Islands in Beijing:Spatial Heterogeneity and Relative Contributions

Based on the building height and density data on a 100-m resolution,hourly 2-m temperature and humidity data at83 automatic weather stations,and gridded local climate zone(LCZ)data on a 120-m resolution in urban Beijing in2020,this study first employs the semivariogram combined with building parameters to calculate spatial correlations and has identified an LCZ grid resolution of 500 m suitable for best usage of the available observation ***,how the spatially heterogeneous LCZs affect and contribute to the canopy urban heat island intensity(UHII)and urban dry island intensity(UDII)are quantitatively *** is found that UHII is high in winter and low in summer with a unimodal diurnal variation while UDI is low in winter but high in summer with a bimodal diurnal *** LCZ with compact mid-rise(open high-rise)buildings exhibits the highest UHII(UDII),followed by the compact high-rise(compact low-rise),while the LCZ of scattered trees presents both the lowest UHII and the lowest *** most significant difference in the UHII(UDII)among the nine LCZ types in the urban area of Beijing is2.62℃(1.1 g kg^(-1)).Area-weighted averaging analysis reveals that the open mid-rise LCZ is the most significant contributor to the UHII(UDII),immediately followed by compact mid-rise(open low-rise),with the least contribution from bare rock or paved(scattered trees).The results also indicate that beyond the intrinsic physical properties of the LCZs of a city,their area proportions cannot be overlooked in evaluating their impact on the UHI and *** quantitatively findings could help urban planners to create a livable urban climate and environment by adjusting the relevant land use.

In the process of extracting ion-absorbed rare earth ore(IREO),the production of radioactive waste is a major environmental *** address this issue,MoS_(2) was used to modify ion-absorbed rare earth tailings(RET) to synthesize a novel MoS_(2)@RET composite material for the effective handling of radioactive waste generated in IREO separation *** composite material was thoroughly characterized using various analytical techniques,including X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),thermogravimetry(TG),Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Brunaue r-Emmett-Teller(BET) and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).By optimizing the operating parameters,the optimal experimental conditions were determined to be pH=3,contact time=60 min,liquid-solid ratio=6 g/L,and initial concentration=150 mg/*** adsorption data fitted well with the pseudo second-order rate *** thermodynamic parameters concerning the adsorption of Th(Ⅳ) were analyzed and *** isotherm model is a more fitting choice for the adsorption process compared to the Freundlich isotherm ***_(2)@RET was used in the acid leachate of IREO waste residue,achieving the separation of Th and rare earth *** mechanism of Th(Ⅳ) adsorption by MoS_(2)@RET was investigated,revealing that the adsorption process involves electrostatic interactions,chemical bonding,and redox *** above research results indicate that MoS_(2)@RET composite materials have application potential in the sustainable treatment of IREO radioactive waste.

Background： Lateral compartmental osteoarthritis （LCOA）, a major complication after medial mobile-bearing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty （UKA）, is highly associated with the increased stress of the lateral compartment. This study aimed to analyze the effects on the stress and load distribution of the lateral compartment induced by lower limb alignment and coronal inclination of the tibial component in UKA through a finite element analysis. Methods： Eight three-dimensional models were constructed based on a validated model for analyzing the biomechanical effects of implantation parameters on the lateral compartment after medial Oxford UKA： postoperative lower limb alignment of 3° valgus, neutral and 3° varus, and the inclination of tibial components placed in 4°, 2° valgus, square, and 2° and 4° varus. The contact stress of femoral and tibial cartilage and load distribution were calculated for all models. Results： In the 3° valgus lower limb alignment model, the contact stress of femoral （3.38 MPa） and tibial （3.50 MPa） cartilage as well as load percentage （45.78%） was highest compared to any other model, and was increased by 36.75%, 47.70%, and 27.63%, respectively when compared to 3° varus. In the condition of a neutral position, the outcome was comparable for the different tibial tray inclination models. The inclination did not greatly affect the lateral compartmental stress and load distribution. Conclusions： This study suggested that slightly varus （undercorrection） lower limb alignment might be a way to prevent LCOAin medial mobile-bearing UKA. However, the inclination （4° varus to 4° valgus） of the tibial component in the coronal plane would not be a risk factor for LCOA in neutral position.
