An Al-Cu-Mg-Zr alloy,which obtained different homogenization cooling rates by changing the heattreated sample size,was compressed to various strains at the deformation temperature of 300℃ and strain rate of 0.01 s^(-1).The results showed that the homogenization cooling rate had strong effects on the hot deformation behavior of the *** flow stress and relative dynamic softening rate of the alloy were significantly higher under a high cooling rate(HCR) than those under a low cooling rate(LCR).furthermore,based on X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and thermodynamic equilibrium phase calculation,the substructure evolution in the grain interior,morphology,and spatial distribution of the precipitates were studied to determine the differences in the flow softening *** main softening mechanism could be summarized as dynamic recovery and precipitation coarsening for the LCR alloy and dynamic precipitation for the HCR alloy.

Maximizing the development of renewable energy plays a critical role in mitigating the climate *** land provides space for the development of biomass energy;however,it remains unclear how the amount and spatial distribution of marginal land that is suitable for energy crop development will change in the ***,we project energy marginal land changes in China following the shared socioeconomic pathway(SSP)and/or repre-sentative concentration path(RCP).We provide datasets of mar-ginal land,agriculturally suitable land,and potentially suitable for energy crops under historical scenarios and six future scenarios(***1-1.9,SSP1-2.6,SSP4-3.4,SSP2-4.5,SSP4-6.0,and SSP3-7.0)for the period 2020-2100,with a spatial resolution of 5 *** the six scenarios,from 2020-2100,the area of suitable marginal land ranged from 1.90-16.28(Jatropha curcas L.)to 37.37-73.97(Panicum virgatum L.)(×10^(4)km^(2)),depending on the choice of energy crops and climate *** on the growing suitability of eight important bioenergy crops-Ricinus communis L.,Saccharum officinarum L.,Pistacia chinensis Bunge,Panicum virga-tum L.,Jatropha curcas L.,Miscanthus giganteus J.,Manihot esculenta Crantz,and Sorghum bicolor Moench-our dataset can be used to identify suitable locations for specific energy *** new syn-thetic dataset could support the development of multiscenariobased solutions related to carbon neutrality,ecosystem services,and energy transition.

The scaling relation of central massive black holes(M_(BH)s)and their host galaxies is well-studied for supermassive BHs(SM_(BH)s,M_(BH)≥10^(6)M_(⊙)).However,this relation has large uncertainties in the mass range of the intermediate-mass BHs(IM_(BH)s,M_(BH)~10^(3)-10^(6)M_(⊙)).Since Green pea(GP)galaxies are luminous compact dwarf galaxies,which may be likely to host less massive SM_(BH)s or even IM_(BH)s,we systematically search for M_(BH)s in a large sample of 2190 GP galaxies at zline width,BPT diagram,mid-infrared color,X-ray luminosity,and radio *** studies show that it is very promising to find IM_(BH)s in GP galaxies,and the BH sample so obtained enables us to probe the connection between the M_(BH)s and compact dwarf galaxies in the low-redshift Universe.

Variations in plant traits are indicative of plant adaptations to forest environments,and studying their relationships with tree growth provides valuable insights into forest *** spatial arrangement of plant seeds within the forest litter or soil critically infuences the variations of root-leaf traits,thereby affecting the adaptive strategies of emerging ***,our current understanding of the impacts of individual root-leaf traits on seedling growth in different relative position,and whether these traits together affect growth,remains *** study focuses on the dominant tree species,Castanopsis kawakamii,within the Sanming *** Nature Reserve of *** present experiment aimed to examine the variations in root-leaf traits of seedling,focus on the relative positions of seeds within different layers:beneath or above the litter layer,or within the bare soil layer(without litter).Our fndings provided evidence supporting a coordinated relationship between root and leaf traits,wherein leaf traits varied in conjunction with root traits in the relative positions of ***,we observed that seedlings exhibited higher values for specifc leaf area and average root diameter,while displaying lower root tissue *** mixed model explained 86.1%of the variation in root-leaf traits,surpassing the variation explained by the relative ***,soil nitrogen acted as a mediator,regulating the relationship between seedling growth and root-leaf traits,specifcally leaf dry matter content and root tissue ***,future studies should consider artifcially manipulating tree species diversity based on root-leaf traits characteristics to promote forest recovery.

Bubbly oil lubrication is a type of lubrication ***,the lubrication model of the bubbly oil has not been thoroughly *** paper aims to investigate the modelling for bubbly oil lubrication considering the interfacial effect and thermal effect,and a theoretical model is established based on the theory of multiphase *** interfacial and thermal effects on the static characteristics of a thrust bearing are analyzed.A test rig for the thrust bearing is developed to measure the static characteristics of the bearing under bubbly oil *** results show that the bearing static characteristics,*** temperature rise,film thickness,friction torque,and volume flow,increase with consideration of three interfacial effects;the bearing temperature rise increases but the film thickness,friction torque,and volume flow rate decrease with consideration of the three thermal effects;the thermal effect on the bearing static characteristics is greater than the interfacial effect.

The AlSi20/8009 aluminum alloy was heated to high temperatures near the melting point and cooled to investigate the effect of external Si addition on the phase evolution of Al12(Fe,V)3 Si dispersion. Differential scanning calorimeter, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer and X-ray diffractometer were *** results showed that Al12(Fe,V)3 Si and Si phases evolved into a needle-like Al4.5 Fe Si phase and a nano-sized V-rich phase during holding the alloy at 580-600℃. With increasing holding temperature to 620-640℃, Al4.5 Fe Si and nano-sized V-rich phases evolved reversibly into Al12(Fe,V)3 Si and Si phases, of which Al12(Fe,V)3 Si occupied a coarse and hexagonal morphology. During the alloy(after holding at 640 ℃) furnace cooling to 570 ℃ or lower, Si and Al12(Fe,V)3 Si phases evolved into strip-like Al4.5 Fe Si and the V-rich phases, which is a novel formation route for Al4.5 Fe Si phase different from Al-Fe-Si ternary system.

Artificial CO_(2)removal from the atmosphere(also referred to as negative CO_(2)emissions)has been proposed as a potential means to counteract anthropogenic climate *** we use an Earth system model to examine the response of ocean acidification to idealized atmospheric CO_(2)removal *** our simulations,atmospheric CO_(2)is assumed to increase at a rate of 1%per year to four times its pre-industrial value and then decreases to the pre-industrial level at a rate of 0.5%,1%,2%per year,*** results show that the annual mean state of surface ocean carbonate chemistry fields including hydrogen ion concentration([H^(+)]),pH and aragonite saturation state respond quickly to removal of atmospheric CO_(2).However,the change of seasonal cycle in carbonate chemistry lags behind the decline in atmospheric CO_(2).When CO_(2)returns to the pre-industrial level,over some parts of the ocean,relative to the pre-industrial state,the seasonal amplitude of carbonate chemistry fields is substantially *** results also show that changes in deep ocean carbonate chemistry substantially lag behind atmospheric CO_(2)*** CO_(2)returns to its pre-industrial value,the whole-ocean acidity measured by[H^(+)]is 15%-18%larger than the pre-industrial level,depending on the rate of CO_(2)*** study demonstrates that even if atmospheric CO_(2)can be lowered in the future as a result of net negative CO_(2)emissions,the recovery of some aspects of ocean acidification would take decades to centuries,which would have important implications for the resilience of marine ecosystems.
