The explosive growth of social media means portrait editing and retouching are in high *** portraits are commonly captured and stored as raster images,editing raster images is non-trivial and requires the user to be highly *** at developing intuitive and easy-to-use portrait editing tools,we propose a novel vectorization method that can automatically convert raster images into a 3-tier hierarchical *** base layer consists of a set of sparse diffusion curves(DCs)which characterize salient geometric features and low-frequency colors,providing a means for semantic color transfer and facial expression *** middle level encodes specular highlights and shadows as large,editable Poisson regions(PRs)and allows the user to directly adjust illumination by tuning the strength and changing the shapes of *** top level contains two types of pixel-sized PRs for high-frequency residuals and fine details such as pimples and *** train a deep generative model that can produce high-frequency residuals *** to the inherent meaning in vector primitives,editing portraits becomes easy and *** particular,our method supports color transfer,facial expression editing,highlight and shadow editing,and automatic *** quantitatively evaluate the results,we extend the commonly used FlIP metric(which measures color and feature differences between two images)to consider *** new metric,illumination-sensitive FlIP,can effectively capture salient changes in color transfer results,and is more consistent with human perception than FlIP and other quality measures for portrait *** evaluate our method on the FFHQR dataset and show it to be effective for common portrait editing tasks,such as retouching,light editing,color transfer,and expression editing.

To reduce switch numbers and voltage stress in semiconductor devices,this paper proposes a novel single-phase converter combined Active Power Factor Correction(APFC)with switched-capacitor *** addition,dynamic voltage regulation and voltage gain are improved by integrating the boost converter and switching capacitor *** interstage bulk capacitor is no longer *** average current control with redistribution of voltage in cells is proposed to obtain voltage lift ability of the switching capacitor cells and maintain a high-power *** study and verify the proposed converter preliminarily,theoretical analysis and simulation are presented in the ***,a 50o W prototype with two different configurations is built for experimental *** proposed converter can reach 95.62%of maximum efficiency,0.99 of power factor,and 3.55%of THD with 600 V output voltage,simultaneously.

Currently,the machine learning(Ml)-based scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)analysis is limited in the simulative stage,its application in experimental STEM is needed but ***,we built up a universal model to analyze the vacancy defects and single atoms accurately and rapidly in experimental STEM images using a full convolution *** our model,the unavoidable interference factors of noise,aberration,and carbon contamination were fully considered during the training,which were difficult to be considered in the *** toward the simultaneous identification of various vacancy types and low-contrast single atoms in the low-quality STEM images,our model showed rapid process speed(45 images per second)and high accuracy(>95%).This work represents an improvement in experimental STEM image analysis by Ml.

Relativistic isobar^(96)_(44)Ru+^(96)_(44)Ru and^(96)_(40)Zr+^(96)_(40)Zrcollisions have revealed intricate differences in their nuclear size and shape,inspiring unconventional studies of nuclear structure using relativistic heavy ion *** this study,we investigate the relative differences in the mean multiplicityR_()and the secondR_(ε2)and third-order eccentricityR_(ε3)between isobar collisions using initial state Glauber *** is found that initial fluctuations and nuclear deformations have negligible effects on R_()in most central collisions,while both are important for the R_(ε2)and R_(ε3),the degree of which is sensitive to the underlying nucleonic or sub-nucleonic degree of *** features,compared to real data,may probe the particle production mechanism and the physics underlying nuclear structure.

Herein we proposed a data-driven high-throughput principle to screen high-performance single-atom materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and hydrogen sensing by combing the theoretical computations and a topology-based multi-scale convolution kernel machine learning *** the rational training by 25 groups of data and prediction of all 168 groups of single-atom materials for HER and sensing,respectively,a high prediction accuracy(>0.931 R^(2) score)was achieved by our *** show that the promising HER catalysts include Pt atoms in C_(4) and Sc atoms in C_(1)N_(3) coordination ***,Y atoms in C_(4) coordination environment and Cd atoms in C_(2)N_(2)-ortho coordination environment were predicted with great potential as hydrogen sensing *** method provides a way to accelerate the discovery of innovative materials by avoiding the time-consuming empirical principles in experiments.

In this research,a method employing micro-extrusion was designed to produce the micro-scaled barrel-shaped parts with complex geometrical features to study the feasibility of the proposed microforming method and its grain size effect on the formability of the complicated internal features in terms of deformation behavior,material evolution,accuracy of dimensions and final components *** results reveal that the deformation behavior is highly affected by grain size and becomes unpredictable with increased grain *** addition,assembly parameters including feature dimension,tolerance and coaxiality also vary with grain size,and the variation of grain size needs to be accommodated by different assembly types,viz.,clearance fit or transition *** the microstructural evolution aspect,it was identified there were two dead zones and four shear bands,and the formation of these deformation zones was barely affected by the variation in grain *** bulges,cracks,and fracture induced voids were observed on the surface of the final components,tailoring the microstructure of the working material with finer grains could significantly avoid these *** study advances the understanding of forming microparts by extrusion processes and provides guidance for microforming of similar microparts.

Herein, a nickel-catalyzed arylcyanation of unactivated alkenes via cyano group translocation with aryl boronic acids has been developed. These transformations provided a robust approach to constructing structurally diverse 1,n-dinitriles or 4-amino nitriles from easily prepared and commercially available starting materials. The cyano group translocation was achieved,involving the addition into the intramolecular C–N triple bond followed by the retro-Thorpe reaction. Mechanistic studies revealed that high temperature and CsHCO3as the base were crucial for the cyano group translocation.
