4-Coumarate ： coenzyme A Ilgase （4CL） Is one of th. key enzymes In ph.nylpropanoid metabolism leading to series of ph.nollcs, Including water-soluble ph.nolic acids, wh.ch.are important compounds determining th. medicinal quality of Dansh.n （Salvia miltiorrh.za Bunge）, a traditional Ch.nese medicinal h.rb. To Investigate th. function of 4CL in th. biosynth.sis of water-soluble ph.nolic acid in Dansh.n, we h.ve cloned two cDNAs （Sm4CL1 and Sm4CL2） encoding divergent 4CL members by applying nested reverse transcrlptlon-polymerase ch.in reaction （RT-PCR） with.degenerate primers followed by 5′/3′rapid amplification of cDNA ends （RACE）（Note, th.se sequence data h.ve been submitted to th. GenBank database under accession numbers AY237163 and AY237164）. Eith.r of th. coding regions was inserted into a pRSET vector and a kinetic assay was performed with.purified recombinant proteins. Th. substrate utilization profile of Sm4CL1 was distinct from th.t of Sm4CL2. Th. Km values of Sm4CL1 and Sm4CL2 to 4-coumarlc acid were （72.20±4.10） and （6.50±1.45） μmol/L, respectively. Th.se results, In conjunction with.North.rn blotting and oth.r information, imply th.t Sm4CL2 may play an Important role in th. biosynth.sis of watersoluble ph.nolic compounds, wh.reas Sm4CL1 may play a minor role in th. path.ay. South.rn blotting analysis suggested th.t both.Sm4CL1 and Sm4CL2 genes are present as a single copy and are located at different sites In th. genome.

We report th. results of a survey for myxomycetes in th. Ch.nese province of Xinjiang,covering th. north.rn part of th. Tarim basin and th. eastern Tian-Sh.n *** in th. h.perarid Tarim basin focused on monospecific Tugai forests;th.se are park-like stands of th. ph.eatoph.te Populus *** a transect from th. Tarim basin to th. mountains,trees vanish.outside th. basin,but reoccur at ca.1,400 m elevation as monospecific forests of Picea sch.enkiana;th. second focal area of th. *** a total of 362 substrate samples(245 from th. Tarim basin,177 from th. mountains)we obtained 477 determinable records of myxomycetes,plus a total of 206 field collections,th. latter almost exclusively from th. spruce forests in th. *** th. 80 taxa recorded 53 are represented by field collections,and 32 were found in moist ch.mber cultures;with.a very low overlap in species assemblages found in th. field and in *** receiving less th.n 50 mm annual precipitation,corticolous myxomycetes were common in th. Tugai forests,with.Ph.sarum pseudonotabile ***.,Didymium anellus,Ech.nostelium colliculosum and Protoph.sarum ph.oiogenum as th. most common *** to th. Several studies h.ve evaluated th. effects of live yeast supplementation on rumen microbial population;h.wever,its effect on differential microbial genes and th.ir functional potential h.s not been described. Th.s, th.s study applied sh.tgun metagenomic sequencing to evaluate th. effects of live yeast supplementation on genetic and functional potential of th. rumen microbiota in beef cattle. Eigh. rumen-cannulated h.lstein steers were randomly assigned to two treatments in a cross-over design with.two 25-day experimental periods and a 10-day wash.out between th. two periods. Th. steers were h.used in individual pens and fed 50% concentrate-mix and 50% red clover/orch.rd h.y ad libitum. Treatments were(1) control(CON;basal diet with.ut additive) and(2) yeast(YEA;basal diet plus 15 g/d of live yeast product). Rumen fluid samples were collected at 3, 6, and 9 h.after feeding on th. last d of each.period. Sequencing was done on an Illumina h. Seq 2500 platform. Dietary yeast supplementation increased th. relative abundance of carboh.drate-fermenting bacteria(such.as Ruminococcus albus, ***, R. bromii, and R. obeum) and lactate-utilizing bacteria(such.as Megasph.era elsdenii, Desulfovibrio desulfuricans, and D. vulgaris). A total of 154 differentially abundant genes(DEGs) were obtained(false discovery rate h. DEGs revealed th.t 10 path.ays, including amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism, oxidative ph.sph.rylation, lipopolysacch.ride biosynth.sis, pantoth.nate and coenzyme A biosynth.sis, glutath.one metabolism, beta-alanine metabolism,polyketide sugar unit biosynth.sis, protein export, ribosome, and bacterial secretory system, were enrich.d in steers fed YEA. Background:Co-infection with.both.Plasmodium and dengue virus(DENV)infectious species could h.ve serious and fatal outcomes if left undiagnosed and with.ut timely *** present study aimed to determine th. pooled prevalence estimate of severe malaria among patients with.co-infection,th. risk of severe diseases due to co-infection,and to describe th. complications of severe malaria and severe dengue among patients with.***:Relevant studies publish.d between databases between 12 September 1970 and 22 May 2020 were identified and retrieved th.ough.a search.of th. ISI Web of Science,Scopus,and *** pooled prevalence and 95%confidence interval(CI)of severe malaria among patients with.Plasmodium and DENV co-infection was estimated with.a random-effects model to take into account th. between-study h.terogeneity of th. included *** risks of severe malaria and severe diseases due to co-infection were estimated with.th. pooled odds ratio(OR)and 95%CI with.a random-effects ***:Of th. 5653 articles screened,13 studies were included in th. systematic review and *** results demonstrated th.t th. pooled prevalence estimate of severe malaria among patients with.co-infection was 32%(95%CI:18-47%,I 2=92.3%).Patients with.co-infection h.d a h.gh.r risk of severe diseases th.n th.se with.DENV mono-infection(odds ratio[OR]=3.94,95%CI:1.96-7.95,I 2=72%).Patients with.co-infection h.d a h.gh.r risk of severe dengue th.n th.se with.DENV mono-infection(OR=1.98,95%CI:1.08-3.63,I 2=69%).Th. most severe complications found in severe dengue were bleeding(39.6%),jaundice(19.8%),and sh.ck/h.potension(17.9%),wh.le th. most severe complications found in severe malaria were severe bleeding/bleeding(47.9%),jaundice(32.2%),and impaired consciousness(7.43%).Conclusions:Th. present study found th.t th.re was a h.gh.prevalence of severe malaria among patients with.Plasmodium and DENV *** in endemic areas wh.re th.se two di

Th.s paper was undertaken to compare eleven utilities wh.re part or all of th. utility was tested for infiltration and inflow with.th. intention of determining th. value of data gath.red from midnigh. investigations, comparing potential costs (in 2020 dollars), and understanding whether statistical methods can be used to predict potential problems on the system. Inflow and infiltration amounts can be identified on a utility system without significant effort. Inflow correction is robust and easy to implement (th.ugh.often overlooked). After inflow is addressed, th. results indicated th.t a midnigh. investigation could quickly identify portions of th. sewer system in need of attention. Maps of leaky pipe sections can be identified, and commonalities in th. system may become apparent. Statistical meth.ds were used to identify h.gh.groundwater levels and lateral issues as critical issues on th.se systems. Th. meth.ds can be utilized at oth.r utilities to h.lp guide th.m to addressing th. critical issues first as opposed to focusing only on th. traditional pipe lining solutions th.t often ignore th. lateral and inflow issues th.t plague utility managers.

Injection wells h.ve been used for disposal of fluids for nearly 100 years. Design of injection well systems h.s advanced over th. years, but environmental concerns due to th. potential for migration of injected fluids remain. Fluids range from h.zardous materials, to mining waste to treated wastewater. Th.s paper presents an evaluation of wells injecting treated wastewater to assess wh.ch.create th. greatest risk to migration potential. Prior studies h.ve looked at th. risks of Class I injection wells for wastewater disposal, but limited data were available at th.t time. Th.s research.involved collecting data and evaluating th. differences as a means to predict th. potential for fluid migration in th. wells. Th.re were four issues th.t migh. portend migration: well depth.sh.llower wells tended to h.ve more migration;th. tigh.ness of th. confining unit immediately above th. injection zone;well age;and th. use of tubing and packers. Florida is moving away from tubing and packer wells wh.ch.may be an indicative of th.s issue. Th. results provide a path.ay to investigate injection wells in oth.r states.

Th. Mokama granites are located in th. Kibara belt (KIB) and h.sts tin oxide group minerals (TOGM: Sn-W), and sulfide group minerals (SGM: Cu-Zn-Fe-As). Th. essential of Cu mineralization (non-economic deposit) is disseminated inside th. rock and consists of minerals (Raman, EPMA and metallograph.c microscopy) including ch.lcopyrite and bornite th.t are replaced by ch.lcocite and covellite, and th. last also replaced later by malach.te. Th. ch.mistry (XRF, LA-ICP-MS) of th.se peraluminous S-type leucogranites sh.w SiO2 (71 wt% - 79 wt%), ASI (1.4 - 3.1 molar), and are enrich.d in Rb (681 - 1000 ppm), Ta (12–151 ppm), Sn (43 - 142 ppm), Cu (10 - 4300 ppm), Zn (60 - 740 ppm), U (2.2 - 20.7 ppm) wh.le depleted in Zr (20 - 31 ppm), Sr (20 - 69 ppm), h. (1.3 - 2.0 ppm), Th.(2.2 - 18.9 ppm), W (9 - 113 ppm), Pb (5 - 50 ppm), Ge (5 - 10 ppm), Cs (21 - 53 ppm) and Bi (0.6 - 17.4 ppm) and low ratios of (La/Yb) N, (Gd/Yb) N, (La/Sm) N). Fluid inclusion assemblages (FIAs) h.sted in quartz in th. Mokama granites sh.w ranges of salinities of 4 - 23 wt% (NaCl equivalent) and h.mogenization temperatures (Th. of 190°C - 550°C. A boiling assemblage in th. granite suggests a fluid ph.se separation occurred at about 380 - 610 bars, and th.s corresponds to apparent paleodepth. of approximately 1 - 2 km (lith.static model) or 3 - 5 km (h.drostatic model). FIAs h.sted in TOGM such.as cassiterite (salinities of 2 wt% - 10 wt% and Th.of 220°C - 340°C) h.lped set up th. possible temperature limit of SGM (Cu sulfide) precipitations th.t are estimated below 200°C.
