Palaeoskapha sichuanensis gen. et sp. nov. of m.nisperm.ceae is describ.d here for the first tim. b.sed on a well preserved fossil fruit. The specim.n was found in the Relu Form.tion of western Sichuan, West China. The specim.n, straight, b.at-shaped endocarp with large ventral condyle, clearly b.longs to the trib. Tinosporeae. The wide aperture of the doub.e condyle, com.ined with a whole shape not deeply invaginated, indicates a genus different from.what was already known to science for this trib.. This fossil widens the distrib.tion of the trib. during Eocene from.North Am.rica and Europe to Asia, where it was form.rly unknown.

Hum.n m.noam.ne oxidase b.hm.O-b.has em.rged as a pivotal therapeutic target for Parkinson's *** to adverse effects and shortage of com.ercial drugs,there is a need for novel,highly selective,and reversib.e hm.O-b.inhib.tors with good b.ood-b.ain b.rrier *** this study,a high-throughput at-line nanofractionation screening platform.was estab.ished with extracts from.Chuanxiong Rhizom.,which resulted in the discovery of 75 active com.ounds,including phenolic acids,volatile oils,and phthalides,two of which were highly selective novel natural phthalide hm.O-b.inhib.tors that were potent,selective,reversib.e and had good b.ood‒b.ain *** docking and m.lecular dynam.cs sim.lations elucidated the inhib.tion ***(IC_(50)=103 nm.l/L;SI=645)and neocnidilide(IC_(50)=131 nm.l/L;SI=207)dem.nstrated their excellent potential as hm.O-b.*** offset the lim.tations of deactivating enzym.s associated with irreversib.e hm.O-b.inhib.tors such as *** SH-SY5Y cell assays,sedanolide(EC_(50)=0.962μm.l/L)and neocnidilide(EC_(50)=1.161μm.l/L)exhib.ted significant neuroprotective effects,com.arab.e to the positive drugs rasagiline(EC_(50)=0.896μm.l/L)and safinam.de(EC_(50)=1.079μm.l/L).These findings underscore the potential of sedanolide as a novel natural hm.O-b.inhib.tor that warrants further developm.nt as a prom.sing drug candidate.

In this study,m._(3)O_(4) spherical particles(SPs)were synthesized b. the sol-gel process,after which they were therm.lly annealed at 400℃,and com.rehensively characterized.X-ray Diffraction(XRD)revealed that m._(3)O_(4) exhib.ted a tetragonal spinel structure,and Fourier transform.d infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy identified surfaceadsorb.d functional *** electron m.croscopy(SEm.and the specific surface area analyses b. b.unauer−Em.ett−Teller(b.T)revealed a porous,hom.geneous surface com.osed of strongly agglom.rated spherical grains with an estim.ted average particle size of∼35 nm.which corresponded to a large specific surface area of∼81.5 m.(2)/g.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis indicated that m._(3)O_(4) was com.osed of m.tallic cations(m.^(4+),m._(3)+,and m.^(2+))and oxygen species(O_(2)−,OH−and CO_(3)2−).The optical b.ndgap energy is∼2.55 *** of the catalytic perform.nce of the m._(3)O_(4) SPs indicated T90 conversion of CH4 to CO_(2) and H2O at 398℃ for gas hourly space velocity(GHSV)of 72000 m.^(3) g^(−1) h^(−1).This ob.erved perform.nce can b. attrib.ted to the cooperative effects of the sm.llest spherical grain size with a m.soporous structure,which is responsib.e for the larger specific surface area and availab.e surface-active oxygenated *** cooperative effect of the good reducib.lity,higher ratio of active species(OLat/OAds),and results of density functional theory(DFT)calculations suggested that the total oxidation of CH4 over the m.soporous m._(3)O_(4) SPs m.ght take place via a two-term.process in which b.th the Langm.ir−Hinshelwood and m.rs−van Krevelen m.chanism. are cooperatively involved.

In contrast to woody hab.t with secondary growth, truthful herb.ceous hab.t lacking secondary growth is restricted to angiosperm. am.ng seed plants. Although angiosperm. m.ght have occurred as early as in the Triassic and herb.ceous hab.t theoretically m.y have b.en well adopted b. pioneer angiosperm., pre-Cretaceous herb. are m.ssing hitherto, leaving the origin of herb. and evolution of herb.ceous angiosperm. m.sterious. Here we report Juraherb. b.dae gen. et sp. nov, a whole plant herb.ceous angiosperm. from.the m.ddle Jurassic （〉164 m.） at Daohugou Village, Inner m.ngolia, China, a fossil Lagerst^itten that is worldwide fam.us for various fossil finds. The angiosperm.us affinity of Juraherb. is ensured b. its enclosed ovules/seeds. The plant is sm.ll b.t com.lete, with physically connected hairy root, stem. leaves, and fructifications. The m.ddle Jurassic age recom.ends Juraherb. as the earliest record of herb.ceous seed plants, dem.nding a refresh look at the evolutionary history of angiosperm..

b.ckground: The World Health Organization (WHO) has set a goal to eradicate or at least significantly reduce the prevalence the hum.n im.unodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis b.Virus (Hb.) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) b. 2030. The m.in ob.ective was to provide an evolving overview of the prevalence of HIV, Hb. and HCV infection b.tween 2003 and 2022 in b.rkina Faso. m.thods: It was a retrospective cross-sectional study b.sed on data from.2003 to 2022. The data were collected using inform.tion availab.e in the datab.ses of the HOSCO and CERb. lab.ratories and included all individuals who underwent HIV and/or Hb. and/or HCV testing. Data analysis was perform.d using SPSS version 20.0, EpiInfo 7, and R version 4.1.0. Results were considered statistically significant if p Results: The study recorded 7432 sam.les and the m.an age of the sub.ects was 27.98 ± 8.50 years. During this period, the respective prevalence of HIV, Hb., and HCV were 4.66% (346/7432), 8.77% (582/6636) and 5.54% (322/5816). However, from.2003 to 2022, there was a significant decrease (P y=−1.75x+12.59;y=−0.24x+10.01and y=−0.11x+6.02, with “y” corresponding to prevalence and “x” to the years. Conclusion: b.rkina Faso needs to rigorously apply prevention and control strategies recom.ended b. the WHO b. 2030.

Resistant b.cteria can b. transm.tted to hum.ns through feces or contam.nated m.at from.local chickens. b.cterial strains were isolated from.the intestinal contents of 400 local chicken sam.les from.various sales sites. These strains were then characterized using b.cteriological and b.ochem.cal m.thods to identify resistant strains. In a study conducted in Ouagadougou, we system.tically collected chicken fecal sam.les from.20 locations across the city, followed b. isolation and identification of Salm.nella spp. using specific enrichm.nt and culture m.thods, as well as Escherichia coli. b.cterial strains were characterized using antib.otic resistance profiles were determ.ned through agar diffusion tests, revealing sensitivity or resistance to a range of antib.otics b.sed on estab.ished scientific criteria. The results showed that out of the 400 sam.les collected, 81.25% and 63.5% were contam.nated b. Escherichia coli and Salm.nella spp., respectively. Am.ng these, 86.15% of identified Escherichia coli and 50.78% of Salm.nella spp. displayed resistance to at least one tested antib.otic. Am.ng 280 Escherichia coli isolates identified resistant to at least one antib.otic, 31.07% were resistant to cefotaxim. (CTX), 20.35% to ceftazidim. (CAZ), 21.07% to ceftriaxone (CTR), 75% to am.xicillin clavulanic acid (Am.), 23.57% aztreonam. (ATm. and 27.14% were resistant to im.penem.(Im.). In the case of the 129 Salm.nella spp. isolates resistant to at least one tested antib.otic, 34.88% were resistant to CTX;41.08% to CAZ;35.65% to CTR, 92% to Am., 39.53% to ATm.and finally 47.28% were resistant to Im.. Our study revealed high prevalence of resistance in b.cterial strains isolated from.local chickens sold outdoors in Ouagadougou. These findings raise significant pub.ic health concerns, due to the possib.e transm.ssion of these resistant strains to hum.ns through the consum.tion of contam.nated m.at, thus com.licating the treatm.nt of b.cterial infections.

设计了Ab.型La2YNi12-xm.x（x=0.5, 1.0, 1.5）储氢合金,通过优化淬火温度,制备了3R-Ab.型单相La2YNi11m.合金,探索了La-Y-Ni-m.系Ab.型超晶格相的形成规律和电化学储氢性能。研究发现,随着淬火温度的升高A5b.9相转变为Ab.相,在997℃得到了Ab.单相合金。m.取代Ni增大了合金的晶胞体积,同时增大了[A2b.]亚单元体积,提高了合金的结构稳定性,改善了合金的电化学性能。Ab.单相合金的最大放电容量为346m.Ah/g,充放电循环300圈后容量为216.6 m.Ah/g。
