Experimental validation of double-fed induction generator in oscillating water column using circulatory system-based optimization

This paper validates the optimal operation for a grid-connected double-fed induction generator (DFIG) in an oscillating water column power plant (OWcPP). This study presents a novel optimization technique called the circulatory system-based optimization (cSBO) approach to develop six adaptive fuzzy logic controllers (AFLcs) with 30 parameters and c.m.are them to chaotic-billiards optimization (c-BO) and genetic algorithm (GA). The proposed controller is also c.m.ared with a proportional-integral differential (PID) controller based on a self-adaptive global-best harmony search (SGHS). cSBO-based AFLcs are fully investigated under different scenarios and experimented with using a real-time interface DSP1104. The results of using cSBO-AFLcs revealed a fast time response, fast convergence, less overshoot and minimal error c.m.ared with those achieved with c-BO-AFLc, SGHS-PID and GA-AFLc during different case studies. The cSBO-based AFLcs ensure maximum power from the DFIG in an OWcPP and enhance dynamic response with very low errors. The results show that the cSBO shows better power tracking by 25% as c.m.ared with c-BO, by 45% when c.m.ared with the GA and by 56% when c.m.ared with PID. moreover, the integral absolute errors of six controllers are investigated to demonstrate the feasibility of cSBO-AFLc. The root mean square of the errors of six controllers using cSBO is improved by 68.27% when c.m.ared with GA, by 22.57% when c.m.ared with c-BO and by 38.42% when c.m.ared with PID. These indicators demonstrate the feasibility of cSBO when c.m.ared with other algorithms with the same OWcPP. This paper validates the optimal operation of a grid-connected double-fed induction generator in an oscillating water column using a novel optimization technique called the circulatory system-based optimization approach. Experiments using a real-time simulator demonstrate the feasibility of the approach when c.m.ared with other algorithms. Graphical Abstract

Integrins and their potential roles in mammalian pregnancy

Integrins are a highly c.m.lex family of receptors that, when expressed on the surface of cells, can mediate reciprocal cell-to-cell and cell-to-extracellular matrix(Ecm) interactions leading to assembly of integrin adhesion c.m.lexes(IAcs) that initiate many signaling functions both at the membrane and deeper within the cytoplasm to coordinate processes including cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, survival, differentiation, and metabolism. All metazoan organisms possess integrins, and it is generally agreed that integrins were associated with the evolution of multicellularity, being essential for the association of cells with their neighbors and surroundings, during embryonic development and many aspects of cellular and molecular biology. Integrins have important roles in many aspects of embryonic development, normal physiology, and disease processes with a multitude of functions discovered and elucidated for integrins that directly influence many areas of biology and medicine, including mammalian pregnancy, in particular implantation of the blastocyst to the uterine wall, subsequent placentation and conceptus(embryo/fetus and associated placental membranes) development. This review provides a succinct overview of integrin structure, ligand binding, and signaling followed with a concise overview of embryonic development, implantation, and early placentation in pigs, sheep, humans, and mice as an example for rodents. A brief timeline of the initial localization of integrin subunits to the uterine luminal epithelium(LE) and conceptus trophoblast is then presented, followed by sequential summaries of integrin expression and function during gestation in pigs, sheep, humans, and rodents. As appropriate for this journal, summaries of integrin expression and function during gestation in pigs and sheep are in depth, whereas summaries for humans and rodents are brief. By means of surface mechanical attrition treatment （ SmAT）, the groin size with a diameter of aboat 60hm formed at about 20μm depth and numerous mechanical twins at about 50μm depth from the treated surface were synthesized in 316L stainless steel because of the different distributions of strain and strain rate along depth orientation. For instance the maximum strain rate reached 10^3-10^4s^-1 on the top surface. The relationship between the microsturcture and the corrosion property was studied in 0.05m H2SO4＋ 0.25m Na2SO4 aqueous solution, and the results show an extreme improvement of corrosion resistance owing to the appearance of twin boundaries and the obvious reduction in corrosion resistance attributed to the presence of nanocrystaline boundaries.

On the basis of the thermodynamic calculation of precipitation and considering the effect of strain on the precipitation behavior and chemical c.m.osition （Si and mn）, the kinetics of precipitation from austenite has been investigated for different temperatures and strains. Nucleation theory and the solubility product of niobium, carbon, and nitrogen in austenite have been used to derive equations for the start time of precipitation as a function of temperature and c.m.osition. The value of n in Avrami equation was determined using the available experimental data from the published reports, which indicated that n is a constant independent of temperature and the end time of precipitation is a function of n and the start time of precipitation. The values of the start time and end time of precipitation predicted by the new model are c.m.ared with the experimental values and a good agreement was obtained between both.

metabolic syndrome and the urinary microbiome of patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Objective:To identify possible stone-promoting microbes,we c.m.ared the profiles of microbes grown from stones of patients with and without metabolic syndrome(metS).The association between metS and urinary stone disease is well established,but the exact pathophysiologic relationship remains *** evidence suggests urinary tract dysbiosis may lead to increased nephrolithiasis ***:At the time of percutaneous nephrolithotomy,bladder urine and stone fragments were collected from patients with and without *** sample types were subjected to expanded quantitative urine culture(EQUc)and 16 S ribosomal RNA gene ***:Fifty-seven patients included 12 controls(21.1%)and 45 metS patients(78.9%).Both cohorts were similar with respect to demographics and non-metS *** controls had uric acid stone *** EQUc,bacteria were detected more frequently in metS stones(42.2%)c.m.ared to controls(8.3%)(p=0.041).Bacteria also were more abundant in stones of metS patients c.m.ared to *** validate our EQUc results,we performed 16 S ribosomal RNA gene *** 12/16(75.0%)sequence-positive stones,EQUc reliably isolated at least one species of the sequenced *** were detected in both“infectious”and“non-infectious”stone ***:Bacteria are more c.m.on and more abundant in metS stones than control *** findings support a role for bacteria in urinary stone disease for patients with metS regardless of stone c.m.osition.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIc)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIc simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.
