For an open set V C Cn, denote by mα （V） the family of α-analytic functions that obey a boundary maximum modulus principle. We prove that, on a bounded ＂harmonically fat＂ domain Ω C Cn, a function f ∈m a（Ω／f-1（0）） automatically sat- isfies f ∈m a（Ω）, if it is Caj-1smooth in the z/variable, α ∈ Zn＋ up to the boundary. For a submanifold U C Cn, denote by ma（U）, the set of functions locally approximable by α-analytic functions where each approximating member and its reciprocal （off the singularities） obey the boundary maximum modulus principle. We prove, that for a C3-smooth hypersurface, Ω, a member of ma （Ω）, cannot have constant modulus near a point where the Levi form has a positive eigenvalue, unless it is there the trace of a polyanalytic function of a simple form. The result can be partially generalized to C4-smooth submanifolds of higher codimension, at least near points with a Levi cone condition.

Background:Examination anxiety is a concern for educational policymakers because of the impact it can have on the overall outcome of the performance of the candidates who partake in such ***:The aim of this study is to determine the examination anxiety level of students of Nursing and midwifery College,Agogo,and Presbyterian University College and to evaluate the factors affecting *** and methods:A total of 160 undergraduate nursing students comprising 80 degree and 80 diploma students were conveniently sampled for the *** study was conducted in September 2019 using a descriptive cross-sectional *** Westside Test Anxiety Scale was used to measure examination anxiety among the participants.A researcher-designed questionnaire in which participants responded to a three-point Likert scale was used to assess factors influencing examination ***:The findings of the study showed that test anxiety was higher among the diploma candidates(m=3.60)than the degree candidates(m=2.95)and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.024).Demographic characteristics such as age(P=0.009),sex(P=0.003),study hours per day(P=0.001)were found to be significantly associated with test *** factors found to influence examination anxiety among students were volume of materials to study(P=0.044),level of preparation(P=0.005)perceived difficulty of the questions(P=0.033)and myth about examinations(P=0.000).The perceived importance of the examination(P=0.057)and schedule of the exams(P=0.68)did not influence examination ***:Candidates for the licensure examination organized by the Nursing and midwifery Council of Ghana should be assessed for test anxiety and offered the necessary psychological support where necessary.

A 3-dimensional finite element model was built to determine the effect of inclination angle of a corro sion defect on local mechano-electrochemical(m-E)effect in a simulated soil *** of the high effect of the defect inclination angle on the m-E effect,when the inclination angle is 0°(i.e.,the primary axis of the defect parallel to the longitudinal direction of the pipe),the greate st stress concentration level at the defect can be observed,which is associated with the lowest corrosion potential,the greatest anodic current density and the most serious accelerated localized *** the inclination angle is 90°,the stress concentration level reduces and the corrosion potential becomes less negative,accompanying with the decreased anodic/cathodic current ***,when the ratio(r_(ca))of the primary axial length of the defect to its secondary axial length is 1,the defect inclination does not affect the stress and the electrochemical corrosion rate at the *** the increase of r_(ca),the effect of the defect inclination angle is more apparent.

Endoscopic papillectomy: Data of a prospective observational study

AIm:To investigate the clinical value of endoscopic papillectomy indicated by feasibility and safety of the procedure in various diseases of the papilla in a representative number of patients in a setting of daily clinical and endoscopic practice and care by means of a systematic prospective observational study. mETHODS:Through a defined time period, all consecutive patients with tumor-like lesions of the papilla, who were considered for papillectomy, were enrolled in this systematic bicenter prospective observational study, and subdivided into 4 groups according to endoscopic and endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) findings as well as histopathological diagnosis:adenoma; carcinoma/ neuroendocrine tumor (NET)/lymphoma; papilla into which catheter can not be introduced; adenomyomatosis, respectively. Treatment results and outcome were characterized by R0 resection, complication, recurrence rates and tumor-free ***:Over a 7-year period, 58 patients underwent endoscopic papillectomy. main symptoms prompting to diagnostic measures were unclear abdominal pain in 50% and cholestasis with and without pain in 44%. Overall, 54/58 patients [inclusion rate, 93.1%; sex ratio, males/females = 25/29 (1:1.16); mean age, 65 (range, 22-88) years] were enrolled in the study. Prior to papillectomy, EUS was performed in 79.6% (n = 43/54). Group 1 (adenoma, n = 24/54; 44.4%):91.6% (n = 22/24) with R0 resection; tumor-free survival after a mean of 18.5 mo, 86.4% (n = 19/22); recurrence, 13.6% (n = 3/22); minor complications, 12.5% (n = 3/24). Group 2 (carcinoma/NET/lymphoma, n = 18/54; 33.3%):75.0% (n = 10/18) with R0 resection; tumor-free survival after a mean of 18.5 (range, 1-84) mo, 88.9% (n = 8/9); recurrence, 11.1% (n = 1/9). Group 3 (adenomyomatosis, n = 4/54; 7.4%). Group 4 (primarily no introducible catheter into the papilla, n = 8; 14.8%). Diagnostic accuracy of tests for Helicobacter pylori in an Alaska Native population

AIm： TO evaluate the accuracy of two non-invasive tests in a population of Alaska Native persons. High rates of Helicobacter pylori （H. pylon] infection, H. pyIori treatment failure, and gastric cancer in this population necessitate documentation of infection status at multiple time points over a patient＇s *** test, 13C urea breath test （UBT）, and immunoglobulin G antibodies to H. pylori in serum. The performances of 13C-UBT and antibody test were compared to a gold standard defined by a positive H. pylori test by culture or, in case of a negative culture result, by positive histology and a positive rapid urease test.RESULTS： The sensitivity and specificity of the 13C- UBT were 93% and 88%, respectively, relative to the gold standard. The antibody test had an equivalent sensitivity of 93% with a reduced specificity of 68%. The false positive results for the antibody test were associated with previous treatment for an H. pylorlinfection [relative risk （RR） = 2.8]. High levels of antibodies to H. py/or/were associated with chronic gastritis and male gender, while high scores in the 13C-UBT test were associated with older age and with theH. pylori bacteria load on histological examination （RR = 4.4）. CONCLUSION： The 13C-UBT outperformed the antibody test for H. pylori and could be used when a noninvasive test is clinically necessary to document treatment outcome or when monitoring for reinfection.
