Textures, trace element compositions, and sulfur isotopes of pyrite from the Honghai volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit:Implications for ore genesis and mineral exploration

In this paper, we present textures, trace element compositions, and sulfur isotope data for pyrite from the Honghai volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit to place new constraints on the source and evolution of the ore-forming fluids and provide insights into the ore genesis with implications for future exploration. The Honghai deposit consists of upper lenticular ores comprising massive sulfides that are underlain by stockwork and disseminated sulfides. The textural and isotopic characteristics of the synsedimentary framboidal pyrite(Syn-Py) indicate its formation by biogenetic processes. Coarse-grained pyrite generations(M-Py1, M-Py2, and M-Py3) from the massive sulfides have high Au, Ag, Cu, Zn, Pb, Sb, and Tl concentrations and low Co, Se, Te, ti, and Sn concentrations, indicating that they precipitated from metal-rich, low-to intermediate-temperature,oxidizing fluids. The high Te, ti, and Sn concentrations and high Co/Ni ratios in the massive pyrite(M-Py4) associated with magnetite in the massive sulfide lenses, as well as the high ti, V, Cr, and Ni concentrations and low Al, Mn, and Zn concentrations in the magnetite, suggest that the coexisting M-Py4 and magnetite precipitated under oxidizing and hightemperature(300℃ to 500℃) conditions. In contrast, pyrite grains from the underlying stockwork and veins(V-Py1, V-Py2, and V-Py3) are characterized by low Au, Ag, Cu, Zn, Pb, Sb, and Tl concentrations coupled with high Co, Se, Te, and ti concentrations and high Co/Ni ratios, which are interpreted in terms of reducing and high-temperature ore-forming fluids. The large variations in δ^(34)S values from-6.4‰ to +29.9‰ suggest that the ore-forming fluids were derived from magmatic source that were significantly modified by seawater. Radiogenic isotopic dating and Lu–Hf isotopic composition using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS)of the Wude basalt in Yunnan province from the Emeishan large igneous province(ELIP)yielded timing of formation and post-eruption tectonothermal *** lithogeochemistry and elements mapping of basaltic rocks were further reevaluated to provide insights into crustal contamination and formation of the ELIP.A zircon U–Pb age of 251.3±2.0 Ma of the Wude basalt recorded the youngest volcanic eruption event and was consistent with the age span of 251-263 Ma for the emplacement of the *** zircons hadε_(Hf)(t)values ranging from7.3 to+2.2,identical to those of magmatic zircons from the intrusive rocks of the ELIP,suggesting that crust-mantle interaction occurred during magmatic emplacement,or crust-mantle mixing existed in the deep source region prior to deep *** apatite U–Pb age at 53.6±3.4 Ma recorded an early Eocene magmatic superimposition of a regional tectonothermal event,corresponding to the Indian–Eurasian plate *** Nb,Ta,ti and P anomalies of the Emeishan basalt may reflect crustal *** uneven Nb/La and Th/Ta values distribution throughout the ELIP supported a mantle plume model ***,the ELIP was formed as a result of a mantle plume which was later superimposed by a regional tectonothermal event attributed to the Indian–Eurasian plate collision during early Eocene.

根据组成大火成岩省的岩浆类型不同,大火成岩省可以分为两类,一是以基性火成岩为主的镁铁质大火成岩省(MLIPs),二是以酸性火成岩为主的长英质大火成岩省(SLIPs)。它们都是由于在异常高的地幔热流参与下导致地幔或地壳大规模熔融形成的。大火成岩省独特的巨量岩浆活动是引起多层次物质和能量交换的重要场所。成矿物质的聚集导致成矿作用和矿床的形成是必然的,因此大火成岩省本身就是一个大成矿系统。在这个成矿系统中,由于物源、成分、温度、压力、流体和氧逸度等条件的差异性,形成不同种类的矿化和矿床,并构成一定的成矿系列。镁铁质大火成岩省中形成的矿床类型有岩浆硫化物型Cr-Cu-Ni-PGE矿床和ti-Fe氧化物型V-ti-Fe矿床,热液型的Cu-Pb-Zn-Au-Ag矿床,以及远程低温热液矿床等。长英质大火成岩省形成的矿床类型为岩浆和交代型、热液型Cu-Pb-Zn-Au-Ag,W-Sn,U-Th-REE矿床,以及Sb-As矿床等。加强对大火成岩省及其成矿机理的研究,有望形成新的成矿理论和加速超大型矿床的发现。

文章对红海火山成因块状硫化物矿床中黄铁矿的结构、微量元素和硫同位素进行研究,以期限定成矿流体的来源和演化,并对矿床成因和勘查提供新的思路.红海矿床具有上部块状矿体和下部(网)脉状矿体的空间结构特征.研究结果表明,上部草莓状黄铁矿(Syn-Py)的结构和同位素特征指示其形成于生物同沉积成因过程.上部块状矿石不同层位的黄铁矿(M-Py1、M-Py2、M-Py3)具有较高的Au、Ag、Cu、Zn、Pb、Sb、Tl含量和较低的Co、Se、Te、ti、Sn含量,表明其形成于富金属的中高温(200~400℃)氧化性流体环境.块状矿体下层黄铁矿(M-Py4)具有高的Te、ti、Sn含量和高的Co/Ni值,与之共生的磁铁矿具有高的ti、V、Cr、Ni含量和低的Al、Mn、Zn含量,表明二者形成于高温(300~500℃)氧化条件.而下部(网)脉状矿石中的黄铁矿(V-Py1、V-Py2、V-Py3)以低Au、Ag、Cu、Zn、Pb、Sb、Tl含量和高Co、Se、Te、ti含量以及高Co/Ni值为特征,指示其形成于中高温环境.硫同位素组成特征(δ^(34)S=-6.4‰~+29.9‰)表明成矿流体来自深部岩浆源并受海水影响显著.浸染状矿化中的黄铁矿(D-Py)在结构、微量元素和同位素组成特征上具有“过渡”的特征,其核部继承块状矿化特征,而边部继承(网)脉状矿化特征.红海矿床不同深度就位矿体中黄铁矿微量元素及比值(如Co、Te、ti、Se、As、Au、Pb、Sb、Tl、Ag、Cu、Zn和Co/Ni、Co/Sb、Se/As)在空间上有规律的变化特征,可以作为寻找块状工业矿体的指示标识.此外,尽管上部块状矿体和下部(网)脉状矿体中黄铁矿δ^(34)S值无明显差异,但其δ^(34)S峰值亦可作为寻找块状矿体的重要标识.

Chemical Quality Indexes of Mullet (<i>Mugil platanus</i>) Stored on Ice

The present study was conducted aiming at establishing chemical quality parameters to assess ice stored mullet (0℃ ± 1℃) through the evaluation of nucleotide (adenosine monophosphate [AMP], inosine [HxR] and hypoxanthine [Hx]) degradation, biogenic amine (histamine [HI], putrescine [PU], cadaverine [CA] and tyramine [ti]) quantification and mesophilic and psychrotrophic bacteria count monitoring. The microbial load of 7 log CFU·g–1 established as maximum acceptable limit was attained after the 20th day of ice storage. IMP concentration declined during the storage period to levels below the detection limit. HxR content increased only up to time T3 and then declined. Hx level increased during all the storage period. CA and HI content increase was not observed, on the other hand, PU and ti contents significantly increased (p time T5. We concluded that IMP and Hx concentrations can be adequate parameters to assess mullet quality under the study conditions. HxR proved to be adequate to evaluate the freshness of mullet in the first days of storage while the amines, PU and ti, can be used to assess loss of quality. Mullet obtained in conditions similar to those of the present study and maintained at 0℃ ± 1℃ can be consumed up to the 20th storage day.
