G protein-coupled receptor 37 (GPR37), also known as parkin associated endothelin-like (Pael) receptor, is an orphan G protein- coupled receptor, which suffers a defective parking ubiquitination in autosomal recessive Parkinson’s disease promoting its endoplasmic reticulum aggregation and stress, neurotoxicity and neuronal death (Takahashi and Imai, 2003). Interestingly, we have demonstrated previously that GPR37 heteromerizes with adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR) in the striatum (Morato et al., 2017;Sokolina et al., 2017).

This paper describes one approach to the design of reinforced concrete (RC) bridge piers, using a three-hybrid multi- objective simulated annealing (SA) algorithm with a neighborhood move based on the mutation operator from the genetic algorithms (GAs), namely MOSAMO1, MOSAMO2 and MOSAMO3. The procedure is applied to three objective functions: the economic cost, the reinforcing steel congestion and the embedded CO 2 emissions. Additional results for a random walk and a descent local search multi-objective algorithm are presented. The evaluation of solutions follows the Spanish Code for structural concrete. The methodology was applied to a typical bridge pier of 23.97 m in height. This example involved 110 design variables. Results indicate that algorithm MOSAMO2 outperforms other algorithms regarding the definition of Pareto fronts. further, the proposed procedure will help structural engineers to enhance their bridge pier designs.

This research aimed to analyze the possibility to estimate and automatically map large areas of soybean cultivation through the use of MODIS(Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer)*** major techniques were used:GEOgraphic-Object-Based Image Analysis(GEOBIA)and Data Mining(DM).In order to obtain the images,the segmentation algorithm implemented by Definiens Developer was used.A decision tree(DT)was created from a training set previously ***-series of images from the MODIS sensor aboard the Terra satellite were acquired in order to represent the wide variation of the vegetation pattern along the soybean crop *** time-series data were used only for the CEI ***,to compare the results obtained from GEOBIA,the slicing technique was used at the CEI *** the training,the DT was applied to the vegetation indices generating the thematic map of the spatial distribution of *** accordance with the error matrix and kappa parameter analysis,tests for statistical significance were *** indicate that the classification achieved by Kappa coefficients is *** short,the obtained results proved that combining vegetation indices and time-series data using GEOBIA return promising results for mapping soybean plantation on a regional scale.

The aims of this study were:i)to compare no-till areas in two municipalities located in different regions of Brazil,along with the influence on CO_(2)flux and GPP,and ii)to verify the difference between environmental factors followed by the trends of these variables regarding future scenarios(ARIMA time-series model number).The study was carried out in two areas with different latitudes in the municipalities of Sinop-MT and Passo fundo-RS,both in Brazil.A time series of 19 years was performed with data acquired by remote sensing from the following satellites:i)Landsat-8(OLI and TIRS),and ii)TERRA/AQUA(MODIS).The results propound that the spectro-temporal variables are directly influenced by soil management and agricultural practices over the observation time,with a satisfactory correlation in future predictions of the variables for the next ten years,in which presented that the variation of GPP and albedo values for the two study sites would gradually increase until 2028 and the temperature remained constant between the range of its seasonality,and CO_(2)flux tends to decrease in its seasonality,indicating a higher CO_(2) absorption.

An influence game is a simple game represented over an influence graph(i.e.,a labeled,weighted graph)on which the influence spread phenomenon is *** games allow applying different properties and parameters coming from cooperative game theory to the contexts of social network analysis,decision-systems,voting systems,and collective *** exact calculation of several of these properties and parameters is computationally hard,even for a small number of *** examples of these parameters are the length and the width of a *** length of a game is the size of its smaller winning coalition,while the width of a game is the size of its larger losing *** parameters are relevant to know the levels of difficulty in reaching agreements in collective decision-making *** the above,new bio-inspired metaheuristic algorithms have recently been developed to solve the NP-hard influence maximization problem in an efficient and approximate way,being able to find small winning coalitions that maximize the influence spread within an influence *** this article,we apply some variations of this solution to find extreme winning and losing coalitions,and thus efficient approximate solutions for the length and the width of influence *** a case study,we consider two real social networks,one formed by the 58 members of the European Union Council under nice voting rules,and the other formed by the 705 members of the European Parliament,connected by political *** are promising and show that it is feasible to generate approximate solutions for the length and width parameters of influence games,in reduced solving time.

This paper seeks to determine how the overlap of several infrared beams affects the tracked position of the user, depending on the angle of incidence of light, distance to the target, distance between sensors, and the number of capture devices used. We also try to show that under ideal conditions using several Kinect sensors increases the precision of the data collected. The results obtained can be used in the design of telerehabilitation environments in which several RGB-D cameras are needed to improve precision or increase the tracking range. A numerical analysis of the results is included and comparisons are made with the results of other studies. finally, we describe a system that implements intelligent methods for the rehabilitation of patients based on the results of the tests carried out.

Elbows in pneumatic conveying systems are normally prone to the erosive effects of conveyed *** are a number of solutions available to reduce such damage.A widely used geometric alternative for replacing the 90°elbow and reducing erosive wear is the plugged *** option,although less commonly used,is the vortex-chamber *** both cases,the effective reduction in erosion brought about is unclear,as it strongly depends on the operating *** present study assesses relative erosion among the plugged tee,vortex-chamber elbow,and standard elbow for a dilute gas-solid multiphase flow.A numerical model is employed to predict the penetration ratio and validated using experimental data for the plugged *** are run for the standard and vortex-chamber elbows and plugged tee under the same conditions to compare the mechanics involved and the relative erosion *** analysis uses variables relating to particle-wall interactions(impact angle,impact velocity,impact frequency)to illustrate the nature of the erosive process in each pipe *** general,the geometric configurations of both the plugged tee and vortex-chamber elbow promote changes in particle dynamics that reduce the rate of *** the basis of the relative erosion of the standard elbow,the plugged tee proves to be an interesting option in cases of a low mass loading,while the vortex-chamber elbow demonstrates its erosion reduction potential for higher mass loading ***,the advantages and disadvantages of each fitting are highlighted.

Clinical laboratory tests are basic elements that support healthcare tasks such as disease detection, diagnosis and monitoring of response to treatments. Current laboratory information systems focus on the patient database, tests and results, with multiple modules available, connecting with the various analytical systems or work areas. However laboratory information systems functioned as “islands of information”, because their design was fundamentally inward-looking and disconnected from other healthcare computer applications. Actually, the Electronic Health Register (EHR) is considered by clinicians as a tool with great potential healthcare benefits. The EHR, in the sense of a unique and complete record of a patient’s healthcare and state of health, regardless of the healthcare level used, is a real attempt to eliminate these “islands of information” and need modules to act as “bridges” with the laboratory information systems. This type of module, which in generic terms may be referred to as a laboratory test request module, has become an essential feature of the EHR. These modules need to use a laboratory coding system as a common language for exchanging information, ensuring that tests and results are unequivocally identified. The development of the laboratory test request module requires the commitment of professionals and political authorities, being necessary time for their design and an adequate pilot phase. The laboratory professionals have to assume a leadership role in the whole process of design, development and implementation of these modules, integrating in the equipment of information technologies of healthcare providers. In our manuscript we review the elements that may prove electronic systems for requesting clinical laboratory test into digital clinical records and the key elements to move from theory to practice.

COVID-19 and Indirect Liver Injury:A Narrative Synthesis of the Evidence

The liver is frequently affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)*** most common manifestations are mildly elevated alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase,with a prevalence of 16-53%among *** with severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)seem to have higher rates of acute liver dysfunction,and the presence of abnormal liver tests at admission signifies a higher risk of severe disease during *** with chronic liver diseases also have a higher risk of severe disease and mortality(mainly seen in patients with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease).Several pathways of damage have been proposed in the liver involvement of COVID-19 patients;although,the end-cause is most likely *** liver tests have been attributed to the expression of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptors in SARS-CoV-2 *** enzyme is expressed widely in cholangiocytes and less in *** factors attributed to liver damage include drug-induced liver injury,uncontrolled release of proinflammatory molecules(“cytokine storm”),pneumonia-associated hypoxia,and direct damage by the *** steatosis,vascular thrombosis,fibrosis,and inflammatory features(including Kupffer cell hyperplasia)are the most common liver histopathological findings in deceased COVID-19 patients,suggesting important indirect mechanisms of liver *** this translational medicinebased narrative review,we summarize the current data on the possible indirect mechanisms involved in liver damage due to COVID-19,the histopathological findings,and the impact of these mechanisms in patients with chronic liver disease.
