Despite two decades of major advances in the field of thermochronological modeling,state-of-the-art numerical implementations still rely mostly on burial and exhumation processes to explain radiometric *** though such an approach has proved valuable,failing to account for other first-order geological variables has led to misinterpretations and therefore,calls for a *** this study a new version of the Fetkin(finite element temperature kinematics,Ecopetrol)program is *** new algorithm couples time-dependent hydrological and thermal calculations,thus rendering thermochronological ages that,instead of being solely dependent on the kinematical evolution of a system,conditioning by the fluid flow is also *** contrast with previous thermochronological models,this work considers the influence of effective stress on rock properties(porosity and permeability)and therefore,in thermal *** analyses addressing relevant geological questions show not only the versatility of the code but also,new perspectives on forward low-temperature thermochronological *** circulation through pure-sandstone settings produce colder thermal architectures than those obtained in impermeable *** in cooling ages from models with and without fluid circulation are up to 5 Myr.A 4-fold variation in thrusting rates(0.5 km/Myr to 2 km/Myr)produces a 15-Myr difference in cooling ages in models with fluid flow,which contrasts to much lower differences,only 2 Myr,in domains without(or minimal)fluid circulation.2D thermal solutions in fold-bend-fold thrust belts composed of sandstones remain static despite substantial relief development by kinematic folding.A case-study from western Argentina,in the Andean Precordillera,confirms the plausibility of the numerical algorithm here posed and raises new questions on the first-order thermal controls in settings under deformation.

Introduction:The influence of the interaction of calcium carbonate(CaCO3)and surface-active substances(sAs;surfactants)with different chain lengths and cationic and anionic hydrophilic centers has been ***:Laboratory simulations indicate reduced negative influences on cationic sAs nitrification/self-purification processes in the presence of anionic *** suggests the role of complex ionic formation[anionic sAs*cationic sAs]as a cause of this ***-Vis spectra of lauryl sulfate(Ls)and of cetyltrimethylammonium(CTMA),as well as of their mixtures in ratios of 2:1 and 1:1,treated by fine particles of CaCO3,display decreased amounts of sAs in analyzed solutions and their presence on the surface of CaCO3 ***-Vis spectra reveal the decomposition of the complex[anionic sAs(sAs-An)*cationic sAs(sAs-Ct)]in solutions when CaCO3 is *** can be bonded by Ls through hydrophobic chains,on the surface of CaCO3 ***,CaCO3 modifies the nature of Ls and CTMA *** leads to an increased degree of toxicity of cationic sAs in aquatic *** amounts of CTMA in aqueous solutions are diminished in the presence of ammonium ion NH4+(2 mg/L).In the presence of two orders higher concentration of ammonium ion,this effect strongly increases,making the association *** structure of cationic sAs does not influence this *** obtained results have been confirmed both by timed natural aquatic sample analysis and laboratory simulations using water from Moldovan small rivers(Isnovat,Raut,and Bic).Conclusions:UV-Vis spectra and laboratory simulations demonstrate the change due to the addition of calcium *** and laboratory tests of water samples from Isnovat,Bic,and Raut Rivers,establish the cationic sAs negative influence on treatment and self-purification processes.

This paper describes a wood-wood spatial joining system adapted to digital fabrication which has been designated the“spatial Masterkey”.The wood stereotomy of the joints between the different pieces that make up this joining system is inspired by a three-dimensional puzzle called“snowflake”.The production process used in the masterkey system can be carried out using only a 3-axis CNC milling machine—a relatively affordable and easily accessible *** using digital manufacturing for the execution of wood-wood joints,several benefits are obtained including faster machining and greater cutting precision and uniformity in the products *** advantages make this joining system both economically competitive and environmentally ***,the versatility of this joining system means that its configuration can be adapted to a wide range of casuistry of encounters between members,which means that it can be used for a number of spatial *** includes,but is not limited to,the spatial module presented in this document.

water scarcity threatens global food security and agricultural systems are challenged to achieve high yields while optimizing water *** deficit can be accentuated by soil physical degradation,which also triggers water losses through runoff and consequently soil *** soil health in cropping systems within the Brazilian Cerrado biome have been surveyed throughout the years,information about soil erosion impacts and its mitigation are still not well understood;especially concerning the role of cropping system diversification and its effects on crop ***,the aim of this study was to assess whether ecological intensification of cropping systems-inclusion of a consorted perennial grass and crop rotation-could promote soil coverage and consequently decrease water erosion and soil,water,and nutrient *** work studied the effects of crop rotation and consorted Brachiaria,along with different levels of investment in fertilization on soil physical quality and on soil,water,and nutrient losses,and crop *** proved that soybean monoculture(ss)is a system of low sustainability even under no-till in the Brazilian Cerrado *** exhibited high susceptibility to soil,water,and nutrient losses,causing low crop *** results showed that water losses in ss cropping system were approximately 10%of the total annual rainfall,and total K losses would require an additional 35%of K ***,ecological intensification of cropping systems resulted in enhanced soil environmental and agronomic functions,increased grain yield,and promoted soil and water conservation:high soil cover rate,and low soil,water and nutrient *** intensification proved to be an adequate practice to boost crop resilience to water deficit in the Brazilian Cerrado.
