El Soplao outcrop, an Early Cretaceous amber deposit recently discovered in northern Spain （Cantabria）, has been shown to be the largest site of amber with arthropod inclusions that has been found in Spain so far. Relevant data provided herein for biogeochemistry of the amber, palynology, taphonomy and arthropod bioinclusions complement those previously published. This set of data suggests at least two botanical sources for the amber of El Soplao deposit. The first （type A amber） strongly supports a source related to Cheirolepidiaceae, and the second （type B amber） shows non-specific conifer biomarkers. Comparison of molecular composition of type A amber with Frenelopsis leaves （Cheirolepidiaceae） strongly suggests a biochemical affinity and a common botanical origin. A preliminary palynological study indicates a regional high taxonomical diversity, mainly of pteridophyte spores and gymnosperm pollen grains. According to the preliminary palynological data, the region was inhabited by conifer forests adapted to a dry season under a subtropical climate. The abundant charcoalified wood associated with the amber in the same beds is evidence of paleofires that most likely promoted both the resin production and an intensive erosion of the litter, and subsequent great accumulation of amber plus plant cuticles. In addition, for the first time in the fossil record, charcoalified plant fibers as bioinclnsions in amber are reported. Other relevant taphonomic data are the exceptional presence of serpulids and bryozoans on the surfaces of some amber pieces indicating both a long exposure on marine or brackish-water and a mixed assemblage of amber. Lastly, new findings of insect bioiuclusions, some of them uncommon in the fossil record or showing remarkable adaptations, are reported. In conclusion, a documented scenario for the origin of the El Soplao amber outcrop is provided.

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a non-pharmacological treatment for Parkinson’s disease (PD), and its efficacy depends largely on which anatomical structure (target) is stimulated. The subthalamic nucleus (STN) is one of the most commonly used targets, but stimulation of new targets within the posterior sub-thalamic area (PSA), comprising a group of white matter fibers known as prelemniscal radiations (Raprl), as well as the caudal zonaincerta nucleus (Zic), have proven to be superior at improving certain clinical symptoms. Despite their clinical usefulness, their anatomical connectivity has not been completely described in humans. We performed constrained spherical deconvolution of the signal in diffusion-weighted images and subsequent tractography as a means to non-invasively define the connectivity of the Raprl and Zic in a group of five patients with PD. Further, we used track-density imaging, a novel method to improve the spatial resolution of the acquired images, in order to visualize the small subregions that comprise the PSA with a voxel resolution of 0.2 × 0.2 × 0.2 mm3. Both Raprl and Zic demonstrated high probability of connectivity with the dorsal brainstem, cerebellum, subcortical nuclei (globus pallidum ventral, lateral thalamic nuclei), and cortical areas (orbitofrontal cortex, primary and supplementary motor cortex areas). The connectivity patterns were re-producible between patients and were discretely organized as the tracts entered/exited the PSA, depending on their end points. These findings indicate that the PSA is part of the neuronal circuitry controlling movement, and the precise characterization of its connectivity will aid in our understanding of the net-works involved in PD and how they can be modulated with DBS in order to alleviate symptoms.

Our previous studies have reported that activation of the NLRP3(NOD-,LRR-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3)-inflammasome complex in ethanol-treated astrocytes and chronic alcohol-fed mice could be associated with neuroinflammation and brain *** stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles(MSC-EVs)have been shown to restore the neuroinflammatory response,along with myelin and synaptic structural alterations in the prefrontal cortex,and alleviate cognitive and memory dysfunctions induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** the therapeutic role of the molecules contained in mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles,the present study analyzed whether the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles isolated from adipose tissue,which inhibited the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome,was capable of reducing hippocampal neuroinflammation in adolescent mice treated with binge *** demonstrated that the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles ameliorated the activation of the hippocampal NLRP3 inflammasome complex and other NLRs inflammasomes(e.g.,pyrin domain-containing 1,caspase recruitment domain-containing 4,and absent in melanoma 2,as well as the alterations in inflammatory genes(interleukin-1β,interleukin-18,inducible nitric oxide synthase,nuclear factor-kappa B,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,and C–X3–C motif chemokine ligand 1)and miRNAs(miR-21a-5p,miR-146a-5p,and miR-141-5p)induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** analysis further revealed the involvement of miR-21a-5p and miR-146a-5p with inflammatory target genes and NOD-like receptor signaling *** together,these findings provide novel evidence of the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived EVs to ameliorate the hippocampal neuroinflammatory response associated with NLRP3 inflammasome activation induced by binge drinking in adolescence.

2008年之前,西班牙经济增长持续了十多年,在此背景下,市级政府在很多领域强力制定政策,积极扩张职能。金融危机的爆发使市级政府难以再提供这些服务,2013年,中央政府通过了再集权政策,原因在于中央政府认为地方政府的支出模式不可持续。本文从新制度主义理论视角,分析了市级政府在儿童托管政策中的扩张参与现象以及这些活动对地方政府职能的影响。我们观察到,地方政府通过立法使其行为合法化的领域,在最初的正式分权安排中并未涉及,但其却被市民视为福利而受到高度评价,这是在重新分配任务时无意之间产生的积极效果。然而,地方政府并没有从立法层面解决其自主权的结构性缺失问题,时至今日,只有经济形势满意时,它们才能满足市民的期望。

Alterations in plant metabolism play a key role in the complex plant-pathogen ***,there is still a lack of knowledge about the connection between changes in primary and specialized metabolism and the plant defense against diseases that impact ***,we aim to study the metabolic reprograming in Brassica oleracea plants upon infection by Xanthomonas campestris ***(Xcc).To accomplish this,we utilized a combination of untargeted and targeted metabolomics,through UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS and 1H-NMR,in two crop lines differing in resistance thatwere evaluated at two-and four-week intervals following inoculation(T1 and T2,respectively).Besides,to depict the physiological status of the plant during infection,enzymatic activities related to the carbohydrate pathway and oxidative stress were *** results revealed different temporal dynamics in the responses of the susceptible *** crops *** *** line suppresses carbohydrate metabolism contributing to limit nutrient supplies to the bacterium and prioritizes the induction of defensive compounds such as indolic glucosinolates,salicylic acid,phenylpropanoids and phytoalexins precursors at early infection *** contrast,the susceptible line invests in carbohydratemetabolism,including enzymatic activities related to the hexoses turnover,and activates defense signaling related to reactive oxygen ***,each line triggers a different metabolic strategy that will affect how the plant overcomes the disease in terms of resistance and *** work provides first insights of a fine-tuned metabolic regulation during Xcc infection in *** that will contribute to develop new strategies for plant disease management.

Invasive fungal diseases(IFD)impact morbidity,mortality,hospital stay and healthcare costs in critically ill patients,constituting an unmet medical need.1 Pathogenic fungi rarely cause IFD in immunocompetent individuals but become life-threatening in cases of immunodeficiency,young infants,disrupted mucosal barriers or polyantibiotic therapy,highlighting the role of immune surveillance in IFD control.^(2)
