Relative humidity(RH) is a critical environmental variable for transportation and storage of products and for the quality guarantee of several other production processes and services. Heterogeneous structures prepared from the selective semiconductor oxides may improve the sensitivity to humidity due to the better electronic and surface properties, when compared to pristine oxides. This work shows an alternative fabrication route for producing titanium dioxide/tungsten trioxide(TiO2/WO3) heterogeneous structures(by electrospinning and sintering) for potential application on the RH detection. The microstructural properties of the materials were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis(EDS), X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy. The electrical characterization of the structures was performed by electrical impedance spectroscopy in RH range of 10%–100%. Results indicated a p-to n-type conduction transition at around 30%–40% RH for all tested settings. The analysis of the impedance signature to humidity showed that the amount of fiber layers on the electrode and working temperature are important parameters to improve the humidity sensing of the TiO2/WO3 systems.

Comparative Analysis of Gas Emissions from a Vehicle Running on Ethanol and Natural Gas Fuel

It is known that the transport sector has a fundamental importance in the modem society, as the economic development is directly linked to mobility. Over the years, the transport became linked to different environmental problems, which can be detached greenhouse gases emissions in the atmosphere, where in recent decades can be perceived the intensification and targeting of efforts in research and development of new technologies to reduce the levels of greenhouse gases emissions in the atmosphere. In this context, it can be highlighted the modem systems of electronic engine management, new automotive catalysts and the use of renewable fuels which contribute to reducing the environmental impact. This research had, as its purpose, the analysis of fuels characteristics used for testing, comparative analysis of gas emissions from a motor vehicle running on ethanol or natural gas fuels according to NBR 6601 and conducting tests to estimate the maximum catalytic efficiency. For the implementation of trial, a flex vehicle was installed in a chassis dynamometer equipped with a gas analyzer, in order that before the completion of the urban driving cycle, were determined the content of hydrocarbons corrected, carbon monoxide corrected, carbon dioxide and oxygen present in gas emissions from the engine. The research concluded that： the performance analysis for characterization of fuel showed consistent with ANP specifications; after tests performances, it can be stated that natural gas fuel was the fuel which had the highest content of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide corrected, while ethanol had the highest amount of carbon dioxide and oxygen residue present in gas emissions; before a comparative analysis, the vehicle catalyst showed the best performance for reducing the content of hydrocarbon corrected present in exhaustion gases when it worked with natural gas fuel and showed maximum efficiency of 100% to reduce the content of carbon monoxide corrected for both fuels. We report the results of five herpetological surveys during 2011-2013 that included visits to all districts of Timor-Leste （Aileu, Ainaro, Baucau, Bobonaro, Dili, Covalima, Ermera, Laut6m, Liquiga, Manatuto, Manufahi, Viqueque） except the Oecusse exclave. Our fieldwork culminated in the discovery of one putative new frog species （genus Kaloula）, at least five putative new lizard species （genera Cyrtodactylus, Cryptoblepharus, and Sphenomorphus）, and two putative new snake species （genera Stegonotus and Indotyphlops）. In addition, we present new distribution records of amphibians and reptiles for 11 of the country＇s 12 contiguous districts, along with additional natural history data. Results from our surveys increase the number of amphibian and reptiles known to occur in Timor-Leste from 22 species before our surveys began to over 60, including over 20 as yet undescribed species.

Herpetological surveys of locations in six districts of Timor-Leste(Dili, Baucau, Ermera, Liqui a, Manatuto, Viqueque) during 2010 led to the discovery of a new, high-altitude species of Cryptoblepharus from Ermera District, a new country record(Hemidactylus cf. tenkatei), and the recording of two previously unvouchered species(Python r. reticulatus and Liasis m. mackloti). In this article, we summarize these new records and present numerous new district records for Timor-Leste and four records for road-killed snakes seen in West Timor(Indonesia). With the addition of the results from our 2009 survey, the update presented herein increases the confirmed number of amphibian and reptile species for Timor-Leste to 47.

BACKGROUND Locoregional complications may occur in up to 30%of patients with colon *** they are frequent events in the natural history of this disease,there should be a concern in offering an oncologically adequate surgical treatment to these *** To compare the oncological radicality of surgery for colon cancer between urgent and elective *** One-hundred and eighty-nine consecutive patients with non-metastatic colon adenocarcinoma were studied over two years in a single institution,who underwent surgical resection as the first therapeutic approach,with 123 elective and 66 urgent *** assessment of oncological radicality was performed by analyzing the extension of the longitudinal margins of resection,the number of resected lymph nodes,and the percentage of surgeries with 12 or more resected lymph *** clinicopathological variables were compared between the two groups in terms of sex,age,tumor location,type of urgency,surgical access,staging,compromised lymph nodes rate,differentiation grade,angiolymphatic and perineural invasion,and early *** There was no difference between the elective and urgency group concerning the longitudinal margin of resection(average of 6.1 in elective vs 7.3 cm in urgency,P=0.144),number of resected lymph nodes(average of 17.7 in elective vs 16.6 in urgency,P=0.355)and percentage of surgeries with 12 or more resected lymph nodes(75.6%in elective vs 77.3%in urgency,P=0.798).It was observed that the percentage of patients aged 80 and over was higher in the urgency group(13.0%in elective vs 25.8%in urgency,P=0.028),and the early mortality was 4.9%in elective vs 15.2%in urgency(P=0.016,OR:3.48,95%CI:1.21–10.06).Tumor location(P=0.004),surgery performed(P=0.016)and surgical access(P<0.001)were also different between the two *** was no difference in other clinicopathological variables *** Oncological radicality of colon cancer surgery may be achieved in both emergency and

CONTEXT: Adenocarcinoma already comprises half the cases of lung cancer. Its insidious clinical evolution contributes to the fact that, in absolute numbers, lung tumor is the cancer with the highest mortality in the world. When still in situ, the adenocarcinoma is even quieter, making its typical presentation on the computerized tomography of an irregular semisolid nodule smaller than 3.0 cm. It is often diagnosed in a finding of examination in an asymptomatic patient. The prevalence of in situ adenocarcinoma (ISA) is less than 5% of pulmonary malignancies and its radiological presentation with a diffuse mosaic paving pattern is even more unusual, mimicking other conditions more frequent to this finding. CASE REPORT: We describe the case of a 44-year-old male patient with a history of chronic smoking admitted to the emergency room at a referral hospital in S?o Paulo on 12/16/2016 with a complaint of progressive dyspnea associated with dry cough for 3 months, intermittent fever and weight loss of 8 kg in 2 months. A chest X-ray and computed tomography showed discrete focal points of peribroncovascular consolidation, predominantly central, areas with frosted glass attenuation associated with smooth thickening of the interlobular septa, sometimes interspersed with areas of preserved parenchyma, giving an aspect of “crazing paving” with diffuse distribution by the pulmonary parenchyma. The patient underwent a biopsy with the anatomicopathological diagnosis of primary Adenocarcinoma in situ of the lung. CONCLUSION: We emphasize that the “crazing paving” of adenocarcinoma in situ pulmonary should be considered and known by the radiologist, because although isolated it is a rare condition, its early distrust in cases of atypical evolution of the most common injuries can avoid a diagnosis in phases more advanced and higher mortality.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the visible loss of sugar cane and the damage to the knuckles, using the John deere 3520 harvester on three different travel speeds (3.0;4.0 and 5.0 km·h-1), in DIC with five repetitions in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil. Each treatment was composed by six lines of harvested cane stumps, with a length of 290 m each. In these six lines, the remains of sugar cane left in the field were collected by placing the sampling frame in two central lines every 50 m, and separating 40 m of edge. The sampling area was surrounded by 2 m wide and 10 m long, totaling 20 m2. To calculate the damage to stumps, a visual methodology by [1], was used, which classifies the damage grade, ranging from 1 to 4. Fifty stumps were assessed randomly for each speed, in a sampling area of 1800 m2. The data were submitted to ANOVA and Tukey test at 5%, in order to compare the effect of different speeds on the losses and damages. There was no significant difference regarding the loss or damage by comparing the different speeds. Therefore, it is more advantageous to use the speed of 5.0 km·h-1, harvesting more in less time and causing the same level of damage.

AIM： To investigate a potential protective role of the kinin B2 receptor in a glycerol-induced rhabdomyolysis mouse model. METHODS： We separated 28 C57Bl/6 male mice into 4 groups： untreated WT animals, untreated B2 knockout mice, glycerol-treated WT and glycerol-treated B2 knockout mice. Glycerol-treated animals received one intramuscular injections of glycerol solution （50% v/v, 7 mL/kg）. After 48 h, urine and blood samples were collected to measure creatinine and urea levels. Addi-tionally, kidney samples were extracted for histological evaluation, and the mRNA expression levels of kinin B1 and B2 receptors and infammatory mediators were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS： Serum creatinine and urea levels showed differences between untreated wild-type and glycerol-treated wild-type mice （0.66 ± 0.04 vs 2.61 ± 0.53 mg/dL, P 〈 0.01; and 33.51 ± 2.08 vs 330.2 ± 77.7 mg/dL, P 〈 0.005）, and between untreated B2 knock-out mice and glycerol-treated knockout mice （0.56 ± 0.03 vs 2.23 ± 0.87 mg/dL, P 〈 0.05; and 42.49 ± 3.2 vs 327.2 ± 58.4 mg/dL, P 〈 0.01）, but there was no difference between the glycerol-treated wild-type and glycerol-treated knockout mice. Glycerol was able to in-duce a striking increase in kinin B2 receptor expression （〉 30 times, 31.34 ± 8.9） in kidney. Animals injected with glycerol had a higher degree of tubular injury than untreated animals. Wild-type and knockout mice treat-ed with glycerol intramuscularly present kidney injury, with impairment in renal function. However, B2 knock-out mice treated with glycerol did not show a different phenotype regarding kidney injury markers, when com-pared to the wild-type glycerol-treated group. CONCLUSION： We conclude that the kinin B2 receptordoes not have a protective role in renal injury.

A Rare Case of Diaphragmatic Extralobar Pulmonary Sequestration

Context: Bronchopulmonary sequestration is defined as a congenital malformation in which a portion of lung tissue does not communicate with the normal bronchial tree and the pulmonary arteries. Case Report: We present a case of a 35-year-old male complaining of left lower back pain and with a mass in the left thoracoabdominal transition. Imaging studies have suggested a pulmonary sequestration and its diagnosis was confirmed by histopathological study. Conclusion: Diaphragmatic extralobar pulmonary sequestration is a rare anomaly whose radiological diagnosis is difficult. This case is illustrative and demonstrates the importance of imaging methods to the correct diagnosis and effective treatment.
