＜正＞This paper presents a closed loop control technique for harmonic content reduction in the stator current of an induction machine feeded with a three phase inverter,within a velocity control *** a digital filter for Clarke transformation,a robust sliding flux observer,and a closed loop control for the zero sequence of a SVPWM three phase inverter,this work shows how the proposed schema can effectively reduce the harmonic content in the stator currents of the induction machine despite of variations on the load torque using just two sensors:a current sensor for one of the stator phases and a velocity sensor for the closed loop control of the velocity of the machine.

Objective:To evaluate antioxidant,cytotoxic,and anti-venom capacity of crude bark extracts of Alstonia parvifolia ***:Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and energy dispersive X-ray analyses were accomplished to characterize the chemical constituents of Alstonia *** characterization was evaluated using an inhibitory phospholipase A_(2)(PLA_(2))assay,DPPH,and cytotoxicity *** the constituents listed in the GC-MS analyses,molecular docking was conducted to inspect the binding energies between the chosen compounds and selected PLA_(2) ***:GC-MS analyses showed that the Alstonia parvifolia crude extract consisted predominantly of acetylmarinobufogenin(14.89%),γ-sitosterol(10.44%),3-O-methyl-D-glucose(5.88%),3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid(5.30%),(2α,5α)-17-methoxyaspidofractinin-3-one(AFM)(4.08%),and 2,3,5,6,7,8,9-heptahydro-1-phenyl-5-(p-chlorophenylimino)-1H-benzo[e][1,4]thiazepine(HPT)(1.37%).The principal elemental components of Alstonia parvifolia were Ca(4.012%)and K(1.496%),as exhibited by energy dispersive X-ray *** parvifolia showed significant free radical scavenging ability(IC_(50):0.287 mg/mL)and was non-cytotoxic to normal HDFn cells(IC_(50)>100μg/mL).Moreover,Alstonia parvifolia was favorably cytotoxic to MCF-7(IC_(50):4.42µg/mL),followed by H69PR,HT-29,and THP-1,with IC_(50) values of 4.94,5.07,and 6.27µg/mL,*** parvifolia also displayed notable inhibition against PLA_(2) activity of Naja philippinensis Taylor venom with IC_(50) of(15.2±1.8)μg/*** and cluster analyses projected negative binding energies from AFM(−6.36 to−9.68 kcal/mol),HPT(−7.38 to−9.77 kcal/mol),and acetylmarinobufogenin(−7.22 to−9.59 kcal/mol).These calculations were for the particular interactions of Alstonia parvifolia constituents to PLA_(2) homologues where the utmost affinity was detected in HPT owing to the dipole interactions with amino acid ***:The bark e

The radioactive particle tracking technique was used to study the effect of internal ring baffles on wet agglomerate motion inside a cold flow recirculating fluidized bed. The study found that using such a baffle on its own or above the regular sheds helps reduce the fouling of the stripper section by increasing the residence time that the agglomerates spend above the baffle, thereby reducing the release of the vapors below the baffles that cause fouling of the sheds. Adding down-comers, or flux tubes, to the ring baffles degrades the performance of the baffles, Reducing the length of the flux tubes, so that they do not reach the bottom of the baffle lip results in a further degradation in baffle performance.

AIM: To evaluate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS), obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in a group of Mexican Mestizo patients with cryptogenic cirrhosis (CC) and to compare this group with patients with cirrhosis secondary to other causes (disease controls). METHODS: Patients with CC, diagnosed between January, 1990 and April, 2005, were included in a retrospective study. Patients with cirrhosis caused by chronic hepatitis C, alcohol abuse or autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) served as disease controls. RESULTS: A total of 134 patients with CC were analyzed. Disease controls consisted of 81 patients with chronic hepatitis C, 33 with alcohol abuse and 20 with AIH. The median age of patients with CC was 57 years (range, 16-87); 83 (61.9%) patients were female; 53 (39.6%) were Child A, 65 (48.5%) Child B, and 16 (11.9%) were Child C cirrhosis. The prevalence of MS (29.1% vs 6%; P < 0.001), obesity (16.4% vs 8.2%; P = 0.04) and T2DM (40% vs 22.4%; P = 0.013) was higher in CC patients than in disease controls. There were no differences in sex, age or liver function tests between the two groups. CONCLUSION: The prevalence of MS, obesityand T2DM were higher in patients with CC than in patients with cirrhosis secondary to others causes. Our findings support the hypothesis that non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) plays an under-recognized role in CC.

Objective: To investigate the age at menarche, pubarche and telarche in a representative sample of residents of an urban zone of Leon, Guanajuato, Central Mexico and to evaluate the secular change of the age at menarche between 1985 and 2000. Methods: Using status quo and retrospective methods, menarcheal, pubarcheal and telarcheal status of girls 8 - 17 years of age (n = 1093) were determined. Multiple regression analysis and logistic regression were used to determine factors that were related to or predictive of age at menarche. Results: Median ages for menarche, pubarche and telarche in our studied sample were: 11.9 ± 0.04;11.13 ± 1.25 and 10.84 ± 1.34 years, respectively. A direct correlation was found between the age of menarche of adolescents and that of their mother (p p p = 0.001), but an indirect correlation was found with the girls’ hip circumference (p = 0.004). We demonstrated a clear secular tendency towards an earlier onset of menarche by comparing our results (11.9 ± 0.04) with data from 1985 (12.8 ± 1.3) for adolescents from the same city. Conclusion: We demonstrated a clear reduction in age at menarche of approximately 0.75 year/decade, higher than Tanner’s finding in 1962, but similar than that of Malina et al. in 2004.

Objective: To evaluate transperineal laser ablation (TPLA) with Echolaser® (Echolaser® TPLA, Elesta S.p.A., Calenzano, Italy) as a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) using the Delphi consensus ***: Italian and international experts on BPH and PCa participated in a collaborative consensus project. During two rounds, they expressed their opinions on Echolaser® TPLA for the treatment of BPH and PCa answering online questionnaires on indications, methodology, and potential complications of this technology. Level of agreement or disagreement to reach consensus was set at 75%. If the consensus was not achieved, questions were modified after each round. A final round was performed during an online meeting, in which results were discussed and ***: Thirty-two out of forty invited experts participated and consensus was reached on all topics. Agreement was achieved on recommending Echolaser® TPLA as a treatment of BPH in patients with ample range of prostate volume, from 80 mL (80%), comorbidities (100%), antiplatelet or anticoagulant treatment (96%), indwelling catheter (77%), and strong will of preserving ejaculatory function (100%). Majority of respondents agreed that Echolaser® TPLA is a potential option for the treatment of localized PCa (78%) and recommended it for low-risk PCa (90%). During the final round, experts concluded that it can be used for intermediate-risk PCa and it should be proposed as an effective alternative to radical prostatectomy for patients with strong will of avoiding urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Almost all participants agreed that the transperineal approach of this organ-sparing technique is safer than transrectal and transurethral approaches typical of other techniques (97% of agreement among experts). The effect of aqueous extract of Cecropia glazioui Snethlage (Embauba) in the rat fetal development. This study was to complement previous assays on the physical and neurobehavioral development of rats resulted from oral administration of 1 g/kg/day Cecropia glazioui Snethlage (C. glazioui) aqueous extract (LD50 > 5 g·kg-1in pregnant rats (peri- and post-natal studies). In the present study, the effect of 2.5 g/kg/week C. glazioui aqueous extract, administered to pregnant rats during 15 days, was verified in the rat offspring development. No acute or chronic toxicity (no effects on mortality or weight average daily gain) were observed. In addition, no effects on reproductive parameters (offspring vitality, placenta and fetus weight, number of corpora lutea on each ovary, pre- and post-implantation loss) and on offspring external morphology were found. We concluded that C. glazioui aqueous extract administered during pregnancy did not cause abnormalities in rat offspring.
