Effect of Variation of the Coefficient of Friction on the Temperature at the Level of the Fault Lips

Earth’s crust is an anisotropic and purely heterogeneous medium, which is justified by existence of different discontinuities;our study aims to show the effect of the variation of coefficient of friction on the evolution of temperature and its impact on seismic forecasting. In this work, we are model in 2D the variation of thermal energy and temperature produced by friction at the level of fault lip as function of depth of the seismic focus and at different value of time. Earthquakes are born when the energy accumulated by friction at the level of fault is suddenly released causing damage, sometimes noticeable on the surface of earth (macroseisms), and sometimes not at all noticeable on the surface of earth (microseisms), then energy which occurs before is important to forecasting earthquake. Assuming that coefficient of friction is variable, our results have enabled us to highlight the fact that, the greater the coefficient of friction, more the temperature increases, although the temperature profile increase over time but not linearly reflecting the presence of different asperities and discontinuities zone;slip generated at the level of fault occur a variation of temperature on specific points called roughness in common agreement with the literature. A large part of energy produced by friction is dissipated in heat causing a local increases in temperature which a very short duration and called flash contact temperature, and that despite the fact that the temperature evolved in time and space, it all converged towards a perfectly distinguishable fixed point.

PETO Interacts with Other Effectors of Cyclic Electron Flow in Chlamydomonas

While photosynthetic linear electron flow produces both ATP and NADPH, cyclic electron flow （CEF） around photosystem I （PSI） and cytochrome bef generates only ATP. CEF is thus essential to balance the supply of ATP and NADPH for carbon fixation; however, it remains unclear how the system tunes the relative levels of linear and cyclic flow. Here, we show that PETO, a transmembrane thylakoid phosphoprotein specific of green algae, contributes to the stimulation of CEF when cells are placed in anoxia. In oxic conditions, PETO co-fractionates with other thylakoid proteins involved in CEF （ANR1, PGRL1, FNR）. In PETO-knock- down strains, interactions between these CEF proteins are affected. Anoxia triggers a reorganization of the membrane, so that a subpopulation of PSi and cytochrome bsf now co-fractionates with the CEF effectors in sucrose gradients. The absence of PETO impairs this reorganization. Affinity purification identifies ANR1 as a major interactant of PETO. ANR1 contains two ANR domains, which are also found in the N-terminal region of NdhS, the ferredoxin-binding subunit of the plant ferredoxin-plastoquinone oxidoreductase （NDH）. We propose that the ANR domain was co-opted by two unrelated CEF systems （PGR and NDH）, possibly as a sensor of the redox state of the membrane.

Previous studies show that the calculated loading effects from global ocean tide models do not match actual measurements of gravity attraction and loading effects in Southeast *** this paper,taking advantage of a unique network of gravity tidal stations all over the Chinese mainland,we compare the observed and modeled tidal loading effects on the basis of the most recent global ocean tide *** results show that the average efficiencies of the ocean tidal loading correction for O_(1),K_(1),M_(2) are 77%,7 s3%and 59%,*** loading correction efficiencies using recent ocean tidal models are better than the 40 years old Schwiderskis model at coastal stations,but relative worse at stations far from ocean.

Some Tools to Model Ground or Supply Bounces Induced in and out of Heterogeneous Integrated Circuits

Electrical ground looks simple on a schematic; unfortunately, the actual performance of a circuit is dictated by its layout （and by its printed-circuit-board）. When the ground node moves, system performance suffers and the system radiates electromagnetic interferences. But the understanding of the physics of ground noise can provide an intuitive sense for reducing the problem. Ground bounce can produce transients with amplitudes of volts; most often changing magnetic flux is the cause; in this work, the authors use a Finite-Difference Time-Domain to begin to understand such phenomena. Additionally, predicting substrate cross-talks in mixed-signal circuits has become a critical issue to preserve signal integrity in future integrated systems. Phenomena that involve parasitic signal propagation into the substrate are discussed. A simple methodology to predict the substrate cross-talk and some associated tools are presented. Finally, the authors indicate a stochastic method which could grasp both outer or inner RF （Radio-Frequency） radiations and substrate parasites.

Analytical and Numerical Model Confrontation for Transfer Impedance Extraction in Three-Dimensional Radio Frequency Circuits

3D chip stacking is considered known to overcome conventional 2D-IC issues, using through silicon vias to ensure vertical signal transmission. From any point source, embedded or not, we calculate the impedance spread out;our ultimate goal will to study substrate noise via impedance field method. For this, our approach is twofold: a compact Green function or a Transmission Line Model over a multi-layered substrate is derived by solving Poisson’s equation analytically. The Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and its variations are used for rapid evaluation. Using this technique, the substrate coupling and loss in IC’s can be analyzed. We implement our algorithm in MATLAB;it permits to extract impedances between any pair of embedded contacts. Comparisons are performed using finite element methods.

Fractional Rider Deep Long Short Term Memory Network for Workload Prediction-Based Distributed Resource Allocation Using Spark in Cloud Gaming

The modern development in cloud technologies has turned the idea of cloud gaming into sensible behaviour. The cloud gaming provides an interactive gaming application, which remotely processed in a cloud system, and it streamed the scenes as video series to play through network. Therefore, cloud gaming is a capable approach, which quickly increases the cloud computing platform. Obtaining enhanced user experience in cloud gaming structure is not insignificant task because user anticipates less response delay and high quality videos. To achieve this, cloud providers need to be able to accurately predict irregular player workloads in order to schedule the necessary resources. In this paper, an effective technique, named as Fractional Rider Deep Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) network is developed for workload prediction in cloud gaming. The workload of each resource is computed based on developed Fractional Rider Deep LSTM network. Moreover, resource allocation is performed by fractional Rider-based Harmony Search Algorithm (Rider-based HSA). This Fractional Rider-based HSA is developed by combining Fractional calculus (FC), Rider optimization algorithm (ROA) and Harmony search algorithm (HSA). Moreover, the developed Fractional Rider Deep LSTM is developed by integrating FC and Rider Deep LSTM. In addition, the multi-objective parameters, namely gaming experience loss QE, Mean Opinion Score (MOS), Fairness, energy, network parameters, and predictive load are considered for efficient resource allocation and workload prediction. Additionally, the developed workload prediction model achieved better performance using various parameters, like fairness, MOS, QE, energy and delay. Hence, the developed Fractional Rider Deep LSTM model showed enhanced results with maximum fairness, MOS, QE of 0.999, 0.921, 0.999 and less energy and delay of 0.322 and 0.456.

The authors state briefly the possibility of various simulators to handle propagation of electromagnetic waves along some interconnections, in 3D RF （Radio Frequency） circuits. The studies are first derived in the time domain： a Finite-Difference Time-Domain method is applied, taking spectra via FFTs （Fast Fourier Transform） as post-processors. Electric and magnetic field distributions, pulse propagations along stripline structures or vias are highlighted. The scattering parameters for various cases are extracted and compared. Some original issue of this work is an insight on crosstalk or shielding phenomena between lines.

The visualization of symmetric structure by [18F]-FluoroDeoxyGlucose-Positron Emission Tomography (FDG-PET), corresponding to adipose density in computed tomography (CT), has led to the idea that Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) could be present in adult human. This article studies the FDG uptake in a mice model deficient on Uncoupling Protein 1 (UCP1), in a simple thermal activation protocol. Methods: FDG were injected in mice, control and knock out (K.O.) for the UCP1. Before imaging mice were placed either in cold or warm environment. BAT uptake was evaluated by ratio named RISC. Results: In warm condition, mean value of the Ratio of Inter-Scapular uptake (RISC) was 1.34 +/﹣ 0.27. After cold exposure, RISC increased 2 fold for control mice, male K.O. did not increase their RISC, female K.O. increased their RISC up to 2.45. Conclusion: Our study brought a further confirmation that FDG-PET visualised activated Brown Adipose Tissue. It gives a direct proof of the role of UCP1 in this process. The FDG uptake by cold female K.O. mice was unexpected.

Introduction: One of the biggest challenges for HIV-infected adolescents on antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the long-term maintenance of viral suppression, which is the third 90% goal of UNAIDS. Therapeutic Education (TE), process of acquiring abilities and skills that help the patient to live optimally with his illness is one of the strategies that contribute to the achievement of viral suppression through the therapeutic adhesion contract and the follow-up of the patient. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of TE on the virologic response of children and adolescents aged 8 - 19 under ART and followed up at the Laquintinie Hospital of Douala (LHD). Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Pediatric Unit of the HIV/AIDS Accredited Treatment Center (ATC) at LHD from February to May 2016. Children and adolescents aged 8 to 19 years on ART, followed in ATC/LHD whose parents had agreed to participate in the study, and who had achieved at least one viral load before and after initiation of TE, were recruited consecutively during routine medical follow-up. Data were collected from patients’ medical records and questionnaires administered to study participants. Results: A total of 198 children and adolescents were included in this study with an average age of 14 years (±3). In this study population, 86.1% of children aged 8 - 10 years had acquired knowledge of the importance of taking medications, 95.4% and 97.3% of adolescents aged 11 - 14 years and 15 - 19 years had knowledge of medication schedules respectively. Among children and adolescents with undetectable viral load prior to initiation of TE, 76.5% maintained an undetectable viral load after initiation of TE. In addition, 72.3% of those whose viral load was detectable before initiation of TE had acquired an undetectable or decreasing viral load after initiation of TE.
