Regulating ion transport behaviors toward dendrite-free potassium metal batteries:recent advances and perspectives

With abundant potassium resources and high capacity,potassium metal batteries(PMBs)present a compelling option for the next generation of energy storage ***,PMBs suffer from an unstable anode interface caused by uncontrolled dendrite growth,which results in unsatisfactory cyclability and safety *** investigations suggest that significant progress has been made in enhancing the interfacial stability of *** various effective strategies for stabilizing interfaces can ultimately be attributed to the regulation of the sluggish ion transfer kinetics and irregular deposition,i.e.,the arrangement of ion transport behaviors at the *** modulation of ions transport rate and ions deposition directions makes it possible to obtain a dendrite-free and smooth deposition ***,the influencing factors and action mechanism of k^(+)interface transport behaviors are discussed to understand the nature of material design for constructing stable anode interfaces,including regulating the solvation and desolvation structures,accelerating k^(+)transport kinetics and controlling k^(+)deposition *** addition,the deficiencies and prospects of the research on electrolyte,separators and designed electrode involved in the manufacturing and testing and ion transport process of PMBs are *** review is expected to provide some possible directions for constructing dendrite-free interfaces in advanced PMBs-related research and offer significant insights for prospective experimental research and commercial applications.

Transcriptional regulation is essential for balancing multiple metabolic pathways that influence oil accumulation in *** far,the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms that govern seed oil accumulation remain largely ***,we identified the transcriptional regulatory network composed of maDS-box transcription factors SEEDSTICk(STk)and SEPALLATA3(SEP3),which bridges several key genes to regulate oil accumulation in *** found that STk,highly expressed in the developing embryo,positively regulates seed oil accumulation in Arabidopsis(Arabidopsis thaliana).Furthermore,we discovered that SEP3 physically interacts with STk in vivo and in *** oil content is increased by the SEP3 mutation,while it is decreased by SEP3 *** chromatin immunoprecipitation,electrophoretic mobility shift assay,and transient dual-luciferase reporter assays showed that STk positively regulates seed oil accumulation by directly repressing the expression of MYB5,SEP3,and SEED FATTY ACID REDUCER 4(SFAR4).Moreover,genetic and molecular analyses demonstrated that STk and SEP3 antagonistically regulate seed oil production and that SEP3 weakens the binding ability of STk to MYB5,SEP3,and ***,we demonstrated that TRANSPARENT TESTA 8(TT8)and ACYL-ACYL CARRIER PROTEIN DESATURASE 3(AAD3)are direct targets of MYB5 during seed oil accumulation in ***,our findings provide the transcriptional regulatory network antagonistically orchestrated by STk and SEP3,which fine tunes oil accumulation in seeds.

Prevalence and Tasks Associated with Respiratory Symptoms among Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Handlers in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2019

Introduction: The uncontrolled management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (W3E) causes respiratory problems in the handlers of this waste. The objective was to study the stains associated with respiratory symptoms in W3E handlers. Methods: The study was cross-sectional with an analytical focus on W3E handlers in the informal sector in Ouagadougou. A peer-validated questionnaire collected data on a sample of 161 manipulators. Results: the most common W3E processing tasks were the purchase or sale of W3E (67.70%), its repair (39.75%) and its collection (31.06%). The prevalence of cough was 21.74%, that of wheezing 14.91%, phlegm 12.50% and dyspnea at rest 10.56%. In bivariate analysis, there were significant associations at the 5% level between W3E repair and phlegm (p-value = 0.044), between W3E burning and wheezing (p-value = 0.011) and between W3E and cough (p-value = 0.01). The final logistic regression models suggested that the burning of W3E and the melting of lead batteries represented risk factors for the occurrence of cough with respective prevalence ratios of 4.57 and 4.63. Conclusion: raising awareness on the wearing of personal protective equipment, in particular masks adapted by W3E handlers, favoring those who are dedicated to the burning of electronic waste and the melting of lead could make it possible to reduce the risk of occurrence of respiratory symptoms.

Improving link prediction models through a performance enhancement scheme:a study on semi-supervised learning and model soup

As an important method for knowledge graph(kG)complementation,link prediction has become a hot research topic in recent *** this paper,a performance enhancement scheme for link prediction models based on the idea of semi-supervised learning and model soup is proposed,which effectively improves the model performance on several mainstream link prediction models with small changes to their *** novel scheme consists of two main parts,one is predicting potential fact triples in the graph with semi-supervised learning strategies,the other is creatively combining semi-supervised learning and model soup to further improve the final model performance without adding significant computational *** validate the effectiveness of the scheme for a variety of link prediction models,especially on the dataset with dense *** terms of CompGCN,the model with the best overall performance among the tested models improves its Hits@1 metric by 14.7%on the FB15k-237 dataset and 7.8%on the WN18RR dataset after using the enhancement ***,it is observed that the semi-supervised learning strategy in the augmentation scheme has a significant improvement for multi-class link prediction models,and the performance improvement brought by the introduction of the model soup is related to the specific tested models,as the performances of some models are improved while others remain largely unaffected.

Understanding the Thermal Impedance of Silicone Rubber/Hexagonal Boron Nitride Composites as Thermal Interface materials

Silicone rubber(SR) composites are most widely used as thermal interface materials(TIMs) for electronics heat dissipation. Thermal impedance as the main bottleneck limiting the performance of TIMs is usually neglected. Herein, the thermal impedance of SR composites loaded with different levels of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) as TIMs was elaborated for the first time by the ASTM D 5470 standard test and finite element analysis. It was found that elastic modulus and surface roughness of SR composites increased with the increase of h-BN content, indicating that the conformity was reduced. When the assembly pressure was 0.69 MPa, there existed an optimal h-BN content at which the contact resistance was minimum(0.39 k·cm^(2)·W^(-1)). Although the decreased bond line thickness(BLT) by increasing the assembly pressure was beneficial to reduce the thermal impedance, the proper assembly pressure should be selected to prevent the warpage of the contact surfaces and the increase in contact resistance, according to the compression properties of the SR composites. This study provides valuable insights into fabrication of high-performance TIMs for modern electronic device applications.

Hyperbolic hierarchical graph attention network for knowledge graph completion

Utilizing graph neural networks for knowledge embedding to accomplish the task of knowledge graph completion(kGC)has become an important research area in knowledge graph ***,the number of nodes in the knowledge graph increases exponentially with the depth of the tree,whereas the distances of nodes in Euclidean space are second-order polynomial distances,whereby knowledge embedding using graph neural networks in Euclidean space will not represent the distances between nodes *** paper introduces a novel approach called hyperbolic hierarchical graph attention network(H2GAT)to rectify this ***,the paper conducts knowledge representation in the hyperbolic space,effectively mitigating the issue of exponential growth of nodes with tree depth and consequent information ***,it introduces a hierarchical graph atten-tion mechanism specifically designed for the hyperbolic space,allowing for enhanced capture of the network structure inherent in the knowledge ***,the efficacy of the proposed H2GAT model is evaluated on benchmark datasets,namely WN18RR and FB15k-237,thereby validating its *** H2GAT model achieved 0.445,0.515,and 0.586 in the Hits@1,Hits@3 and Hits@10 metrics respectively on the WN18RR dataset and 0.243,0.367 and 0.518 on the FB15k-237 *** incorporating hyperbolic space embedding and hierarchical graph attention,the H2GAT model successfully addresses the limitations of existing hyperbolic knowledge embedding models,exhibiting its competence in knowledge graph completion tasks.

Tumor necrosis factorα(TNFα)exhibits diverse biological functions;however,its regulatory roles in myogenesis are not fully *** the present study,we explored the function of TNFαin myoblast proliferation,differentiation,migration,and myotube fusion in primary myoblasts and C2C12 *** this end,we constructed TNFαmuscle-conditional knockout(TNFα-CkO)mice and compared them with flox mice to assess the effects of TNFαknockout on skeletal *** indicated that TNFα-CkO mice displayed phenotypes such as accelerated muscle development,enhanced regenerative capacity,and improved exercise endurance compared to flox mice,with no significant differences observed in major visceral organs or skeletal *** label-free proteomic analysis,we found that TNFα-CkO altered the distribution of several muscle development-related proteins,such as Hira,Casz1,Casp7,Arhgap10,Gas1,Diaph1,map3k20,Cfl2,and Igf2,in the nucleus and *** set enrichment analysis(GSEA)further revealed that TNFαdeficiency resulted in positive enrichment in oxidative phosphorylation and MyoD targets and negative enrichment in JAk-STAT *** findings suggest that TNFα-CkO positively regulates muscle growth and development,possibly via these newly identified targets and pathways.
