Interaction of the major inflammatory bowel disease susceptibility alleles in Crohn’s disease patients

AIM:To investigate the interaction of interleukin-23 receptor(IL23R)(rs1004819 and rs2201841),autophagy-related 16-like 1(ATG16L1)(rs2241880), caspase recruitment domain-containing protein 15 (CARD15)genes,and IbD5 locus in Crohn's disease(CD) patients. METHODS:A total of 315 unrelated subjects with CD and 314 healthy controls were *** and specific genotype combinations of a total of eight variants were *** variants of IbD5locus(IGR2198a_1 rs11739135 and IGR2096a_1 rs12521868),CARD15(R702W rs2066845 and L1007fs rs2066847),ATG16L1(rs2241880)and IL23R (rs1004819,rs2201841)genes were genotyped by PCR-RFLP,the G908R(rs2066844)in CARD15 was determined by direct sequencing. RESULTS:The association of ATG16L1 T300A with CD was confirmed[P=0.004,odds ratio(OR)=1.69, 95%CI:1.19-2.41],and both IL23R variants were found to represent significant risk for the disease(P= 0.008,OR=2.05,95%CI:1.20-3.50 for rs1004819 AA;Pbowel disease (IbD)loci indicated that IL23R,ATG16L1,CARD15 and IbD5(IGR2198a_1)contribute independently to disease *** also analysed the specific combina- tions by pair of individual ATG16L1,IL23R rs1004819, rs2201841,IGR2198a_1,IGR2096a_1 and CARD15 genotypes for disease risk *** almost all cases,the combined risk of susceptibility pairs was higher in patients carrying two different risk-associated gene variants together than individuals with just one *** highest OR was found for IL23R rs2201841 homozygous genotype with combination of positive CARD15 status(PbD susceptibility loci.

Petroselinum crispum (Mill.) AW Hill Apiaceae (Parsley) is a plant species commonly used for its culinary value, but little is known about its phytochemical composition and antioxidant properties. This study aimed to deepen knowledge of the Petroselinum crispum leaves (LPc) grown and consumed in benin. The phytochemical screening of the LPc powder was done according to the method of Houghton and Raman at the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy and Essential Oils of the Institute of Applied biomedical Sciences in benin. The antioxidant activity (ICb>50b>) was evaluated by the DPPH reduction test. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of chemical groups such as catechin tannins, gallic tannins, flavones, saponins, mucilages, coumarins, reducing agents and O-heterosides with reduced genins in the LPc powder. The aqueous extract of LPc showed antioxidant activity with an ICb>50b> = 63.66 μg/mL and was found to be less active than ascorbic acid (ICb>50b> = 0.111 μg/mL). No acute oral toxicity was observed and the LDb>50b> of the aqueous extract of LPc is estimated to be greater than 5000 mg/kg in the Wistar rat. The absence of toxicity, its antioxidant activity associated with its richness in active ingredients makes Petroselinum crispum a promising species suitable for safe long-term use as food.

background: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a frequent reason for consultation and lead to a significant and sometimes inappropriate prescription of antibiotics. The latter favors antibiotic resistance and an increase in mortality as well as the cost of treatment. The present study aims to contribute to the fight against antibiotic resistance of enterobacteria. Methods: This is a prospective study from January to December, 2021 in the Microbiology laboratory of the General Reference Hospital (GRH) of Niamey including 3369 urine samples. The antibiotic resistance of enterobacteria was determined using the Viteck-2 method. Results: At least 280 strains of Enterobacteriaceae were isolated from the patient’s urine. Among these strains, Escherichia coli was the most predominant (74.64%), followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae (16.07%) and Enterobacter cloacae (7.14%) and other enterobacteria 2.15%. These Enterobacteriaceae are more common in community patients than in hospitalized patients. The average age of patients is 52 years and the age group most affected by these enterobacteria is 46 - 60 years (23.33%). The female sex is the most affected sex with (51.07%) against (48.97%) for the male sex with 1.04 as sex ratio. The hospitalization departments most affected by these enterobacteria are Nephrology (29.23%) and Endocrinology (21.54%). Up to 75% of the Enterobacteriaceae isolates show high resistance to ampicillin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, ticarcillin, piperacillin-tazobactam, cefoxitin, cefixime, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone, cotrimoxazole, nalidixic acid and ofloxacin. Conclusion: The high rate of antibiotic resistance among enterobacteria in urine is of concern. Only a few Enterobacteriaceae show low resistance to ertapenem, imipenem, amikacin, gentamicin, fosfomycin and nitrofurantoin. Therefore, these antibiotics are recommended as first line treatment for urinary tract infections.

Developing dopant-free hole-transporting materials(HTMs)for high-performance perovskite solar cells(PVSCs)has been a very active research topic in recent years since HTMs play a critical role in optimizing interfacial charge carrier kinetics and in turn determining device ***,a novel dendritic engineering strategy is first utilized to design HTMs with a D-A type molecular framework,and diphenylamine and/or carbazole is selected as the building block for constructing *** HTMs show good thermal stability and excellent film morphology,and the key optoelectronic properties could be fine-tuned by varying the dendron *** them,MPA-Cz-bTI and MCz-Cz-bTI exhibit an improved interfacial contact with the perovskite active layer,and non-radiative recombination loss and charge transport loss can be effectively ***,high power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of 20.8%and 21.35%are achieved for MPA-Cz-bTI and MCz-Cz-bTI based devices,respectively,accompanied by excellent long-term storage *** encouragingly,ultrahigh fill factors of 85.2%and 83.5%are recorded for both devices,which are among the highest values reported to *** work demonstrates the great potential of dendritic materials as a new type of dopant-free HTMs for high-performance PVSCs with excellent FF.

The occurrence of both band-like and atom-like Auger spectra involving valence band electron of d-transition metals is discussed based on the two-step model of the Auger electron emission, *** initial core-hole is first generated and the Auger transition occurs between the core-hole andthe valence states, The occupied vaIence states relax to screen the core-hole which results in a redistribution of the valence electrons, The electronic states concerned by the Auger transitionare calculated by the FLAPW method. There is a clear relation between band-like and atom-like features of the spectra and the different responses of these metals to the existence of a core-hole.

利用孢粉定量重建古气候已经有多种数学方法和模型,如何进一步改进数学模型,提高气候预测的精确度,是孢粉—气候研究的重要方向。目前全球已经建立了多个现代孢粉数据库,包括北美现代孢粉数据库,欧洲现代孢粉数据库和东亚现代表土孢粉数据库。本文通过统计分析、筛选、整合了北美、欧洲、中国共9157个现代孢粉数据进行分析,利用全球陆地表面高精度0.5°×0.5°网格气候数据,通过采用数据转换及非线性的数学方法,建立了更可靠的北半球孢粉—气候数学模型。我们的研究发现:孢粉百分比和气候因子之间存在对数变换的关系,因此首先用对数转换进行数据变换;然后利用MATLAb非线性的数学工具,进行模拟。模拟的结果采用留一交叉验证法（从所有数据中依次挑出一个数据作为验证数据）进行验证。我们对新方法得到的14个气候参数以及海拔高度的模拟结果和现代比对分析（modern analogue technique）结果相比较,研究结果显示:利用新的数学方法预测的气候拟合度（R2）更好,绝对误差（MAE）更小。结果表明:新的数学方法提高了孢粉预测气候模型的可靠性。同时我们的研究结果表明,新的数学模型还可以推广应用到古气候、古环境重建的其他研究领域。
