BACKGROUnD The association between the intestinal microbiota and psychiatric disorders is becoming increasingly *** gut microbiota contributes to colorectal carcinogenesis(CRC),as demonstrated with colibactin-producing Escherichia coli(CoPEC).AIM To evaluate the association between CoPEC prevalence and anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors with both preclinical and clinical *** Patients followed after a CRC surgery and for whom the prevalence of CoPEC has been investigated underwent a psychiatric *** were compared according to the CoPEC *** parallel C57BL6/j wild type mice and mice with a CRC susceptibility were chronically infected with a CoPEC *** behavior was assessed using the Elevated Plus Maze test,the Forced Swimming Test and the Behavior recognition system PhenoTyper®.RESULTS In a limited cohort,all patients with CoPEC colonization presented with psychiatric disorders several years before cancer diagnosis,whereas only one patient(17%)without CoPEC *** result was confirmed in C57BL6/j wildtype mice and in a CRC susceptibility mouse model(adenomatous polyposis colimultiple intestinal neoplasia/+).Mice exhibited a significant increase in anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors after chronic infection with a CoPEC *** This finding provides the first evidence that CoPEC infection can induce microbiota-gut-brain axis disturbances in addition to its procarcinogenic properties.

Modeling the Kinetics of Moisture Desorption from Safou Pulp [Dacryodes edulis (G. Don) ***] before the Oil Extraction Step

The aim of this work is to model the drying kinetics of Safou pulp with or without endocarp using a phenomenological approach. Oven-drying kinetics at 70˚C, 90˚C and 105˚C were monitored using the curves given by the reduced mass as a function of time, which are modeled according to the Avrami/page, Fick and Peleg models using OringinPro 2018 software. The results showed that parameters k and n of the Avrami/Page model vary very little with fruit size and drying temperature (0.0018 ± 0.0002 k n k (Avrami model/page) were virtually identical, while b (Fick model) and n (Avrami model/page) were virtually identical for the same sample. For the Peleg model, the parameter a, varies from 0.0018 ± 0.0002 to 0.03328 ± 0.0079, with a ratio of 18.6 for all experimental conditions studied. However, with 0.977 R2 χ2 ntal data. The same applies to parameter b, which ranges from 0.82 ± 0.05 to 1.21 ± 0.02. Thus, drying modeling by these three models can be used to describe and predict the progress of oven-drying of safou pulp.

Does gastric atrophy exist in children?

Several clinical reports confirmed that gastric atrophy is a pathology not only limited to adult patients. In pediatrics, it is most olden described in association with a H pylori infection but this bacteria does not seem to be the only etiological factor of this preneoplastic state in children. The frequency of gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia in children are unknown because they are not systematically sought during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The lack of specific histological classification of children＇s gastropathies makes their diagnosis difficult for pathologists. Based on our knowledge to date, we think that it is necessary to describe, in detail, the natural course of this lesion during childhood. A close and prolonged clinical and endoscopic follow-up is important for children with gastric atrophy.

In order to describe a solid which deforms smoothly in some region, but non smoothly in some other region, many multiscale methods have been recently proposed that aim at coupling an atomistic model （discrete mechanics） with a macroscopic model （continuum mechanics）. We provide here a theoretical basis for such a coupling in a one-dimensional setting, in the case of convex energy.

Leaf economics spectrum(LES)describes the fundamental trade-offs between leaf structural,chemical,and physiological ***,structurally robust thick leaves with high leaf dry mass per unit area(LMA)exhibit lower photosynthetic capacity per dry mass(Amass).Paradoxically,“soft and thinleaved”mosses and spikemosses have very low Amass,but due to minute-size foliage elements,their LMA and its components,leaf thickness(LT)and density(LD),have not been systematically ***,we characterized LES and associated traits in cryptogams in unprecedented details,covering five evolutionarily different *** found that mosses and spikemosses had the lowest LMA and LT values ever measured for terrestrial *** a broad range of species from different lineages,Amass and LD were negatively *** contrast,Amass was only related to LMA when LMA was greater than 14 g cm^(-2).In fact,low Amass reflected high LD and cell wall thickness in the studied *** conclude that evolutionarily old plant lineages attained poorly differentiated,ultrathin mesophyll by increasing *** plant lineages,LD,not LMA,is the trait that represents the trade-off between leaf robustness and physiology in the LES.

Introduction:Pazopanib is an oral protein kinase inhibitor(PKI)that targets vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)receptors,fibroblastic growth factor receptors,platelet-derived growth factor receptors,and stem cell factor that inhibits VEGF-induced cellular *** is approved for use in advanced renal cell carcinoma and subtypes of advanced soft-tissue sarcoma(Deguchi et al.,2018).Major adverse drug reactions of pazopanib include hypertension,high-grade hyponatremia and posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome(PRES)(Berardi et al.,2016;Deguchi et al.,2018).In clinical trials,few investigations have been conducted to determine the aetiology of PKI-associated hyponatremia,the mechanism remains therefore *** rare cases of PKI-induced syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone(SIADH)(Largeau et al.,2019),and none with pazopanib,have been *** is a clinical and radiological entity where a bilateral white matter oedema,occurring predominantly in the posterior occipital and parietal lobes,is associated with several neurologic ***,a recent review suggests that SIADH could be a symptom of PRES(Largeau et al.,2019).To our knowledge,this is the first case published where pazopanib-induced PRES occurs contemporaneously with possible SIADH.
