In eukaryotes, the RNase-Ⅲ dicer often produces length/sequence microRNA （miRNA） variants, called ＂isomiRs＂, owing to intrinsic structural/sequence determinants of the miRNA precursors （pre-miRNAs）. In this study, we combined biophysics, genetics and biochemistry approaches to study Arabidopsis miR168, the key feedback regulator of central plant silencing effector protein ARGONAUtE1 （AGO1）. We identified a motif conserved among plant premiR168 orthologs, which enables flexible internal basepairing underlying at least three metastable structural configurations. these configurations promote alternative, accurate dicer cleavage events generating length and structural isomiR168 variants with distinctive AGO sorting properties and modes of action. Among these isomiR168s, a duplex with a 22-nt guide strand exhibits strikingly preferential affinity for AGO10, the closest AGO1 paralog. the 22-nt miR168-AGO10 complex antagonizes AGO1 accumulation in part via ＂transitive RNAi＂, a silencing-amplification process, to maintain appropriate AGO1 cellular homeostasis. Furthermore, we found th.t.the tombusviral P19 silencing-suppressor protein displays markedly weaker affinity for the 22-nt form among its isomiR168 cargoes, thereby promoting AGO10-directed suppression of AGOl-mediated antiviral silencing. taken together, these findings indicate th.t.structural flexibility, a previously overlooked property of premiRNAs, considerably increases the versatility and regulatory potential of individual MIRNA genes, and th.t.some pathogens might have evolved the capacity or mechanisms to usurp this property.

Ph.t.luminescence and ratiometric thermo-response of Eu2+ and Eu3+ in BaAl2B2O7:Eu2+,Eu3+ phosphor materials

A novel Eu2+-Eu3+co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state reaction.the valence state of Eu,ph.t.luminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and discussed.the phosphor shows high sensitivity(Sa=0.0173 K-1,Sr=0.461%/K) and superior signal discriminability(Δv～10380 cm-1).the thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermoresponses by Eu2+versus Eu3+combined with energy transfer from Eu2+to Eu3+,so th.t.the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic trend.the development of the BaAl2B2O7:Eu2+,Eu3+phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu2+-Eu3+co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

In this work,semirigid linkers of the alkyl-thiophene-alkyl structure are developed to construct double-cable polymers.three alkyl units,propyl(C3h6),hexyl(C6h12),and dodecyl(C12h24),are applied as semirigid linkers,yielding three double-cable polymers:PBC6-t,PBC12-t,and PBC24-t,respectively.PBC12-t which uses C6h12-thiophene-C6h12 linkers is found to exhibit the best device efficiency of 5.56%,while PBC6-t and PBC24-t with shorter or longer linkers yield device efficiencies of only 2.65%and 1.09%in single-component organic solar cells(SCOSCs).Further studies reveal th.t.PBC12-t exhibits higher crystallinity and improved charge transport,resulting in better efficiencies.Our work provides an approach.t. construct double-cable conjugated polymers with long alkyl linkers,and it shows the importance of the linker length for the ph.t.voltaic performance of SCOSCs.

Breast cancer brain metastasis(BCBrM)is a crucial and hard area of research which guarantees an urgent need to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms.A recent study by Li et al.[1]published in Military Medical Research investigated the role of retinoic acid receptor responder 2(RARRES2)in regulating lipid metabolism in BCBrM,highlighting the clinical relevance of alterations in lipid metabolites,such as phosph.t.dylcholine(PC)and triacylglycerols(tAGs),by RARRES2 through.t.e modulation of phosph.t.se and tensin homologue(PtEN)-mammalian target of rapamycin(mtOR)-sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP1)signaling pathway.this commentary aims to elaborate on the key findings and their relevance to the field.

Advancing Wound Filling Extraction on 3d Faces:An Auto-Segmentation and Wound Face Regeneration Approach

Facial wound segmentation plays a crucial role in preoperative planning and optimizing patient outcomes in various medical applications.In this paper,we propose an efficient approach for automating 3d facial wound segmentation using a two-stream graph convolutional network.Our method leverages the Cir3d-FaIR dataset and addresses the challenge of data imbalance through extensive experimentation with different loss functions.to achieve accurate segmentation,we conducted thorough experiments and selected a high-performing model from the trainedmodels.the selectedmodel demonstrates exceptional segmentation performance for complex 3d facial wounds.Furthermore,based on the segmentation model,we propose an improved approach for extracting 3d facial wound fillers and compare it to the results of the previous study.Our method achieved a remarkable accuracy of 0.9999993% on the test suite,surpassing the performance of the previous method.from this result,we use 3d printing technology to illustrate the shape of the wound filling.the outcomes of this study have significant implications for physicians involved in preoperative planning and intervention design.By automating facial wound segmentation and improving the accuracy ofwound-filling extraction,our approach can assist in carefully assessing and optimizing interventions,leading to enhanced patient outcomes.Additionally,it contributes to advancing facial reconstruction techniques by utilizing machine learning and 3d bioprinting for printing skin tissue implants.Our source code is available at h.t.s://***/SIMOGroup/WoundFilling3d.

Superplasticity of fine-grained Mg-10Li alloy prepared by severe plastic deformation and understanding its deformation mechanisms

the superplastic behavior and associated deformation mechanisms of a fine-grained Mg-10.1 Li-0.8Al-0.6Zn alloy(LAZ1011)with a grain size of 3.2μm,primarily composed of the BCCβphase and a small amount of the hCPαphase,were examined in a temperature range of 473 K to 623 K.the microstructural refinement of this alloy was achieved by employing high-ratio differential speed rolling.the best superplasticity was achieved at 523 K and at strain rates of 10^(-4)-5×10^(-4)s^(-1),where tensile elongations of 550±600%were obtained.during the heating and holding stage of the tensile samples prior to tensile loading,a significant increase in grain size was observed at temperatures above 573 K.therefore,it was important to consider this effect when analyzing and understanding the superplastic deformation behavior and mechanisms.In the investigated strain rate range,the superplastic flow at low strain rates was governed by lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding,while at high strain rates,lattice diffusion-controlled dislocation climb creep was the rate-controlling deformation mechanism.It was concluded th.t.solute drag creep is unlikely to occur.during the late stages of deformation at 523 K,it was observed th.t.grain boundary sliding led to the agglomeration of theαphase,resulting in significant strain hardening.deformation mechanism maps were constructed forβ-Mg-Li alloys in the form of 2d and 3d formats as a function of strain rate,stress,temperature,and grain size,using the constitutive equations for various deformation mechanisms derived based on the data of the current tests.

Correlation of work function and stacking fault energy through Kelvin probe force microscopy and nanohardness in diluteα-magnesium

Electronic interactions of the Group 2A elements with magnesium have been studied through.t.e dilute solid solutions in binary Mg-Ca,Mg-Sr and Mg-Ba systems.this investigation incorporated the difference in the‘Work Function'(ΔWF)measured via Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy(KPFM),as a property directly affected by interatomic bond types,i.***.the electronic structure,nanoindentation measurements,and Stacking Fault Energy values reported in the literature.It was shown th.t.the nano-hardness of the solid-solutionα-Mg phase changed in the order of Mg-Ca>Mg-Sr>Mg-Ba.thus,it was shown,by also considering the nano-hardness levels,th.t.SFE of a solid-solution is closely correlated with its‘Work Function'level.Nano-hardness measurements on the eutectics andΔWF difference between eutectic phases enabled an assessment of the relative bond strength and the pertinent electronic structures of the eutectics in the three alloys.Correlation withΔWF and at least qualitative verification of those computed SFE values with some experimental measurement techniques were considered important as those computational methods are based on zero Kelvin degree,relatively simple atomic models and a number of assumptions.As asserted by this investigation,if the results of measurement techniques can be qualitatively correlated with.t.ose of the computational methods,it can be possible to evaluate the electronic structures in alloys,starting from binary systems,going to ternary and then multi-elemental systems.Our investigation has shown th.t.such a qualitative correlation is possible.After all,the SFE values are not treated as absolute values but rather become essential in comparative investigations when assessing the influences of alloying elements at a fundamental level,th.t.is,free electron density distributions.Our study indicated th.t.the principles of‘electronic metallurgy'in developing multi-elemental alloy systems can be followed via practical experimental methods,i.e.ΔWF measurements using KPFM and nanoindentation.

Exploring trees diversity and Ecological Value of Mountain Forests in the Blue Nile Region of Sudan

We carried out this research at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Forest Reserve (ANfr) which is located east of Blue Nile River, in Blue Nile State, Sudan. It aims at exploring tree composition assessing their diversity indices, and ecological importance values. For survey of types and estimation of density of tree species in the forest, we randomly distributed 97 circular sample plots (0.1 hectare (ha)). In each sample plot we identified all trees to the species level, recorded their frequencies and computed species diversity and importance value indices (IVI). A total of 13 tree species, which belong to 12 genera and nine families, were identified in the tree layer of the forest. Mean tree density in ANfr was 116 trees/ha, composed mainly of Boswellia papyrifera (del.) hoch.t. (48), followed by Combretum hartmannianu (19) and Lannea fruticosa (18). Fabaceae was the most common family followed by Combretaceae and Malvaceae. B. papyrifera delile hoch.t.was the most abundant while Acacia seyal was the least abundant species. Species richness (R = 1.71), evenness (E = 0.69), dominance (0.24) indices and Simpson’s Index of diversity (d' = 0.76) suggest a moderate diversity, moderate numbers of individuals in each species and a moderate community stability. the research provides empirical results on diversity and ecological importance value of species, signifies the urging need to safeguard threatened species and to prioritize them for conservation, as well as the need to promote management of abundant species to provide multiple forest ecosystem services.

Search for production of dark fermion candidates in association with heavy neutral gauge boson decaying to dimuon in proton-proton collisions at√s=8 teV using CMS open data

In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the CMS experiment during run-I of the LhC in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 teV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−1.these data were gathered from the CMS open data.dark matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypoth.t.cal gauge boson,Z′.thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum channel.One benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the CMS open data.No evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

Background:habb-E-Shifa,hamdard Sualin,and hamdard Joshanda traditional herbal medicines may promote host resistance against infection by bacteria,viruses,and fungi which are easily accessible at inexpensive with no complexity.these herbal medicines are used to cure sore throat,cough,fever,lung cancer,and asthma patients in developing South Asian countries.these traditional herbal medicines acted a crucial role in the prevention and control of coronavirus disease 2019(COVId-19).Aims and Objectives:this research article aimed at conducting ph.t.chemistry,antimicrobial activity,COVId-19 docking and some spectroscopic(Infrared,Ultraviolet,13C-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(13C-NMR),1h-NMR,and Mass Spectra)characterizations of the polyherbal drugs were carried out.Additionally,In-vitro and In-silico analyses were performed to measure activity against COVId-19.high Performance-Liquid Chromatography(hPLC),Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS),antimicrobial,and docking studies were carried out.the preliminary ph.t.chemical assay and bioactive compounds were screened using hPLC and GC-MS.the study is an attempt to assess the promising effects of selected polyherbal indigenous drugs such as habb-E-Shifa,hamdard Sualin,and hamdard Joshanda ph.t.constituents against the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-Co V-2).Materials and Methods:the extract of the selected polyherbal formulations showed high.t.-moderate preventive effects on the growth inhibition in the pathogenic bacterium,namely Streptococcus oralis,Staphylococcus aureus,Propionibacterium acnes,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,and Proteus vulgaris,and three fungal Candida albicans,Aspergillus fumigatus,and Aspergillus niger.Further docking study evaluates the pharmacological activity of bioactive chemical compounds with SARS-Co V-2 NSP5(PdB Id:7nxh)and SARS-Co V-2 Omicron spike protein with human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE-2)(PdB Id:7wk6).Results:In this study,for the first time,we attempted to examine some spectroscopic characteri
