The study reco.mended that the 32 items identified by the study sho.ld be utilized by extensio. agent in teaching the farmers the use o. senso. techno.o.y fo. precisio. cro. pro.uctio. while the farmers sho.ld make themselves available fo. the training.

The study was carried o.t to.identify co.tent areas o. climate change fo. integratio. into.the senio. seco.dary scho.l agricultural science curriculum in co.ntries such as Nigeria. Two.research questio.s were develo.ed and answered by the study while two.null hypo.heses were fo.mulated and tested. Descriptive survey research design was ado.ted fo. the study. The po.ulatio. fo. the study was 441 while the sample was 249. A 34-item structured questio.naire was develo.ed fo. data co.lectio.. The questio.naire items were face-validated by five experts while Cro.bach alpha metho. was used to.determine the internal co.sistency o. the items. The co.ies o. the questio.naire were administered to.the respo.dents with the help o. two.research assistants. Weighted mean was used to.answer the research questio.s while t-test statistic was used to.test the null hypo.heses at 0.05 level o. significance and 240 degrees o. freedo.. The findings o. the study revealed that fo.r clusters with 23 items were required fo. integratio. in the curriculum while 11 materials were identified to.help teach the co.tent areas. It was also.fo.nd that there was no.significant (p > 0.05) difference in the mean respo.ses o. Lecturers and extensio. agents o. each item in the co.tent areas o. climate change and materials fo. teaching them. The study reco.mended amo.g o.hers that the clusters and 23 items with the materials identified by the study sho.ld be integrated into.the agricultural science curriculum fo. teaching in seco.dary scho.ls, especially in Nigeria.

The study specifically evaluated the perceived resultant situatio.s attributed to.climate change to.determine the extent o. impacts o. climate change o. the farmer and the farming families and also.explo.ed ado.table strategies fo. co.ing with the situatio.s. The study ado.ted descriptive survey research design. Two.research questio.s and two.hypo.heses guided the study. The po.ulatio. fo. the study was 246,909 respo.dents made up o. farmers and extensio. wo.kers who.are registered with the State Ministries o. Agriculture. o.t o. the nine Niger Delta states, Bayelsa and Delta states were rando.ly cho.en fo. the study. Pro.o.tio.ate stratified rando. sampling technique was used to.select a sample size o. 5,038 respo.dents. Structured questio.naire and interview were used to.co.lect data. The instruments were validated by three experts. Cro.bach Alpha metho. was used to.determine the internal co.sistency o. the questio.naire items which yielded a co.fficient o. 0.81. The Statistical Pro.uct and Service So.utio.s (SPSS v 20.0) was emplo.ed fo. data analysis. The statistical to.ls used fo. data analysis were weighted mean to.answer research questio.s and standard deviatio. to.validate the clo.eness o. the respo.dents fro. the mean and fro. each o.her in their respo.ses while t-test was used to.test the null hypo.heses. The findings o. the study revealed that the extent o. impacts o. climate change o. farmers and the farming families in Niger Delta regio. o. Nigeria are mo.erate. Findings further revealed that climate change has led to.increased po.erty level and raised co.t o. pro.uctio. (input and labo.r co.t) as indicated by the farmers. The study reco.mends that farmers in the regio. sho.ld be enco.raged by pro.iding incentives and subsidizing inputs fo. them by Federal and State go.ernments as well as o.her no.-go.ernmental o.ganizatio.s, as th
