FK506(tacrolimus)is a systemic immunosuppressant approved by the *** and Drug ***506 has been shown to promote peripheral nerve regeneration,however,its precise mechanism of action and its pathways remain *** this study,we established a rat model of sciatic nerve injury and found that FK506 improved the morphology of the injured sciatic nerve,increased the numbers of motor and sensory neurons,reduced inflammatory responses,markedly improved the conduction function of the injured nerve,and promoted motor function *** findings suggest that FK506 promotes peripheral nerve structure recovery and functional regeneration by reducing the intensity of inflammation after neuronal injury and increasing the number of surviving neurons.

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy B, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments（LCAs）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically（USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 kg CO2eq.）. This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.

Lipids are indispensable components of living organisms and play pivotal roles in cell-membrane fluidity, energy provision, and neurotransmitter transmission and transport. Lipids can act as potential biomarkers of diseases given their abilities to indicate cell-growth status. For example, the lipid-metabolism processes of cancer cells are distinct from those of normal cells owing to their rapid proliferation and adaptation to ever-changing biological environments. As a result, the ability to rapidly detect, identify, and monitor lipid components is critical for tracking life-related processes and may enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment efficacy. Mass spectrometry (MS) is regarded to be among the most efficient methods for directly obtaining molecular-structural information, and is distinctly advantageous for identifying lipids. Recent years have witnessed the emergence of ambient mass spectrometry (AMS), which enables direct analyte sampling and ionization without the need for sample preprocessing. These characteristics endow AMS with special advantages for identifying and monitoring lipids. Furthermore, the ongoing development of soft ionization technologies has led to the widespread use of AMS for the detection of complex and diverse lipid molecules. Electrospray ionization (ESI) is a gentle ionization method that can be used to detect medium-to-high-polarity compounds and provide detailed chemical information for lipids by producing a fine mist of charged droplets from a liquid sample. Consequently, a series of ESI-based ionization methods have been developed for fabricating different AMS systems capable of rapidly detecting lipids in a simple manner. For example, desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) is among the most extensively employed ambient ionization techniques, and has been used to detect a wide range of samples, including solids, liquids, and gases. Phase-field simulation serves as an effective tool for quantitative characterization of microstructure evolution in single-crystal Ni-based superalloys during solidification nowadays. The classic unit cell is either limited to γdendrites along crystal orientation or too ideal to cover complex morphologies for γ dendrites. An attempt to design the unit cell for two-dimensional(2-D) phase-field simulations of microstructure evolution in single-crystal Ni-based superalloys during solidification was thus performed by using the MICRESS(MICRostructure Evolution Simulation Software) in the framework of the multi-phase-field(MPF) model,and demonstrated in a commercial TMS-113 superalloy. The coupling to CALPHAD(CALculation of PHAse Diagram) thermodynamic database was realized via the TQ interface and the experimental diffusion coefficients were utilized in the simulation. Firstly, the classic unit cell with a single γ dendrite along crystal orientation was employed for the phase-field simulation in order to reproduce the microstructure ***, such simple unit cell was extended into the cases with two other different crystal orientations, i.e., and . Thirdly, for crystal orientations, the effect of γ dendritic orientations and unit cell sizes on microstructure and microsegregation was comprehensively studied, from which a new unit cell with multiple γdendrites was proposed. The phase-field simulation with the newly proposed unit cell was further performed in the TMS-113 superalloy, and the microstructure features including the competitive growth of γ dendrites,microsegregation of different solutes and distribution of γ′ grains, can be nicely reproduced.

Design of Floating Mass Type Piezoelectric Actuator for Implantable Middle Ear Hearing Devices

To overcome some of the problems inherent in conventional heating aids such as low gain at high fi＇equencies due to acoustic feedback, discomfort in occlusion of the extemal ear canal and so on, implantable middle ear hearing devices （IMEHDs） have been developed over the past two decades. For such kinds of IMEHDs, this paper presents the design of a floating mass piezoelectric actuator using a PMN-30%PT stack as a new type of vibrator. The proposed piezoelectric actuator consists of only three components of a piezoelectric stack, a metal case and a clamp. For the purpose of aiding the design of this actuator, a coupling biomechanics model of human middle ear and the piezoelectric actuator was constructed. This model was built based on a complete set of computerized tomography section images of a healthy volunteer＇s left ear by reverse engineering technology. The validity of this model was confirmed by comparing the motion of the tympanic membrane and stapes footplate obtained by this model with published experimental measurements on human temporal bones. It is shown that the designed actuator can be implanted on the incus long process by a simple surgical operation, and the stapes footplate displacement by its excitation at 10.5 V root-mean-square（RMS） voltage was equivalent to that from acoustic stimulation at 100 dB sound pressure level（SPL）, which is adequate stimulation to the ossicular chain. The corresponding power consumption is 0.04 mW per volt of excitation at 1 kHz, which is low enough for the transducer to be used in an implantable middle ear device.

Propulsion systems powered by double-cylinder turbines(DCT)are widely used in large-scale ***,the nonlinear instability leads to hidden dangers associated with the safe operation,and there is a lack of theoretical and systematic research on this *** on the gear transmission principle and non-Newtonian thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL)theory,a torsional model of a two-stage herringbone system forced by unsymmetrical load is *** nonlinear and time-varying factors of meshing friction,meshing stiffness,and gear pair backlash are included in the model,and multiple meshing states,including single-and double-sided impact are *** nonlinear phenomena of the dynamic system are explored and the effects of the unsymmetrical load on the system stability are *** results indicate that the stability of the gear system is improved,and that the back-sided impact gradually disappears with the increases of load ratio between the two inputs and the input load ***,it is found that the gear pairs on the low-load side experience more severe vibration than those on the high-load ***,the stability of the gear pairs decreases along the power transmission path of the multistage gear *** results of this research will be useful when making predictions of the stability of such systems and in the optimization of the load parameters.

Hexagonal β-Co(OH)2 nanosheets with edge length of 50 nm and thickness of 10 nm were hydrothermally synthesized with the aid of *** calcination at 350°C in air,the β-Co(OH)2 nanosheets was converted into Co3O4 nanosheets with a similar *** analyses during the calcination process identified that the β-Co(OH)2 precursor was initially dehydrated to HCoO2 and subsequently transferred into *** being applied to catalyze CO oxidation at room temperature,the Co3O4 nanosheets exhibited a higher activity than the conventional spherical *** was perhaps related to the partial exposure of the{112}planes over the Co3O4 *** porous structure generated during the calcination process also provided significant amounts of surface defects,which might contribute to the enhanced catalytic activity as well.
