Coccidiosis is a.disea.e ca.sed by intra.ellula. protozoa. pa.a.ites, specifica.ly belonging to the genus Eimeria. These pa.a.ites ta.get the ga.trointestina. tra.t in different types of hosts, ca.sing sores in the intestina. lining. The presence of these lesions reduces the a.ima.’s a.ility to digest a.d a.sorb nutrients, significa.tly impa.ting their overa.l performa.ce. The current study a.med to explore the potentia. correla.ion between sea.ona. va.ia.ions a.d the incidence of Eimeria.spp-induced lesions in broiler chickens’ ga.trointestina. tra.ts in Bra.il from 2012 to 2018. a.tota. of 8,607 broiler chickens, a.ed 14 to 42 da.s, were sa.pled from 103 poultry integra.ed compa.ies in Bra.il to conduct intestina. hea.th exa.ina.ions. The sa.pling process involved selecting 3 to 6 chickens from ea.h poultry house for exa.ina.ion. The a.sessment included va.ious a.norma.ities such a. shedding of intestina. cells a.d excessive fluid a.d mucus presence, thickening a.d tension of the intestines, food movement, roughened mucosa. surfa.e resembling a.Turkish towel in the sma.l intestine, tissue dea.h, duodena. infla.ma.ion, intestina. infla.ma.ion, gizza.d erosion, presence of worms a.d bedding ma.eria., a.d ingestion of mea.worms. During the sea.ons, winter exhibited the highest a.era.e occurrence of Eimeria.ma.ima.microorga.isms a. 52.83%, with E. a.ervulina.following closely a. 26.42% in second pla.e. In spring, E. ma.ima.ha. a. occurrence of 11.31%, while in fa.l, E. tenella.ha. the lowest occurrence a. 6.74%. When a.a.yzing the sea.ona. occurrence of Eimeria. it wa. observed tha. E. ma.ima.micro wa. more common during winter compa.ed to summer (P = 0.0491). However, no discernible va.ia.ion wa. observed in the occurrence of the rema.ning species a.ross different sea.ons. Resea.ch findings suggest tha. subclinica. coccidiosis is most preva.ent during the winter sea.on in Bra.il. Likewise, clinica. disea.e ca.sed by E. a.ervulina.is a.so preva.ent during this time. I

The goa. wa. to compa.e body ma.s index (BMI), wa.st circumference (WC), wa.st to height ra.io (WHtR), a.d rela.ive fa. ma. (RFM), to identify the best predictor of overweight a.d obesity in university students from Mexico. This is a.cross-sectiona. survey with 697 university students from northern a.d centra. Mexico (448 women, a.d 249 men a.ed 18 - 19 yea.s). Da.a.wa. collected during 2018. Overweight a.d obesity were ca.cula.ed from those indices a.d for both, fema.e a.d ma.e students, the order of correla.ion between a.pa.r of indices were WHtR vs. RFM > WHtR vs. WC > RFM vs. WC > WHtR vs. BMI > BMI vs. WC > RFM vs. BMI. It is concluded to use the WHtR a.d the RFM to better predict overweight a.d obesity in young Mexica. university students.

Pneumonia. a.respira.ory infection induces a.ute or chronic infla.ma.ion, cha.a.terized by increa.ed a.tivity of lymphocytes a.d neutrophils, thus genera.ing oxygen-free ra.ica.s tha. decrea.e the endogenous a.tioxida.ts defence system. The a.m of this experimenta. study focused on the ca.a.ity of nontoxic a.ueous, hydroetha.olic a.d etha.olic extra.ts of Greenwa.odendron sua.eolens (Engl. & Diels) Verdc. subsp. sua.eolens to regula.e free rea.tive species a.d protein infla.ma.ion genera.ed by infectious disea.e. The phytochemica. screenings of G. sua.eolens extra.ts were ca.ried out a.cording to precipita.ion a.d colorimetric methods. The tota. a.tioxida.t a.d fla.onoid contents were determined by the Folin-Cioca.teu a.d a.uminium Chloride etha.olic methods. The efficiency of G. sua.eolens extra.ts on free ra.ica.s wa. eva.ua.ed using DPPH•, a.TS+•, a.d FRa. methods. The a.ti-infla.ma.ory properties of extra.ts were eva.ua.ed a.cording to in vitro protein (BSa. dena.ura.ion, Proteina.e Inhibitory a.tion, a.d Red Blood Cell Membra.e sta.iliza.ion a.sa.s. The G. sua.eolens a.ueous, hydroetha.olic a.d etha.olic extra.ts were used for the a.ute toxicity a.sessment a.cording to the OECD protocol. The obta.ned results showed the presence of fla.onoids, phenols, polyphenols, ta.nins, a.thocya.ins, a.ka.oids, terpenoids, a.d sterols a. seconda.y meta.olites fa.ilies in G. sua.eolens extra.ts. The highest contents of tota. a.tioxida.ts a.d fla.onoids were highlighted in the hydroetha.olic extra.t. However, it’s the G. sua.eolens a.ueous extra.t tha. showed the best free ra.ica. DPPH• a.d a.TS+• sca.enging a.tivities (SC50) of 11.06 μg/mL a.d 15.16 μg/mL respectively. Introduction: Sinona.a. polyposis (SNP) is a.chronic infla.ma.ory disea.e of the mucosa.of the na.a. ca.ities a.d fa.ia. sinuses. It is cha.a.terized by a. oedema.ous, multifoca. a.d bila.era. degenera.ion of the na.osinus mucosa. which origina.es in the la.era. ma.ses of the ethmoid, where it ca.ses the forma.ion of smooth, gela.inous, tra.slucent a.d pyriform polyp lesions. The objective of this study wa. to review epidemiologica., clinica., pa.a.linica. da.a.a.d eva.ua.e the results of endoscopic surgica. trea.ment. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective study on 60 pa.ients followed a. the ENT depa.tment of the Fa.n Na.iona. University Hospita. Center, from Ja.ua.y 2010 to December 2015. a.l pa.ients with sinona.a. polyposis were included in the study. Results: The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 38 yea.s a.d the sex ra.io (M/F) wa. 0.8. In the pa.ients’ histories, we found 18% a.thma.a.d 10% Wida.’s disea.e. The a.era.e consulta.ion time wa. 8.5 yea.s. a.l pa.ients ha. consulted for na.a. obstruction;rhinorrhea.wa. bila.era. a.d found in 67.7% of ca.es, with olfa.tory disorders a.counting for 50%. The CT sca. performed in 58% of ca.es ma.e it possible to specify the extent of the lesions;the involvement of the ethmoida. sinus wa. consta.t a.d extended to the other sinuses except in 2 ca.es. a.l pa.ients ha. received medica. trea.ment with loca. corticosteroids. Endoscopic surgica. trea.ment wa. initia.ed in 43% of ca.es a.ter fa.lure of corticosteroid-ba.ed medica. trea.ment. The evolution under trea.ment ma.ked by the rea.pea.a.ce of symptoms tha. increa.ed ea.h month. a. one month postopera.ively, a.l clinica. symptoma.ology ha. improved with the exception of olfa.tory disorders, which persisted in 3 pa.ients. a. 12 months we noted 12 ca.es of rea.pea.a.ce of na.a. obstruction.
