Eye tracking can facilitate understanding irrational decision-making in contexts such as financial *** this purpose,we develop an experimental framework in which participants trade a risky asset in a simulated bubble market to maximize individual returns while their eye movements are *** are sensitive to eye movement dynamics,depending on the presented visual *** eye-tracking data,we investigated the effects of arousal,attention,and disengagement on individual payoffs using linear and nonlinear *** estimating a nonlinear model using attention as a threshold variable,our results suggest that arousal positively influences trading returns,but its effect becomes smaller when attention exceeds a certain threshold,whereas disengagement has a higher negative impact on reduced attention levels and becomes almost irrelevant when attention ***,we provide a neurobehavioral metric as a function of attention that predicts financial gains in boomand-bust *** study serves as a proof-of-concept for developing future psychometric measures to enhance decision-making.

The aim of the article is to analyze the challenges of developing business in Poland in old and new EU policy fields For the last two decades, Polish policy of business operations has been implemented at a national level largely on the basis of the aims pursued by the European Union, which influence the modernization of the state in regards to economic progress, infrastructure development and technological advancement. Such provisions were included, for instance, in the new and last cohesion policy prospect for the period of 2014-2020. One of the goals of this article is to present a model of functioning and development of business in Poland, taking into account the strategies of the European Union in the period 2014-2020. In this article I made attempts to answer the following questions： What is the level of impact exerted upon Polish business by new policies introduced by the EU？ Is the introduction of new EU policies significant for the development of business in Poland？ Or does it cause its partial destruction that impedes the development of companies, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises, which significantly contribute to the increase and development of GDP in Poland and in most member states of the EU？ Is the functioning of business in Poland dependent on new EU policies and new legal regulations introduced by decision-makers at the national level？

The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of interest groups on the Europe 2020 Strategy. One of the basic assumptions of the author is to present its analysis of the public consultation on the Europe 2020 strategy and its impact on the development of the European Union. The European Union needs to stimulate the economic integration of its particular Member States and the assumed postulates will strengthen its global position. The goal is to create a strong economy, based on modem technologies and knowledge, which would be able to compete with the healthiest economies in the world. The main intention of the author of this article is to find answers to the foUowing research questions： Did the interest groups have or do they still have any considerable influence on the strategies implemented in the European Union？ To what extent do they contribute to the process of reforming the Europe 2020 strategy through consultations within the framework of the European Union？ Are their lobbying activities efficient enough to allow for the perception of interest groups as significant players, capable of influencing the course of consultations on the Europe 2020 strategy？ What kind of external factors make it possible for the interest groups to influence the consultations？ To what extent are business groups capable of influencing particular institutions in the course of consultations on the Europe 2020 strategy？ What does their activation in relation to these institutions depend on？

Powder metallurgy is a powerful method for the preparation of materials with superior *** work aimed to investigate the effect of powder size on the microstructure,mechanical,and corrosion properties of advanced WE43(Mg-4Y-3REE-Zr)alloy prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS).At the same time,the effect of HF pre-treatment of the powder on the properties of final compacted products is *** powder particles yielded microstructure with more interfaces formed by Y_(2)O_(3),or MgF_(2) and YF_(3).These interfaces work as barriers against corrosion,which greatly improves corrosion *** suggested pre-treatment of powder in HF further reduced the corrosion rate of the compacted *** the contrary,fragile interfaces of YF_(3) decreased mechanical properties as the crack primarily propagates through these *** original powder containing the mixture of all powder fractions exerted the best combination of mechanical *** size has also shown to affect ignition *** highest ignition temperature was measured for the finest powder fraction.

AIM: To study all the aspects of drain management in pancreatic ***: We conducted a systematic review according to the PRISMA guidelines. We searched the Cochrane Central Registry of Controlled Trials,EMBASE,Web of Science,and Pub Med(MEDLINE) for relevant articles on drain management in pancreatic surgery. The reference lists of relevant studies were screened to retrieve any further studies. We included all articles that reported clinical studies on human subjects with elective pancreatic resection and that compared various strategies of intra-abdominal drain management,such as drain vs no drain,selective drain use,early vs late drain extraction,and the use of different types of drains. RESULTS: A total of 19 studies concerned with drain management in pancreatic surgery involving 4194 patients were selected for this systematic review. We included studies analyzing the outcomes of pancreatic resection with and without intra-abdominal drains,studies comparing early vs late drain removal and studies analyzing different types of drains. The majority of the studies reporting equal or superior results for pancreatic resection without drains were retrospective and observational with significant selection bias. One recent randomized trial reported higher postoperative morbidity and mortality with routine omission of intraabdominal drains. With respect to the timing of drain removal,all of the included studies reported superior results with early drain removal. Regarding the varioustypes of drains,there is insufficient evidence to determine which type of drain is more suitable following pancreatic resection. CONCLUSION: The prophylactic use of drains remains controversial. When drains are used,early removal is recommended. Further trials comparing types of drains are ongoing.

BACKGROUND: Castleman disease is an uncommon lympho-proliferative disorder most frequently occurring in the mediastinum. Abdominal forms are less frequent, with pancreatic localization of the disease in particular being extremely rare. Only seventeen cases have been described in the world literature. METHOD: This report describes an interesting and unusual case of pancreatic Castleman disease treated with laparoscopic resection. RESULTS: A 48-year-old woman presented with epigastric pain. CT scan showed a well-encapsulated mass on the ventral border of the pancreas. Endosonography with fine needle aspiration biopsy was performed. Biopsy showed lymphoid elements and structures of a normal lymph node. The patient was treated with laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy. The pancreas was transected with a Ligasure device and the pancreatic stump was secured with a manual suture. One year after surgery the patient was complaint-free and showed no signs of recurrence of the disease. CONCLUSIONS: Laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy is a feasible and safe method for the treatment of lesions in the body and tail of the pancreas. Transection of the pancreas with a Ligasure device offers the advantages of low bleeding and low risk of pancreatic fistula.
