In this paper,we propose a new analytical modelling of the well-known fractional generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinky equation(FGKSE)using fractional operator with non-singular kernel and the homotopy anal-ysis transform method via J-transform ***,using fixed-point theorem,we prove the existence and uniqueness of our proposed solution to the fractional Kuramoto-Sivashinky *** further val-idate the efficiency of the suggested technique,we proved the convergence analysis of the method and provide the error *** obtained solutions of the FGKSE,describing turbulence processes in the field of ocean engineering are analytically and numerically compared to show the behaviors of many parameters of the present model.

The goals of this study are to assess the viability of waste tire-derived char(WTdC)as a sustainable,low-cost fine aggregate surrogate material for asphalt mixtures and to develop the statistically coupled neural network(SCNN)model for predicting volumetric and Marshall properties of asphalt mixtures modified with *** study is based on experimental data acquired from laboratory volumetric and Marshall properties testing on WTdCmodified asphalt mixtures(WTdC-MAM).The input variables comprised waste tire char content and asphalt binder *** output variables comprised mixture unit weight,total voids,voids filled with asphalt,Marshall stability,and *** coupled neural networks were utilized to predict the volumetric and Marshall properties of asphalt *** predictive modeling,the SCNN model is employed,incorporating a three-layer neural network and preprocessing techniques to enhance accuracy and *** optimal network architecture,using the collected dataset,was a 2:6:5 structure,and the neural network was trained with 60%of the data,whereas the other 20%was used for cross-validation and testing *** network employed a hyperbolic tangent(tanh)activation function and a feed-forward *** to the results,the network model could accurately predict the volumetric and Marshall *** predicted accuracy of SCNN was found to be as high value>98%and low prediction errors for both volumetric and Marshall *** study demonstrates WTdC's potential as a low-cost,sustainable aggregate *** SCNN-based predictive model proves its efficiency and versatility and promotes sustainable practices.

Clinical Versus doppler Based Assessment in determining Amputation Level in diabetic Foot Gangrene;A Prospective Cross-Sectional Study at Atbuth, Bauchi

Background: Amputation is defined as the surgical removal of a limb or part of a limb through the bone. If the amputation is done above or below the knee, they are termed major while minor amputations involve the partial removal of foot including forefoot resections, ray amputation of the digits or parts of the digits. Significant number of patients with diabetic foot ulcers end with amputations. In the past the amputation level was decided by clinical assessment alone, such as physical examination using color, temperature, peripheral pulses and wound bleeding during surgical procedure. The use of doppler ultrasound to measure arterial blood pressure at the proposed amputation site has been advocated as a predictor of amputation success. An optimal choice of the level of amputation can reduce amputation complications. Methodology: A Prospective comparative randomized cross-sectional study carried out between 1st January 2022 and 1st January 2024 in ATBUTH, Bauchi amongst patients with diabetic foot Wagener stage IV and V scheduled for amputation. Outcome measures of wound break down, flap necrosis and re-amputation were assessed amongst the clinical based level assessment group and the doppler based level assessment group. Results: A total of 171 patients were recruited into the study. Males 103 and 68 are females, giving a male to female ratio of 1.5:1. mean age 47 years. There were 84 patients in the clinical based level assessment group and 87 patients in the doppler based level assessment. Conclusion: diabetes mellitus foot disease is a significant risk factor for non-traumatic lower limb amputation and doppler level assessment is superior to clinical level in determining amputation level among diabetic patients scheduled for amputation. P-value 0.003.

dengue fever,caused by the dengue virus(dENV),poses a significant public health challenge globally,with Nigeria experiencing sporadic outbreaks.A clear understanding of the dengue burden has not been achieved in Nigeria,just as in other African *** the epidemiology and burden of dengue fever is essential for effective prevention and control *** paper examines the recent dengue outbreaks in northern Nigeria,particularly in Sokoto state,and evaluates the recommended Takeda dengue vaccine(TdV)along with future prevention *** limited surveillance and underreporting,dengue fever is endemic in Nigeria(with over 5 million cases and 5000 dengue-related deaths in 2023),with recent outbreaks indicating a growing *** TdV,a live attenuated tetravalent vaccine,has shown promise in preventing dengue fever,but challenges such as vaccine acceptance and access-ibility need to be *** urbanization contributes to the disease's spread,which is influenced by factors such as population density,cultural beliefs,water storage practices,hygiene,and water supply *** prevention strategies must focus on government intervention,community practices,and innovative vector control measures to mitigate the spread of dENV in *** study will serve as a valuable reference for policy-makers,researchers,and clinicians in the management and control of dENV in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Background: The use of drugs for purposes other than those for which they are meant to be used or in excess amounts. Psychoactive drugs are some of the drugs more commonly abused, also, antibiotics and other medications too can be misused. drug abuse and misuse can lead to serious social, medical and emotional harm to the patients, and antibiotic resistance that makes treatment harder are also likely complications. Method: Patients in both male and female wards of the Orthoepaedics department of ATBUTH, Bauchi were interviewed using a structured questionnaire and their responses were recorded and data were analyzed using the SPSS version 29. Results: A total of 112 patients were interviewed, 76 males and 36 females. Thirty-two (28.6%) patients had taken various kinds of unprescribed medications while on admission: 9 patients had taken unprescribed tramadol, 4 patients had taken codeine, 6 Ampiclox, 5 flagyl and about 8 patients had taken different kinds of traditional medications while on admission. Among the 32 patients, 23 (72%) are aged less than 30 years, 5 (16%) are aged between 30 and 50 years and 4 (12%) are aged above 50 years. Sixteen (50%) had such medications brought to them by relatives or friends, 10 (30%) were given by other patients on admission, 5 (15%) brought or bought the drugs by themselves while 1 (5%) were given by a non-clinical staff of the hospital. Conclusion: drug misuse and abuse is a very serious, deleterious practice with destructive consequences in its wake, such consequences as drug dependency with all its antecedent effects, antibiotic resistance and difficulties in controlling/managing infections are but a few. So, it’s very important to both educate patients about these terrible practices and cope with the spread of them in our wards and hospitals.

We study the single projection algorithm of Tseng for solving a variational inequality problem in a 2-uniformly convex Banach *** underline cost function of the variational inequality is assumed to be monotone and Lipschitz continuous.A weak convergence result is obtained under reasonable assumptions on the variable *** also give the strong convergence result for when the underline cost function is strongly monotone and Lipchitz *** this strong convergence case,the proposed method does not require prior knowledge of the modulus of strong monotonicity and the Lipschitz constant of the cost function as input parameters,rather,the variable step-sizes are diminishing and *** asymptotic estimate of the convergence rate for the strong convergence case is also *** completeness,we give another strong convergence result using the idea of Halpern iteration when the cost function is monotone and Lipschitz continuous and the variable step-sizes are bounded by the inverse of the Lipschitz constant of the cost ***,we give an example of a contact problem where our proposed method can be applied.

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems for approximation of a fixed point of a left Bregman strongly relatively nonexpansive mapping which is also a solution to a finite system of equilibrium problems in the framework of reflexive real Banach spaces. We also discuss the approximation of a common fixed point of a family of left Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings which is also solution to a finite system of equilibrium problems in reflexive real Banach spaces. Our results complement many known recent results in the literature.
