This paper presents new weighting functions in grid generation and new discretizing scheme of momentum equations in numerical simulation of river flow. By using the new weighting functions, the curvilinear grid could be concentrated as desired near the assigned points or lines in physical plane. By using the new discretizing scheme, the difficulties caused by movable boundary and dry riverbed can be overcome. As an application, the flow in the Wuhan Section of Yangtze River is simulated. The computational results are in good agreement with the measured results. The new method is applicable to the numerical simulation of 2-d river flow with irregular region and moveable boundary.

The adsorption of hydrogen molecule on the external surface of pure 0120 nanocapsule and endohedrallyH2 @C120 complex has been examined using the density functional theory calculations. Several different bonding configu- rations are considered for the hydrogen molecule approaching the outer surface of the considered nanocages. It has been found that the adsorbed H2 molecule bound weakly to the outer surface of the pure C1~0 nanocapsules in agreement with the recent experimental and theoretical results while, it prefers to be adsorbed rather strongly on the side wall of the endohedrally /-/2@C120 complex. The adsorption of a single layer and bi-layer of two tt2 molecules on the most stable states of the considered H2@C120 complex appears to be feasible, although the molecules of the second layer are weakly bound. Furthermore, it is found that the formation of 100% coverage is favorable therm.d.namically, which corresponds to about 20% by weight storage of 1-12 molecules. Thus, surprisingly, we arrive at the prediction that the C120 nanocapsules can be implemented as a novel material for energy storage.

Alloy selection and alloy design both require consideration of an array of material attributes, including in-service properties, weldability and fabricability. Critical properties of advanced wrought superalloys for gas turbine applications include high temperature strength, thermal stability, oxidation resistance and fatigue resistance. In this paper, the properties of twelve wrought solid-solution-strengthened and six age-hardenable superalloys are compared. Weldability is an important attribute and can be a major limiting factor in the use of certain alloys. Weldability test methods are discussed and the resistance of alloys to solidification cracking and strain-age cracking is compared. The use of weldability testing in the development of m.d.rn wrought su-peralloys is discussed with several examples cited. Finally, alloy selection for gas turbine components is outlined, taking into account both alloy properties and fabricability.

Objective In addition to assessing educational needs of family m.d.cine trainees in Ghana,we sought to assess whether those entering the training programme aim.d.to pursue an academic *** A case study using an anonymous cross-sectional survey through collaboration between faculty members from the family m.d.cine departments of Ghana and the University of *** The family m.d.cine postgraduate trainees and the most recent graduates in the three training sites,Accra,Kumasi and mampong,as well as m.d.lar residents in Ghana served as the targeted participants during data collection between October and November of *** Second and third year family m.d.cine residents,fellows(known as senior residents in Ghana)and recent graduates were invited to participate in this ***-five of 77 eligible subjects provided responses(46%response rate),but five records were eliminated due to incomplete data to yield a survey completion rate of 39%(30/77).Result Participants were mostly men(n=19),and the average age of respondents was 37 years *** participants indicated the residency programmes needed more faculty 97%(n=29),supervision during outpatient care 87%(n=26)and lectures 83%(n=25).The main reason provided by respondents for entering residency programme in family m.d.cine,which is currently not required for practising primary care in Ghana,was to obtain more education 93%(n=28).Participants who had completed the residency programme were much more likely to be interested in becoming faculty compared with those still in residency(pms the need for more faculty and the importance of investing in faculty development resources for ensuring a robust *** findings provide constructive feedback that could improve residency curricula of the local and regional family m.d.cine training programmes and supports investing in trainees and new graduates as future faculty candidates.

Recent advancements in wireless technology have tested Wireless Balloon Networks (WBNs) as an ideal solution for the provision of internet facilities in deprived and challenging areas. A few high profile companies, such as Google, Space data Inc., etc., have already m.d. news by initiating projects based on high-altitude WBNs in order to provide internet facilities in remote areas. Unfortunately, the technical details have mainly been kept confidential so far. In this paper, we attempt to analyze the percolation properties of large-scale WBNs, considering both homogenous and heterogenous wireless nodes. In order to do so, we m.d.led a WBN as a large-scale random network where the path-loss m.d.ls of homogenous and heterogenous WBNs were reduced to Gdm (Gilbert's disk m.d.l) and RGdm (Random Gilbert's disk m.d.l), respectively. The bounds of the critical density regime were derived for both percolation m.d.ls. Additionally, this paper implemented an experimental test bed for the WBN percolation m.d.l. Consequently, the findings of this research may prove crucial in estimating critical network properties.

Healthcare guidelines play a prominent role in the daytoday practice of primary care providers,and health policy research leads to the formation of these *** policy research is the multidisciplinary approach to public policy explaining the interaction between health institutions,special interests and theoretical *** this article,we demonstrate how primary care providers can conduct high-impact health policy research using Eugene Bardach’s eightfold policy analysis framework in a primary care *** a m.d.cal case,a woman with a history of total hysterectomy had scheduled a visit for a Papanicolaou(Pap)smear screening test as part of a well-woman health check-up with a family m.d.cine *** recommendations on Pap smear screening after total hysterectomy sparked an investigation using the US Preventive Services Task Force criteria for conducting a health policy *** illustrate broadly how clinical care dilemmas can be examined by using Bardach’s broadly applicable health policy framework in order to inform meaningful policy ***’s framework includes(1)defining the problem,(2)assembling evidence,(3)constructing alternatives,(4)selecting criteria,(5)projecting outcomes,(6)confronting trade-offs,(7)decision-making and(8)sharing the results of the *** policy analysis demonstrated insufficient evidence to recommend Pap test screening after hysterectomy and the findings contributed to national *** following Bardach’s steps,primary care researchers have a feasible and powerful tool for conducting meaningful health policy research and analysis that can influence clinical practice.
