The aims of this study were:i)to compare no-till areas in two municipalities located in different regions of Brazil,along with the influence on CO_(2)Flux and GPP,and ii)to verify the difference between environmental factors followed by the trends of these variables regarding future scenarios(ARIMA time-series model number).The study was carried out in two areas with different latitudes in the municipalities of Sinop-MT and Passo Fundo-RS,both in Brazil.A time series of 19 years was performed with data acquired by remote sensing from the following satellites:i)Landsat-8(OLI and TIRS),and ii)TERRA/AQUA(MODIS).The results propound that the spectro-temporal variables are directly influenced by soil management and agricultural practices over the observation time,with a satisfactory correlation in future predictions of the variables for the next ten years,in which presented that the variation of GPP and albedo values for the two study sites would gradually increase until 2028 and the temperature remained constant between the range of its seasonality,and CO_(2)Flux tends to decrease in its seasonality,indicating a higher CO_(2) absorption.

The present study focuses on the flow of a yield-stress (Bingham) nanofluid, consisting of suspended Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles, subjected to a magnetic field in a backward-facing step duct (BFS) configuration. The duct is equipped with a cylindrical obstacle, where the lower wall is kept at a constant temperature. The yield-stress nanofluid enters this duct at a cold temperature with fully developed velocity. The aim of the present investigation is to explore the influence of flow velocity (Re = 10 to 200), nanoparticle concentration ( φ = 0 to 0.1), magnetic field intensity (Ha = 0 to 100), and its inclination angle (γ = 0 to 90) and nanofluid yield stress (Bn = 0 to 20) on the thermal and hydrodynamic efficiency inside the backward-facing step. The numerical results have been obtained by resolving the momentum and energy balance equations using the Galerkin finite element method. The obtained results have indicated that an increase in Reynolds number and nanoparticle volume fraction enhances heat transfer. In contrast, a significant reduction is observed with an increase in Hartmann and Bingham numbers, resulting in quasi-immobilization of the fluid under the magnetic influence and radical solidification of this type of fluid, accompanied by the suppression of the vortex zone downstream of the cylindrical obstacle. This study sheds light on the complexity of this magnetically influenced fluid, with potential implications in various engineering and materials science fields.

The aims of this study were （a） to determine the prevalence of subjects with semen hyperviscosity （SHV） in a large population of male partners of subfertile couples; （b） to identify any correlation between SHV and infections or inflammation of the genital tract; （c） to assess the effects of therapeutic approaches for treating SHV; and （d） to assess sperm kinetic parameters after successful treatment of SHV. A retrospective study of 1 833 male partners of subfertile couples was conducted. Next, clinical, seminal, bacteriological and ultrasound studies involving 52 subjects suffering from SHV were performed, and the SHV was classified as being mild （length of thread 〉 2 cm and ≤4 cm）, moderate （〉 4 cm and ≤ 6 cm） or severe （〉 6 cm）. The prevalence of SHV was observed in 26.2% （480） of the subjects, with 13.2% suffering from mild, 6.6% from moderate and 6.4% from severe SHV. Treatment was completely successful in only 27 subjects （52.0%）, primarily in those who had mild basal SHV with a positive semen culture. In these subjects, progressive motility percentage, straight line velocity and linearity were significantly higher than pre-treatment levels. SHV is often found in subjects with subfertility. Pathogenesis was strictly related to infective/inflammatory factors in only 48.0% of cases; therefore, it is possible that biochemical, enzymatic or genetic factors have a role in this condition.

We present a method to accurately predict the Helmholtz harmonic free energies of molecular crystals in high-throughput *** is achieved by devising a computationally efficient framework that employs a Gaussian Process Regression model based on local atomic *** cost to train the model with ab initio potentials is reduced by starting the optimization of the framework parameters,as well as the training and validation sets,with an empirical *** is then transferred to train the model based on density-functional theory potentials,including *** benchmarked our framework on a set of 444 hydrocarbon crystal structures,comprising 38 polymorphs and 406 crystal structures either measured in different conditions or derived from these *** performance and high prediction accuracy,with mean absolute deviation below 0.04 kJ mol^(−1) per atom at 300 K is achieved by training on as little as 60 crystal ***,we demonstrate the predictive efficiency and accuracy of the developed framework by successfully calculating the thermal lattice expansion of aromatic hydrocarbon crystals within the quasi-harmonic approximation,and predict how lattice expansion affects the polymorph stability ranking.

The natural neighbour method can be considered as one of many variants of the meshless methods. In the present paper, a new approach based on the Fraeijs de Veubeke （FdV） functional, which is initially developed for linear elasticity, is extended to the case of geometrically linear but materially non-linear solids. The new approach provides an original treatment to two classical problems： the numerical evaluation of the integrals over the domain A and the enforcement of boundary conditions of the type ui = hi on Su. In the absence of body forces （Fi = 0）, it will be shown that the calculation of integrals of the type fA .dA can be avoided and that boundary conditions of the type ui = hi on Su can be imposed in the average sense in general and exactly if hi is linear between two contour nodes, which is obviously the case for tTi = O.

Antennae of the wheat stink bug Eurygaster maura L. （Hemiptera： Scutelleridae） were investigated to elucidate structure and distribution of antennal chemosensilla in females. Five type of sensilla were identified and characterized using a scanning electron microscope （SEM） and a transmission electron microscope （TEM）. Type 1 sensilla are mechanical and contact chemoreceptors with a single apical pore. Types 2 and 3 sensilla are multiporous chemoreceptors both with typical features of olfactory sensilla. Type 4 are multiporous peg-like sensilla, short and with a grooved surface. Type 5 are sensilla coeloconica with a smooth and aporous peg completely inserted in a sub-cuticular chamber. All types are distributed on the two flagellar segments, but we considered only the apical flagellomere in which the largest number of sensilla are located. The most abundant sensilla are type 3, while the less numerous are type 5. All types, except type 2, decreased in number from the tip to the base of the segment. The lower density of sensilla was recorded on the dorsal-internal part of the apical antennomere, while the higher density was recorded on the opposite side （external-ventral）.

The knowledge of Martian geology has increased enormously in the last 40 yr. Several missions orbiting or roving Mars have revolutionized our understanding of its evolution and geological features, which in several ways are similar to Earth, but are extremely different in many respects. The impressive dichotomy between the two Martian hemispheres is most likely linked to its impact cratering history, rather than internal dynamics such as on Earth. Mars＇ volcanism has been extensive, very longlived and rather constant in its setting. Water was available in large quantities in the distant past of Mars, when a magnetic field and more vigorous tectonics were active. Exogenic forces have been shaping Martian landscapes and have led to a plethora of landscapes shaped by wind, water and ice. Mars＇ dynamical behavior continues, with its climatic variation affecting climate and geology until very recent times. This paper tries to summarize major highlights in Mars＇ Geology, and points to deeper and more extensive sources of important scientific contributions and future exploration.
