This article is about a report of the experiment of PRO/PET-Saúde students in the anti-HIV tests implementation in the town of Santa Cruz-RN. The goal is to report the importance and discuss the aspects of the moment experienced above inside the basic health unit in the town of Santa Cruz-RN. The experience occurred in the months from February to March 2014 and they were conducted within 8 hours per week. This way, it is observed that the period lived made possible great reflection about the making of the examination in the pre-natal appointment routines, cataloguing challenges which come up during their adequacy within the services. Lastly, the action developed aimed for the aggregation of an active learning process in the search for a critical sense in the experienced practice, allowing and prioritizing the basic health unit as a scope of reference and counter-reference in the public health service, increasing concrete answers and the needs of the population, guaranteeing an adequate service delivery and strengthening the SUS more and more. The insertion of students through the PRO/PET-Saúde-Rede Cegonha enables a reorientation of professional formation, from the integration between service and teaching.

Introduction: Pregnancy is a unique situation and involves changes in sexuality. The aim is to evaluate sexual function and satisfaction in pregnant women under prenatal care provided by the public health system. Method: Cross-sectional study with pregnant women receiving ambulatory care in the public health system in the Southern region of Brazil conducted between November 2014 and September 2015. Results: 283 pregnant women were studied. The mean age was 27.7 ± 6.3 years;64% were white and 31.1% were nulliparous. In the total sample, 8.50% were in the first trimester of pregnancy, 37.4% were in the second trimester, and 54.1% were in the third trimester. The rate of global sexual dysfunction (score 26 points) was 55.5%, following the application of The Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI). Sexual dysfunction was significantly more prevalent in the third trimester (62%) compared to the first (33.3%) and second (50.9%) trimesters (p = 0.015). There was a significant difference in all domains, except in the desired domain, according to the trimester. Pregnant women in the third trimester showed significantly lower scores compared to those in the first trimester in the domains with significance. Conclusion: The prevalence of sexual dysfunction among pregnant women in the public system was high. Knowing that more than 50% of the pregnant women presented sexual dysfunction, it is essential to approach sexuality during prenatal care involving the couple.

Cerebral pericytes are perivascular cells that stabilize blood vessels. Little is known about the plasticity of pericytes in the adult brain in vivo. Recently, using stateof-the-art technologies, including two-photon microscopy in combination with sophisticated Cre/loxP in vivo tracing techniques, a novel role of pericytes was revealed in vascular remodeling in the adult brain. Strikingly, after pericyte ablation, neighboring pericytes expand their processes and prevent vascular dilatation. This new knowledge provides insights into pericyte plasticity in the adult brain.

Introduction: Sexual problems are fairly common, and sexuality is an important parameter of health and quality of life. However, only a few centers in Brazil have ambulatories specialized in sexual dysfunction. This study was conducted in a service that is a state reference for these pathologies. Methods: This study was conducted at the human sexuality ambulatory of a large public hospital in southern Brazil. It was a cross-sectional descriptive study with women attending at the first medical visit to the ambulatory of human sexuality in a period of four years. Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) questionnaires with both qualitative and quantitative questions were applied in all first medical visits to the ambulatory. Results: The 153 women attending had a mean age of 40.9 (±12.9) years. The most frequent complaint was “lack of desire” (56.8%), followed by pain in intercourse (25.4%) and lack of pleasure or inability to achieve orgasm (12.4%). The prevalence of sexual dysfunction (FSFI cut-off score cant correlation with a lower FSFI score. There was an inverse correlation between the length of the relationship and the FSFI score. The self-attributed score for satisfaction with sexual life had a significant correlation with the FSFI total score (r = 0.708, p 0.01). Conclusion: We conclude that women who seek care in sexuality are in the perimenopausal period and that factors such as the number of children, age of menopause and length of the relationship have a negative influence on sexuality. The score for the self-assessment of sexuality could serve as an initial screening for sexual dysfunction, since it is quick and easy to apply in routine medical visits. However, more studies are required to compare the FSFI and this score.

Background: Exercise training has demonstrating to be safe and promote benefits for several rheumatologic autoimmune diseases. However, no study has evaluated the safety and benefits of exercise in relapsing polychondritis. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of an exercise training program in a patient with relapsing polychondritis. case presentation: A 67-year-old female patient with relapsing polychondritis in remission was submitted to a 12-week, twice weekly, aerobic and resistance training program. Aerobic capacity, muscle strength and function capacity, as well as body composition, were evaluated at baseline and after 12-weeks. Conclusions: Exercise training program demonstrated to be effective for increasing aerobic capacity, muscle strength and function, and for improving body composition in the patient. Further studies are necessary to confirm these findings.

Tuberculosis is one of the 10 leading causes of death in the world. Its symptoms include fever, malaise, weakness, weight loss, chest pain, cough, expectoration, shortness of breath and sepsis, which is its most frequent complication. Due to these symptoms, many patients with tuberculosis require admission to the Intensive care Unit, where they usually are placed on mechanical ventilation. Tuberculosis is more prevalent in the population in situations of social and economic vulnerability. The main factors that interfere with adherence to treatment and the prognosis of these patients are the patient’s support network and their socioeconomic status. We present the following report of a long-time smoker patient, with chronic kidney disease and previous treatment for tuberculosis, who was brought to the emergency room due to lowering of the sensorium, and was immediately placed on mechanical ventilation. The tests suggested sepsis with a respiratory focus, so a search for Alcohol-Acid-Resistant Bacillus was carried out, with a positive result. The patient was transferred to the Intensive care Unit due to tachycardia and acute respiratory failure. The patient was a smoker with a high tobacco load, chronic kidney disease, in addition to precarious economic, educational and self-care conditions. This report shows that patients with tuberculosis and its complications can be stabilized through known pharmacological treatment. However, the most effective measure to interrupt the transmission of the disease remains the early diagnosis and the provision of adequate treatment, with guidelines aimed at the cessation of harmful habits, such as smoking.

DNA vaccines are the third generation vaccines based on purified plasmid preparations containing transgenes that encode antigenic/therapeutic proteins or peptides capable of triggering an immune response against a wide range of diseases. This vaccine platform presents several attributes that confer distinct advantages over other vaccine technologies in terms of safety, ease of fabrication and stability. Many aspects, such as antigen expression and especially vector design, are under study because of their great influence on immunogenicity and efficacy of DNA vaccines. In this regard, with the attempt of improving the efficiency of DNA vaccines, co-expression of stimulatory sequences and diverse vector delivery systems are being optimized. With this in mind, this review aims to giving a conceptual approach of DNA vaccines, explaining their mechanisms of action and listing the already licensed veterinary DNA vaccines presented in the market.

INTRODUCTION: Sexuality is one of the parameters of quality of life, and it is essential to include care for sexual dysfunctions in primary health care. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic approach in female sexual dysfunction in a public health outpatient clinic. DESIGN: A prospective cohort of women with sexual dysfunctions in an outpatient clinic of sexology in the Public Health System. The Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and scored 0 - 10 their sexual satisfaction were applied at the beginning and end of the follow-up. RESULTS: Eighty-nine women were included with a median age of 45 years, 69 (77.5%) had less than 11 years of schooling and 95.5% lived with a partner. The main reasons for referral for follow-up at the outpatient clinic of sexuality were dysfunction of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in 67.4% and pain related to sexual function in 46%. The average number of consultations was five and the main therapeutic interventions were guidance and clarification on sexuality (86.5%), use of topical estrogen (56.2%), and relaxation techniques (37.1%). We present the first evidence of Archean oceanic crust submitted to Proterozoic high-pressure(HP)metamorphism in the South American ***-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopic data combined with U-Pb geochronological data from the campo Grande area,Rio Grande do Norte domain,in the Northern Borborema Province,reflect a complex Archean(2.9 Ga and 2.6 Ga)and Paleoproterozoic(2.0 Ga)evolution,culminating in the Neoproterozoic Brasiliano/Pan-African orogeny(ca.600 Ma).The preserved mafic rocks contain massive poikiloblastic garnet and granoblastic amphibole with variable proportions of plagioclase+diopside in symplectitic texture,typical of high-pressure *** clinopyroxene-garnet amphibolites and the more common garnet amphibolites from the campo Grande area are exposed as rare lenses within an Archean migmatite *** amphibolite lenses represent 2.65 Ga juvenile tholeiitic magmatism derived from depleted mantle sources(positive values of+3.81 to+30.66)later enriched by mantle metasomatism(negative εNd(t)values of-7.97).Chondrite and Primitive Mantle-normalized REE of analyzed samples and discriminant diagrams define two different oceanic affinities,with E-MORB and OIB *** Eu anomalies(Eu/Eu*=0.75-0.95)indicate depletion of plagioclase in the *** zircon cores of 3.0-2.9 Ga in analyzed samples indicate that the Neoarchean tholeiitic magmatism was emplaced into 2923±14 Ma old Mesoarchean crust(εNd(t)--2.58 and Nd TDM=3.2 Ga)of the Rio Grande do Norte *** age of retro-eclogite facies metamorphism is not yet completely *** suggest that two high-grade metamorphic events are recognized in the mafic rocks:the first at 2.0 Ga,recorded in some samples,and the second,at ca.600 Ma,stronger and more pervasive and recorded in several of the mafic rock *** Neoproterozoic zircon grains are found in symplectite texture as inclusions in the garnet grains and represent the age of HP conditions in the *** zircon grains show a
