Aptian–Albian Transition in Central Tunisia:Tectonosedimentary and Paleogeographic Records

The Aptian-Albian series are characterized, in Tunisia, by several variations in subsidence rates and records discrete unconformity between Albian and Aptian in central and southern Tunisia. In central Tunisia Upper Aptian regressions were sustained until the beginning of Albian with a low sea level stand. In this paper, wells data gathered from central Tunisia exposes well expressed Aptian-Albian hiatus associated to several partial sedimentary gaps, erosion surface and unconformities and correlated with the ＂Aptian Crisis＂ highlighted at the Tethyan scale. This latter is coeval with an extensional regime in concurrence with the African rifting responsible for halokinesis movements and magmatism and leaded to the establishment of paleoreliefs as much as tilted blocks and half grabens in central Tunisia. Deposition shows regional hiatus and lateral transition from platform facies to south to, open marine facies to the north. The structural configuration of this domain within normal faulting, horsts and grabens leaded to the establishment of several distinct basins with different subsidence rates. Discordances occur specially around and upward uplifted blocks and emerged land and are especially associated with Aptian reef, karsts and shallow marine facies. They are unconformably overlaid by the transgressive open marine facies of Albian-Cenomanian series acknowledged as source rock in Central Tunisia. In addition, the reefal Aptian facies is considered a potential reservoir rocks in central Tunisia and it is frequently associated to mineralization and Hydrocarbure reservoirs.

Phosphate glass samples with various Yb2O3 and Er2O3 contents were synthesized by the conventional melt quenching technique and characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR absorption spectroscopy and Raman scattering spectroscopy. The absorption, emission spectra and fluorescence decay studies were carried out both at low and room temperatures. Results showed the existence of several sites occupied by the rare earth ions in the phosphate glass. Up-conversion and cooperative fluorescence were also discussed.

在过去的几百年里,汽车行业的创新带来了重要的科学进步,使得汽车变得更安全、更清洁,价格实惠。当今汽车工业是收入最大的经济部门之一。就从每个人拥有的车辆来说,其在改善人们生活质量方面发挥着重要作用。汽车被认为是我们生活中的一部分,它需要有最大的舒适度和安全度。汽车有着很大的优势,但也存在弊端。我们可以看到在一些汽车事故中,它所造成的人身伤害和死亡。汽车安全事故成为了五大死亡原因之首,因此汽车公司经常试图通过开发新技术去提高安全度,以满足顾客的需求。本项目以改善汽车的安全性和舒适性为目的,对未来汽车行业安全性和舒适性两方面进行初步调查,引领电子设计在新汽车系统中的整合。现代汽车的安全系统发达,但由于装备许多复杂的设备而变得昂贵。并且,现代汽车存在一些问题,如在加速器和制动器设计方面的问题容易导致人们误操作。这也是这个项目开展的原因,本项目的目标总结如下:-通过改变现有机械加速器为数字加速器,解决上述设计问题。-采用简单设备来确保驾驶员的安全和舒适。-便于保养。-更廉价,能够集成在较旧汽车里。

Impact of intersection type and a vehicular fleet's hybridization level on energy consumption and emissions

A vehicle＇s energy consumption and emissions are two major constraints in sustainable development. Both of them have proportionally raised in recent decades with the exponential growth of world traffic demands. The reduction of road traffic-generated energy consumption and emissions have thus become unprecedentedly challenging and worth examining. This paper investigates energy consumption and environmental problems present at roundabout and signalized intersection to analyze the impact of the hybridization level＇s fleet and intersection type on vehicle consumption and pollution. Instantaneous fuel consumption and emission models coupled with simulation of urban mobility （SUMO） are in this study. The authors started with modeling energy consumption. Then, an emission model emissions from traffic （EMIT） was implemented to quantify vehicle emissions of CO2, CO and NOX. These models help investigate the influence of intersection type on energy consumption and environmental conditions. The authors implemented a signalized intersection and roundabout using SUMO. The input data are collected from the roundabout of Sousse （Tunisia） using video data collection. Since there is a lack of econometric models that emulate hybridized stream behavior near intersections, two energy consumption models for the roundabout and crossroad are developed using traffic flow and hybridization level as the input variables. Compared to crossroads, a roundabout can obtain more environmental improvements and substantial reductions in energy consumption and road traffic emissions.

Curcumin,an active ingredient of dietary spice used in curry,has been shown to exhibit anti-oxidant,anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative *** EB directed differentiation protocol of H-9 human em-bryonic stem(ES)cells;we evaluated the effect of cur-cumin(0-20μmol/L)in enhancing such *** results using real time PCR,western blotting and immunostaining demonstrated that curcumin signifi-cantly increased the gene expression and protein levels of cardiac specific transcription factor NKx2.5,cardiac troponin I,myosin heavy chain,and endothelial nitric oxide synthase during ES cell ***-more,an NO donor enhanced the curcumin-mediated induction of NKx2.5 and other cardiac specific *** of cells with curcumin led to a dose depend-ent increase in intracellular nitrite to the same extent as giving an authentic NO *** assay for second messenger(s)cyclic AMP(cAMP)and cyclic GMP(cGMP)revealed that continuous presence of cur-cumin in differentiated cells induced a decrease in the baseline levels of cAMP but it significantly elevated baseline contents of *** addition to a cell free assay significantly suppressed cAMP and cGMP degradation in the extracts while long term treatment of intact cells with curcumin increased the rates of cAMP and cGMP degradation suggesting that this might be due to direct suppression of some cyclic nucleo-tide-degrading enzyme(phosphodiesterase)by *** studies demonstrate that polyphenol curcu-min may be involved in differentiation of ES cells partly due to manipulation of nitric oxide signaling.

To study the phytochemical constituents and in vitro biological activities of hydromethanolic extract and fractions from Algerian Sahara Myrtus nivellei (M. nivellei) collected in Hoggar region and to identify the active fraction that can act as an alternative of commonly used antibiotics and as antileishmanial or antioxidant *** screening of M. nivellei aerial parts was realised according to the literature. Extract was firstly prepared by using aqueous methanol then fractionated with ethyl acetate and butanol solvents. Total phenolics, tannis and flavonoids, of the hydromethanolic extract and their fractions were determined by Folin-Ciocalteu method as gallic acid equivalents and by aluminium chloride as rutin equivalent respectively. Extract and fractions were tested for their antimicrobial and antiparasital activities against standard bacteria using agar diffusion method and two kinds of leishmania visceral and cutaneous. The antioxidant activities were realized using phosphomolybdenum, FRAP and DPPH *** phytochemical screening exhibited the presence of flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids. The experimental results showed that plant extract and fractions were high in phenolic compounds and exhibited an important role as antioxidant, antimicrobial and had a moderate antileishmanial *** observations lead us toward more studies in this field, so that we can get more benefits from our local Algerian medicinal plants.
