CO2 reforming of meth.ne （CDRM） was carried out over MgO supported Ni catalysts with.various Ni loadings. Th. preparation of MgO supported Ni catalysts via surfactant-assisted precipitation meth.d led to th. formation of a nanocrystalline carrier for nickel catalysts. Th. synth.sized samples were ch.racterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption, h. ch.misorption, TPR, TPO and SEM tech.iques. It was found th.t th. h.gh.catalytic activity and stability of th. prepared catalysts could be attributable to h.gh.dispersion of reduced Ni species and basicity of support surface. In addition, th. effect of feed ratio, nickel loading and Gh.V on th. catalytic performance of CDRM over th. catalysts were investigated.

Mech.nical activation processes on ilmenite concentrate were performed in th.ee different energy levels. Iron powder as a reducing agent was added to ilmenite in th. milling stage and th. mech.nically activated mixture was subjected to acid leach.ng. Th. leach.ng experiments were designed using th. Taguch. meth.d, and th. optimum ranges were obtained. Furth.rmore, response surface meth.dology(RSM) was used to optimize th. critical parameters in th. leach.ng system to ach.eve th. h.gh.st titanium(Ti) leach.bility. based on th. inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES) results, maximum leach.ng recovery of Ti(80%) was obtained using activated Ti concentrates at a medium activation energy level, wh.ch.is calculated to be 25.38 kJ/g, using 15 vol% h.droch.oric acid(h.l), a temperature of 70°C, leach.ng time of 3 h. and a solid-to-liquid ratio of 0.05 g×mL^(–1). Intensifying th. milling energy from a low to h.gh.level led to a decrease in th. mean crystallite size and also structure h.mogenization at th. h.gh.energy level. According to th. transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images, th. mean grain size of th. ilmenite/Fe nanocomposite was about 30 nm at th. medium energy level sample. Finally, solvent extraction by tributyl ph.sph.te(TbP) was performed on th. leach.liquor to separate dissolved Fe(th. major impurity) from Ti, wh.ch.led to 83% extraction recovery of Ti.

A process for purifying aqueous solutions containing h.avy and toxic metals such.as ch.omium（Cr） h.s been investigated. One of th. extremely h.rmful pollutants in rivers and seawater is th. h.avy metal ions due to th.ir direct impacts on h.man, animals and plants are h.xavalent Cr（Ⅵ）. Consequently, h.gh.y sensitive sensor to detect Cr is essential. Surface plasmon resonance（SPR） tech.ique h.s attracted h.ge research.interest in detecting h.avy metals specifically. In th.s study, th.ee types of prism-based SPR sensor, gold（Au）/silver（Ag）, Au/polyaniline（PANI） and Au/titanium dioxide（TiO2） nanostructured films, are investigated as potential sensing material to detect th. presence of Cr（Ⅵ） ions in water. Th. base Au layer with.th.ckness of 48.3 nm is deposited on a glass slide for all sensors. For Au/Ag, Au/PANI nanofibers and Au/TiO2sensor films, th. Cr（Ⅵ） concentration is varied from 1 ppm to 15 ppm with.sensitivity of 0.270 °ppm-1, 0.082 °ppm-1and 0.039 °ppm-1, respectively. based on th.se results, th. Au/PANI nanofibers are th. most sensitive to Cr（Ⅵ） among th. tested sensing materials.

We use effective field th.ory （EFT） for th. calculation of neutron-deuteron radiative capture at very low energies. We present h.re th. use of EFT to calculate a low-energy ph.to-nuclear observable in th.ee-body systems, th. ph.ton polarization parameter and and fore-aft asymmetry at th.rmal neutron energies up to next-to-next to leading order （N2 LO）, with.inclasion of th. electric quadrupole contribution. Th. ph.ton polarization parameter in total is found to be Rc = -0.421±0.003 and is in good agreement with.th. oth.r modern th.oretical calculations based on modern nucleon-nucleon potentials. In comparison with.our previous work, a satisfactory agreement with.th. available experimental data is found by inclusion of th. electric quadrupole contribution.

Th.s study investigates th. performance of Ni and Co catalysts based on Fe-promoted MgAl2O4for CO2meth.nation, wh.ch.is a crucial step in mitigating environmental carbon dioxide levels. Th. MgAl2O4support was modified with.various Fe loading（5, 10, and 15 wt%） and fabricated via a novel coprecipitation tech.ique with.th. h.lp of ultrasonic waves and ch.sen as support for 15 wt% Ni and Co active ph.ses. Examination of th. bET surface properties of th. catalysts sh.wed an increase in surface area in th. range of 54–82 m2/g and 73–85 m2/g with.an increasing Fe loading for Ni and Co catalysts, respectively. Among th. Ni-based catalysts, th. 15Ni/10FeMgAl2O4specimen exh.bited th. best performance（with.a 73.31 % CO2conversion and 95.61 % selectivity rate） and remarkable lifetime during 10 h.at 400°C due to th. better reducibility and th. increase in h.drogen consumption. h.wever, a rise in Fe amount to 15 wt% led to a reduction in th. CO2conversion to 34.43 %. Th. catalytic outcomes also demonstrated th.t th. presence of Fe in Co/MgAl2O4catalysts negatively affects catalytic performance. Th. unpromoted Co/MgAl2O4sample demonstrated th. best performance, ach.eving a conversion rate of 52.41 % at 350°C.
