Since the coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19),which caused several respiratory diseases,was formally declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization(WHO)on March 11,2020,it affected the lifestyle and health of athletes,both directly through cardiorespiratory and other health related effects,and indirectly as the pandemic has forced the suspension,postponement,or cancellation of most professional sporting events around the *** this review,we explore the journey of athletes throughout the pandemic and during their return to their competitive *** also highlight potential pitfalls during the process and summarize the recommendations for the optimal return to sport *** further discuss the impact of the pandemic on the psychology of athletes,the variance between the team and individual athletes,and their ability to cope with the ***,we specifically reviewed the pandemic impact on younger professional athletes in terms of mental and fitness ***,we shaded light on the various impacts of mass gathering events and recommendations for managing upcoming events.

The spatial distribution of surface and subsurface soil attributes is an important input to environmental *** attributes represent an important input to the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT),which influence the accuracy of the modeling *** ArcGIS-based tool was developed to predict soil attributes and provide inputs to *** essential inputs are digital elevation model and field *** soil data/maps can be used to derive observations when recent field surveys are not *** layers,such as satellite images and auxiliary data,improve the prediction *** model contains a series of steps(menus)to facilitate iterative *** steps are summarized in deriving many terrain attributes to characterize each pixel based on local attributes as well as the characteristics of the contributing *** model then subdivides the entire watershed into smaller facets(subdivisions of subwatersheds)and classifies these into groups.A linear regression model to predict soil attributes from terrain attributes and auxiliary data are established for each class and implemented to predict soil attributes for each pixel within the class and then merged for the entire watershed or study ***(Soil-Landscape Estimation and Evaluation Program)utilizes Pedo-transfer functions to provide the spatial distribution of the necessary unmapped soil data needed for SWAT *** application of the tool demonstrated acceptable accuracy and better spatial distribution of soil attributes compared with two spatial interpolation *** analysis indicated low sensitivity of SWAT prediction to the number of field observations when SLEEP is used to provide the soil *** demonstrates the potential of SLEEP to support SWAT modeling where soil data is scarce.

The coincidence of intensive rainfall events at the beginning of the rainy season and unprotected soil conditions after extreme dry spells expose the Ethiopian Highlands to severe soil *** and water conservation measures(SWC)have been applied to counteract land degradation in the endangered areas,but SWC efficiency may vary related to the heterogeneity of the *** Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model was used to model hydrology and sediment dynamics of a 53.7 km^(2)watershed,located in the Lake Tana basin,*** distributed stone bund impacts were applied in the model through modification of the surface runoff ratio and adjustment of a support practice factor simulating the trapped amounts of water and sediment at the SWC structure and watershed *** resulting Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency(NSE)for daily streamflow simulation was 0.56 for the calibration and 0.48 for the validation period,suggesting satisfactory model *** contrast,the daily sediment simulation resulted in unsatisfactory model performance,with the NSE value of 0.07 for the calibration and–1.76 for the validation period and this could be as a result of high intensity and short duration rainfall events in the ***,insufficient sediment yield prediction may result to some extent from daily based data processing,whereas the driving runoff events and thus sediment loads occur on sub-daily time scales,probably linked with abrupt gully breaks and *** calibrated model indicated 21.08 Mg/hm^(2)average annual sediment yield,which is far beyond potential soil regeneration *** the given limits of model calibration,SWAT may support the scaling up and out of experimentally proven SWC interventions to encourage sustainable agriculture in the Ethiopian Highlands.

The energy market in Libya is expected to face substantial changes in the next few years:electrical energy consumption will increase by 50% within the next 4 ***,there is a plan to gradually increase renewable energy sources in the power network by 2030 to 30%.Solar photovoltaic(PV)plants will play a significant role in the energy transition and the mix of energy sources in *** article is a study conducted to investigate the challenges of power-flow management and power protection from integrating PV power plants into the Libyan power *** particular,a simulation model is built for the Kufra PV power plant(10 MW)with eight buses to assess the power network performance in terms of power quality such as voltage profile,power losses and ***,the impact of the PV plant on the short-circuit level and the power-protection system is presented under different operating *** fault ride-through(FRT)is operated using standard ambient temperature and a wide range of irradiation intensity,and is verified by using the Libyan grid *** results show that the integration of the PV plant into the grid has a significant impact on the short-circuit level and the FRT over the different fault levels and locations on the *** initial period of the three-phase fault shows that the PV plant will be disconnected from the grid due to a decrease in the root mean square value voltages where the reactive and active power of the grid reach 938 MVAR and 261 MW,*** results show that increasing the fault level will lead to an increase in injecting the active *** work is considered the first extensive investigation into the challenges of modern power-flow management and power protection for the power network system in Libya.

The Case-agreement System in Subjunctive Complements

Unlike matrix verbs, the verb in subjunctive complements in Standard Arabic lacks tense; nonetheless, it inflects for agreement and mood. The subject of subjunctive verbs is Case-marked accusative if it surfaces in a preverbal position; and nominative if it appears in a postverbal position. In addition, the subjunctive verb shows agreement asymmetry with its subject, depending on the position of the subject. Subjunctive complements appear in tenseless contexts in this language, i.e. control structures, ECM-like structures, and obviative structures. In this paper, I provide a new analysis for subject-verb agreement asymmetry in these complements and account for the different Case markers that appear on their subject. In particular, I argue that feature-specification on the inflectional head T triggers the verbal agreement asymmetry in subjunctive complements. I also argue that formal features and nominative Case in these complements can be valued by a defective probe. Crucially, I argue that the defective probe can establish agreement and assign nominative Case in-situ, without resorting to A-movement, and the subsequent movement of the embedded subject to a preverbal position is triggered by the EPP feature on the O-complete T. The corollary of this investigation lends support to the assumption that the Case-agreement system in this language is not contingent on tense.

This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation on the response of pre-damaged reinforced concrete （RC） beam strengthened in shear using applied-epoxy unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced polymer （CFRP） sheet. The reasearch included four test rectangular simply supported RC beams in shear capacity. One is the control beam, two RC beams are damaged to a predetermined degree from ultimate shear capacity of the control beam, and the last beam is left without pre-damaged and then strengthened with using externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer to upgrade their shear capacity. We focused on the damage degree to beams during strengthening, therefore, only the beams with sidebonded CFRPs strips and horizontal anchored strips were used. The results show the feasibility of using CFRPs to restore or increase the load-carrying capacity in the shear of damaged RC beams. The failure mode of all the CFRP-strengthened beams is debonding of CFRP vertical strips. Two prediction available models in AC1-440 and fib European code were compared with the experimental results.

Current knowledge of burn injury first aid practices and applied traditional remedies:a nationwide survey

Background:Burn first aid awareness has been shown to reduce morbidity and *** present a report on the knowledge and practices of the Saudi population with regard to burn first aid and the application of traditional ***:An internet-based survey was conducted to assess the public’s knowledge on first aid practices and home remedies applied for burn injuries among Saudi ***:A total of 2758 individuals responded to the *** were 1178(42.7%)respondents who had previously received burn first aid *** thousand five hundred fifty respondents had a history of burn exposure in which burn injury first aid was applied as follows:1118(72.1%)removed clothing and accessories from the injured area;water was applied by 990(63.9%);among those who applied water,877(88.6%)applied cold water;and only 57(5.8%)did so for more than 15 *** the burn area was performed by 526(33.9%),and 985(63.5%)sought medical *** it comes to traditional remedies,2134(77.4%)knew of and/or implemented these remedies as first aid or to treat *** and toothpaste were the commonest among these remedies with 1491(69.9%)and 1147(53.7%),*** was associated with female gender(r=0.87,P<0.001),younger age group(19–25 years)(r=0.077,P<0.001),from central region(r=0.012,P<0.001),and university graduate(r=0.05,P=0.002).Nearly half of those who knew of traditional remedies did not have previous knowledge of burn first ***:Proper burn first aid is a simple,cheap,and accessible means of managing burns *** the majority of the respondents were university graduates(51.1%),knowledge and implementation of burn first aid was very *** healthcare agencies should review and promote a consistent guideline for burn first aid in an effort to tackle and minimize the effect of this grave injury.

Lung cancer represents the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Despite improvements in preoperative staging, surgical techniques, neoadjuvant/adjuvant options and postoperative care, there are still major difficulties in significantly improving survival, especially in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). To date, surgical resection is the primary mode of treatment for stage?Ⅰ?and Ⅱ NSCLC and has become an important component of the multimodality therapy of even more advanced disease with a curative intention. In fact, in NSCLC patients with solitary distant metastases, surgical interventions have been discussed in the last years. Accordingly, this review displays the recent surgical strategies implemented in the therapy of NSCLC patients.

Wind tunnel test and numerical simulation of wind pressure on a high-rise building

We carried out a wind tunnel test to measure cladding loads for a high-rise building of 295 m in height, which would be located in the business center of Chongqing Municipality, P. R. China. The rigid model was used to determine fluctuating local pressures on the exterior surfaces of the building. The wind tunnel test results show the cr/tical zone of wind pressures on building surfaces in both standalone and interference conditions. The computational fluid dynamics （CFD） was conducted by using the FLUENT Code to compare with the wind tunnel test results, and the steady three-dimensional turbulent flow with Realizable k-ε as a turbulence model was used. The CFD results are agree with the wind tunnel test results in regards to distributions of wind pressures over a high-rise building＇s surfaces.
