Bound states in the continuum （BICs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIC is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BICs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIC and Friedrich-Wintgen BIC are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BICs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIC,the merged BIC is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BICs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of Fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

The management of localized breast cancer has changed dramatically over the past three to four *** therapy,which involved lumpectomy followed by adjuvant irradiation,is now widely considered the standard of care in women with early-stage breast *** partial breast irradiation(APBI),which involves focal irradiation of the lumpectomy cavity over a short period of time,has developed over the past two decades as an alternative to whole breast irradiation(WBI).Multiple APBI modalities have been developed including brachytherapy,external beam irradiation,and intraoperative *** new technigues have provided early-stage breast cancer patients with shorter treatment duration and more focused irradiation,delivering very high biological doses to the region at a high risk of failures over a much shorter treatment course as compared with conventional ***,the advantages of APBI over conventional radiotherapy are controversial,including a higher risk of complications reported in retrospective literature and shorter follow-up duration in the intraoperative APBI ***,APBI presents a valuable alternative to WBI for a selected population of women with early-stage breast cancer.

The metabolite lactate (L-lactate) can be generated and released by diverse brain cells,including neurons,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes (Kann,2023;Rae et al.,2024).Lactate production usually requires the degradation of glucose (D-glucose)-and glycogen in astrocytes-to pyruvate by glycolysis and subsequent conversion of pyruvate to lactate by the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase(Figure 1A;Dienel,2019;Rae et al.,2024).

Clustering data streams has drawn lots of attention in the last few years due to their ever-growing presence. Data streams put additional challenges on clustering such as limited time and memory and one pass clustering. Furthermore, discovering clusters with arbitrary shapes is very important in data stream applications. Data streams are infinite and evolving over time, and we do not have any knowledge about the number of clusters. In a data stream environment due to various factors, some noise appears occasionally. Density-based method is a remarkable class in clustering data streams, which has the ability to discover arbitrary shape clusters and to detect noise. Furthermore, it does not need the nmnber of clusters in advance. Due to data stream characteristics, the traditional density-based clustering is not applicable. Recently, a lot of density-based clustering algorithms are extended for data streams. The main idea in these algorithms is using density- based methods in the clustering process and at the same time overcoming the constraints, which are put out by data streanFs nature. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on some algorithms in the literature on density-based clustering over data streams. We not only summarize the main density-based clustering algorithms on data streams, discuss their uniqueness and limitations, but also explain how they address the challenges in clustering data streams. Moreover, we investigate the evaluation metrics used in validating cluster quality and measuring algorithms＇ performance. It is hoped that this survey will serve as a steppingstone for researchers studying data streams clustering, particularly density-based algorithms.

Background:Technical advances in radiotherapy delivery have simultaneously enabled dose escalation and enhanced bladder and rectal ***,the optimal radiation fractionation regimen for localized prostate cancer is *** and clinical evidence suggest that hypofractionation may improve the therapeutic ratio of *** report our institutional outcomes using moderately hypofractionated,intensity-modulated radio-therapy(IMRT),and an endorectal balloon,with emphasis on long-term biochemical control and treatment-related adverse events in patients with localized prostate ***:Between January 1997 and April 2004,596 patients with cT1-T3 prostate cancer underwent IMRT using a moderate hypofractionation regimen(76.70 Gy at 2.19 Gy/fraction)with an endorectal *** D’Amico clas-sification,226(37.9%),264(44.3%),and 106(17.8%)patients had low-,intermediate-,or high-risk disease,*** majority of intermediate-and high-risk patients received androgen deprivation *** relapse-free survival(bRFs)was evaluated using 2005 Phoenix criteria and estimated using the Kaplan-Meier ***:The median follow-up was 62 *** 5-and 10-year bRFs rates were 92.7%and 87.7%.For low-,intermediate-,and high-risk patients,the 5-year bRFs rates were 96.9%,93.3%,and 82.0%,respectively;the 10-year bRFs rates were 91.4%,89.3%,and 76.2%,***-specific antigen,Gleason score,and T stage were significant predictors of bRFs(all Ps of severe(≥Grade 3)adverse events were very low:1.2%for gastrointestinal events and 1.1%for genitourinary ***:Long-term outcomes after moderately hypofractionated IMRT are *** hypofrac-tionation represents a safe,efficacious,alternative regimen in the treatment of localized prostate cancer.

We introduce splitting coverings to enhance the well known analogy between field extensions and covering spaces. semi-topological Galois groups are defined for Weier- strass polynomials and a Galois correspondence is proved. Combining results from braid groups, we solve the topological inverse Galois problem. As an application, symmetric and cyclic groups are realized over Q.

True random number generators(TRNG)are important counterparts to pseudorandom number generators(PRNG).especially for high security applications such as *** produce unpredictable,non-repeatablerandom ***,most TRNGs require specialized hardware to extract entropy from physical phenomena and tend to be slower than *** generators usually require post-processing algorithms to eliminate biases but in *** *** this paper.a newpost-processing method based on hyperchaos is proposed forsoftware-based TRNGs which not only eliminates statisticalbiases but also provides amplification in order to improve the performance of *** proposed method utilizes the inherent characteristics of chaos such as hypersensitivity to input shanugeri,diffusisn,and csnfusion sapabilities to ushievethese *** bits of a physical entropy source areused to perturb the parameters of a hyperchaotic map,which is then iterated to produce a set of random output *** de-pict the feasibility of the proposed post-processing *** is applied in designing TRNGs based on digital *** are analyzed to identify statistical defects in addition to forward and backward *** indicate that the proposed generators are able to produce secure true random sequences at a high throughput,which in turn reflects on the effectiveness of the proposed post-processing method.
