Success of susceptibility-guided eradication of Helicobacter pylori in a region with high secondary clarithromycin and levofloxacin resistance rates

BACKGROUND Resistance to clarithromycin(CLA)and levofloxacin(LFX)of Helicobacter pylori(***)is increasing in severity,and successful eradication is ***,the eradication success rate has greatly declined,leaving a large number of patients with previous treatment *** To investigate secondary resistance rates,explore risk factors for antibiotic resistance,and assess the efficacy of susceptibility-guided *** We recruited 154 subjects positive for Urea Breath Test who attended The First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University between July 2022 and April *** underwent a string test after an overnight *** gastric juice was obtained and transferred to vials containing storage ***,DNA extraction and the specific DNA amplification were performed using quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR).Demographic information was also analyzed as part of the *** on these results,the participants were administered susceptibility-guided *** was compared with that of the empiric treatment *** A total of 132 individuals tested positive for the *** ureA gene by qPCR *** resistance rate reached a high level of 82.6%(n=109),LFX resistance rate was 69.7%(n=92)and dual resistance was 62.1%(n=82).Gastric symptoms[odds ratio(OR)=2.782;95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.076-7.194;P=0.035]and rural residence(OR=5.152;95%CI:1.407-18.861;P=0.013)were independent risk factors for secondary resistance to CLA and LFX,respectively.A total of 102 and 100 individuals received susceptibility-guided therapies and empiric treatment,*** antibiotic susceptibility-guided treatment and empiric treatment groups achieved successful eradication rates of 75.5%(77/102)and 59.0%(59/411)by the intention-to-treat(ITT)analysis and 90.6%(77/85)and 70.2%(59/84)by the per-protocol(PP)analysis,*** eradication rates of these two treatment strategies were significantly

Selective sintering of magnesia-calcia materials by utilizing hot spots during induction sintering process

Magnesia-calcia refractories are widely used in the production process of clean steel due to their excellent high-tem-perature stability,slag resistance and ability to purify molten ***,there are still problems such as difficult sintering and easy ***-calcia materials with various calcium oxide contents were prepared by using induction sintering,and the sintering property combined with the hydration resistance of the materials was *** experimental results showed that the magnesia-calcia materials prepared under induction field had higher density,microhardness and hydration *** particular,the relative density of induction sintered magnesia-calcia materials with 50 mo1%CaO was greater than 98%,and the average grain size of CaO was 4.56μm,which was much larger than that of traditional sintered *** order to clarify the densification and microstructure evolution mechanism of the magnesia-calcia materials,the changes in temperature and magnetic field throughout the sintering process were analyzed by using finite element *** results showed that the larger heating rate and higher sintering temperature under the induction sintering mode were beneficial to the rapid *** addition,the hot spots generated within the material due to the difference in high-temperature electric conductivity between MgO and CaO were the critical factor to realize selective sintering in MgO-CaO system,which provides a novel pathway to solve the problem of difficult sintering and control the microstructure of high-temperature composite material used in the field of high-purity steel smelting.

Intelligent gold nanocluster for effective treatment of malignant tumor via tumor-specific photothermal–chemodynamic therapy with AIE guidance

Precise and efficient therapy of malignant tumors is always a challenge. Herein, gold nanoclusters co-modified by aggregation-induced-emission（AIE） molecules, copper ion chelator（acylthiourea） and tumor-targeting agent（folic acid） were fabricated to perform AIE-guided and tumor-specific synergistic therapy with great spatio-temporal controllability for the targeted elimination and metastasis inhibition of malignant tumors. During therapy, the functional gold nanoclusters（Au NTF） would rapidly accumulate in the tumor tissue due to the enhanced permeability and retention effect as well as folic acid-mediated tumor targeting, which was followed by endocytosis by tumor cells. After that, the overexpressed copper ions in the tumor cells would trigger the aggregation of these intracellular Au NTF via a chelation process that not only generated the photothermal agent in situ to perform the tumor-specific photothermal therapy damaging the primary tumor, but also led to the copper deficiency of tumor cells to inhibit its ***, the copper ions were reduced to cuprous ions along with the chelation, which further catalysed the excess H2O2in the tumor cells to produce cytotoxic reactive oxygen species, resulting in additional chemodynamic therapy for enhanced antitumor efficiency. The aggregation of Au NTF also activated the AIE molecules to present fluorescence, which not only imaged the therapeutic area for real-time monitoring of this tumor-specific synergistic therapy, but also allowed us to perform near-infrared radiation at the correct time point and location to achieve optimal photothermal therapy. Both in vitro and in vivo results revealed the strong tumor elimination, effective metastasis inhibition and high survival rate of tumor-bearing mice after treatment using the Au NTF nanoclusters, indicating that this AIE-guided and tumor-specific synergistic strategy could offer a promising approach for tumor therapy.

Fast Fourier transform convolution neural network accelerator based on overlap addition

In convolutional neural networks（CNNs）， the floating point computation in the traditional convolution layer is enormous， and the execution speed of the network is limited by intensive computing， which makes it challenging to meet the real-time response requirements of complex applications. This work is based on the principle that the time domain convolution result equals the frequency domain dot multiplication result to reduce the amount of floating-point calculations for convolution. The input feature map and the convolution kernel are converted to the frequency domain by the fast Fourier transform（FFT）， and the corresponding dot multiplication is performed. Then the frequency domain result is converted back to the time domain， and the output result of the convolution is obtained. In the shared CNN， the input feature map is much larger than the convolution kernel， resulting in many invalid operations. The overlap addition method is proposed to reduce invalid calculations and speed up network execution better. This work designs a hardware accelerator for frequency domain convolution and verifies its efficiency on the xilinx ZYNQ UltraScale+MPSoC ZCU102 board: comparing the calculation time of Visual Geometry Group16(VGG16) under the ImageNet dataset， compared to traditional convolution accelerators， the hardware acceleration of frequency-domain convolution has improved performance by 8.5 times.

The exploration of ethane(C_(2)H_(6))-selective porous materials for the direct production of polymer-grade ethylene(C_(2)H_(4))from a C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) mixture in a single energy-saving adsorption step is of utmost importance but remains a significant ***,developing robust C_(2)H_(6)-selective adsorbents with high C_(2)H_(6) capacity and C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) selectivity is urgently needed for industrial *** this study,we have successfully designed and synthesized two novel calix[4]resorcinarene-based porous organic cages(POCs)named CPOC-501 and *** POCs were formed via a Schiff-base reaction involving face-directed[6+8]condensation between a bowlshaped tetratopic tetraformylcalix[4]resorcinarene and triangular tritopic amine *** using single crystal X-ray crystallography revealed that both cages possess large truncated octahedral cavities with a volume of approximately 6500Å3 and 12 accessible rhombic windows with a side length of approximately 10.5Å.Furthermore,the cages exhibited excellent chemical stability under neutral,acidic,and basic conditions and high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller specific surface areas of up to 2175 m^(2) g^(−1) after *** POCs demonstrated superior adsorption capabilities for C_(2)H_(6) over C_(2)H_(4).Notably,CPOC-502 exhibited a C_(2)H_(6) capacity and C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) selectivity of 83 cm^(3) g^(−1) and 2.83,respectively,surpassing most of the best-performing C_(2)H_(6)-selective porous organic materials reported to ***,breakthrough experiments confirmed that both cages efficiently produced polymer-grade C_(2)H_(4)(>99.9%)directly from the C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) mixture,highlighting their outstanding recyclability.

The Ailaoshan Orogen in the southeastern Tibet Plateau,situated between the yangtze and Simao blocks,underwent a complex structural,magmatic,and metamorphic evolution resulting in different tectonic subzones with varying structural lineaments and elemental *** elements can conceal or reduce anomalies due to the mutual effect between different anomaly *** the whole zone into subzones based on tectonic settings,ore cluster areas,or sample catchment basins(Scb),geochemical and structural anomalies associated with gold(Au)mineralization have been identified utilizing mean plus twice standard deviations(Mean+2STD),factor analysis(FA),concentration-area(CA)modeling of stream sediment geochemical data,and lineament density in both the Ailaoshan Orogen and the individual *** FA in the divided 98 Scbs with 6 Scbs containing Au deposits can roughly ascertain unknown rock types,identify specific element associations of known rocks and discern the porphyry or skarn-type Au *** with methods of Mean+2STD and C-A model of data in the whole orogen,which mistake the anomalies as background or act the background as anomalies,the combined methods of FA and C-A in the separate subzones or Scbs works well in regional metallogenic potential *** of lineament densities with a 10-km circle diameter is not suitable to locate Au deposits because of the delineated large areas of medium-high lineament *** contrast,the use of circle diameters of 1.3 km or 1.7 km in the ore cluster scale delineates areas with a higher concentration of lineament density,consistent with the locations of known Au *** analyzing the map of faults and Au anomalies,two potential prospecting targets,Scbs 1 and 63 with a sandstone as a potential host rock for Au,have been identified in the Ailaoshan *** use of combined methods in the divided subzones proved to be more effective in improving geological understanding and identifying

Prediction of (n, 2n) reaction cross-sections of long-lived fission products based on tensor model

Interest has recently emerged in potential applications of (n, 2n) reactions of unstable nuclei. Challenges have arisen because of the scarcity of experimental cross-sectional data. This study aims to predict the (n, 2n) reaction cross-section of long-lived fission products based on a tensor model. This tensor model is an extension of the collaborative filtering algorithm used for nuclear data. It is based on tensor decomposition and completion to predict (n, 2n) reaction cross-sections; the corresponding EXFOR data are applied as training data. The reliability of the proposed tensor model was validated by comparing the calculations with data from EXFOR and different databases. Iron sites in both nitrogenase enzymes and chemical catalysis for N fixation are typically at constrained distances and angles. Herein,we report one-electron reduction reaction realized by constrained diiron dinitrogen cores.[4] Using the semicircular bis（β-diketiminate） ligand,a series of diiron dinitrogen complexes were synthesized,in which the N groups were allowed to bind with Fe-Ct-Fe angles ranging from 154° to 158°(Ct=centroid of N).
