Amorphous Iridium Oxide-Integrated Anode Electrodes with Ultrahigh Material Utilization for Hydrogen Production at Industrial Current Densities

Herein,ionomer-free amorphous iridium oxide(IrO_(x))thin electrodes are first developed as highly active anodes for proton exchange membrane electrolyzer cells(PEMECs)via low-cost,environmentally friendly,and easily scalable electrodeposition at room *** with a Nafion 117 membrane,the IrO_(x)-integrated electrode with an ultralow loading of 0.075 mg cm^(-2)delivers a high cell efficiency of about 90%,achieving more than 96%catalyst savings and 42-fold higher catalyst utilization compared to commercial catalyst-coated membrane(2 mg cm^(-2)).Additionally,the IrO_(x)electrode demonstrates superior performance,higher catalyst utilization and significantly simplified fabrication with easy scalability compared with the most previously reported ***,the remarkable performance could be mainly due to the amorphous phase property,sufficient Ir^(3+)content,and rich surface hydroxide groups in ***,due to the high activity,high cell efficiency,an economical,greatly simplified and easily scalable fabrication process,and ultrahigh material utilization,the IrO_(x)electrode shows great potential to be applied in industry and accelerates the commercialization of PEMECs and renewable energy evolution.

High-temperature polymer-based nanocomposites for high energy storage performance with robust cycling stability

High-power capacitors are highly demanded in advanced electronics and power systems,where rising concerns on the operating temperatures have evoked the attention on developing highly reliable high-temperature dielectric ***,polyetherimide(PEI)filled with highly insulating Al_(2)O_(3)(AO)nanoparticles dielectric composite films have been fabricated aiming for high thermal stability and reliability operated under high cycling electric field and elevated *** room temperature,incorporating a small fraction of 0.5 vol%AO nanoparticles gives rise to a highest discharged energy density(U_(e))of 5.57 J·cm^(-3)and efficiency(η)of 90.9%at650 MV·m^(-1),and a robust cycling stability up to 10^(7) cycles at 400 MV·m^(-1).Due to the substantially reduced dielectric loss,2.0 vol%AO/PEI nanocomposite film exhibits excellent high-temperature capacitive performances,delivering U_(e)~7.33 J·cm^(-3)withη~88.8%under 700 MV·m^(-1),and cycling stability up to 10^(6) cycles under 400 MV·m^(-1)at 100℃,and U_(e)~5.57 J·cm^(-3)withη~84.7%under 620 MV·m^(-1)at 150℃.Molecular dynamic simulations are performed to understand the microscopic mechanism via revealing the polymer relaxation process in the AO/PEI composite at elevated *** results are therefore very encouraging for high-temperature high-power capacitor application.

The quantitative understanding of hydraulic fracture(HF)properties guides accurate production forecasts and reserve *** curve is a powerful technique to characterize HF and reservoir properties from flowback and long-term production ***,two-phase flow of water and hydrocarbon after an HF stimulation together with the complex transport mechanisms in shale nanopores exacerbate the nonlinearity of the transport equation,causing errors in type-curve ***,we propose a new two-phase type-curve method to estimate HF properties,such as HF volume and permeability of fracture,through the analysis of flowback data of multi-fractured shale *** proposed type curve is based on a semianalytical solution that couples the two-phase flow from the matrix with the flow in HF by incorporating matrix influx,slippage effect,stress dependence,and the spatial variation of fluid properties in inorganic and organic *** the first time,multiple fluid transport mechanisms are considered into two-phase type-curve analysis for shale *** analyze the flowback data from a multi-fractured horizontal well in a shale gas reservoir to verify the field application of the proposed *** results show that the fracture properties calculated by the type-curve method are in good agreement with the long-time production data.

Detection of maneuvering small targets has always been an important yet challenging task for radar signal *** primary reason is that target variable motions within coherent processing interval generate energy migrations across multiple resolution bins,which severely deteriorate the parameter estimation performance.A coarse-to-fine strategy for the detection of maneuvering small targets is *** of small points segmented coherently is performed first,and then an optimal inter-segment integration is utilized to derive the coarse estimation of the chirp *** fractional Fourier transform(FrFT)is then employed to refine the coarse estimation at a significantly reduced computational *** results verify the proposed scheme that achieves an efficient and reliable maneuvering target detection with-16dB input signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),while requires no exact a priori knowledge on the motion parameters.

Achieving high-efficient photocatalytic persulfate-activated degradation of tetracycline via carbon dots modified MIL-101(Fe)octahedrons

The synergistic reaction of photocatalysis and advanced oxidation is a valid strategy for the degradation of harmful antibiotic ***,carbon dots(CDs)modified MIL-101(Fe)octahedrons to form CDs/MIL-101(Fe)composite photocatalyst was synthesized for visible light-driven photocatalytic/persulfate(PS)-activated tetracycline(TC)*** electron spin resonance(ESR)spectra,scavenging experiment and electrochemical analysis were carried out to reveal that the high visible light-driven photocatalytic degradation activity of TC over CDs/MIL-101(Fe)photocatalysts is not only ascribed to the production of free active radicals in the CDs/MIL-101(Fe)/PS system(·OH,·SO_(4-),^(1)O_(2),h^(+)and·O_(2)^(-))but also attributed to the consumption of electrons caused by the PS,which can suppress the recombination of photo-generated carriers as well as strong light scattering and electron trapping effects of ***,the possible degradation pathways were proposed by analyzing intermediates via liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry *** research presents a rational design conception to construct a CDs/PS-based photocatalysis/advanced oxidation technology with high-efficient degradation activity for the remediation of organic antibiotic pollutant wastewater and for the improvement of carrier transport kinetics of photocatalysts.

Microneedle patch loaded with ferritin-nanocaged doxorubicin for locally targeted drug delivery and efficient skin cancer treatment

Robust cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning via multi-view message certification

Many multi-agent scenarios require message sharing among agents to promote coordination,hastening the robustness of multi-agent communication when policies are deployed in a message perturbation environment. Major relevant studies tackle this issue under specific assumptions, like a limited number of message channels would sustain perturbations, limiting the efficiency in complex scenarios. In this paper,we take a further step in addressing this issue by learning a robust cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning via multi-view message certification, dubbed CroMAC. Agents trained under CroMAC can obtain guaranteed lower bounds on state-action values to identify and choose the optimal action under a worst-case deviation when the received messages are perturbed. Concretely, we first model multi-agent communication as a multi-view problem, where every message stands for a view of the state. Then we extract a certificated joint message representation by a multi-view variational autoencoder(MVAE) that uses a product-of-experts inference network. For the optimization phase, we do perturbations in the latent space of the state for a certificate guarantee. Then the learned joint message representation is used to approximate the certificated state representation during training. Extensive experiments in several cooperative multi-agent benchmarks validate the effectiveness of the proposed CroMAC.

Optimized tillage methods increase mechanically transplanted rice yield and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions

Biaxia lrotary tillage in dryland(DBRT)can complete biaxial rotary tillage with straw incorporation,secondary suppression,and ditching,and it has been previously studied in direct-seeded rice and ***,the effects of DBRT on the mechanically transplanted rice yield and greenhouse gas emissions remain *** evaluate the effects of DBRT on improving the food security of mechanically transplanted rice and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions,we conducted an experiment for two years with wheat straw *** tillage methods were set up:DBRT,uniaxial rotary tillage in dryland and paddy(DPURT),and uniaxial rotary tillage in paddy(PURT).The results showed that compared with DPURT and PURT,DBRT increased the yield of machine-transplanted rice by 7.5-11.0%and 13.3-26.7%,respectively,while the seasonal cumulative CH_(4) emissions were reduced by 13.9-21.2%and 30.2-37.0%,respectively,and the seasonal cumulative N_(2)O emissions were increased by 13.5-28.6%and 50.0-73.1%,***,DBRT reduced the global warming potential by 10.7-15.5%and 23.7-28.6%,respectively,andtheyield-scaledglobalwarmingpotentialby18.2-21.8%and36.4-39.3%,respectively,compared to DPURT and *** results were mainly related to the fact that DBRT significantly reduced soil bulk density and increased soil redox potential(Eh).Therefore,implementing DBRT in machine-transplanted rice fields is feasible,which cannot only increase the rice yield,but also reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.

Efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture for insomnia:A systematic review and meta-analysis
