Objective: The aim of the work described here was to eval.ate the rol. of contrast-enhanced ul.rasound (CEUS) in response eval.ation for unresectabl. advanced hepatocel.ul.r carcinoma (HCC) treated with ty.osine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) pl.s anti-programmed cel. death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody.therapy. Methods: A prospective cohort of consecutive patients with HCC who received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody.treatment for unresectabl. HCC between January.2022 and October 2022 was incl.ded in this study. The patients underwent unenhanced ul.rasound (US) and CEUS examinations before treatment and at fol.ow-up. Changes in the l.rgest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanced US and the l.rgest diameters of the enhancing target tumors on CEUS were eval.ated. Response Eval.ation Criteria in Sol.d Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 with unenhanced US and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomography.(MRI/CT) and modified RECIST (mRECIST) with CEUS and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment response. Resul.s: A total.of 24 HCC patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y. Barcel.na Cl.nic l.ver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic target tumors) were studied. Cal.ul.tions of degree of necrosis in the target tumors reveal.d no significant differences between CEUS and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between RECIST version 1.1 of unenhanced US and mRECIST-CEUS was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwhil., there was a high degree of concordance between mRECIST-CEUS and mRECIST-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Concl.sion: CEUS proved to be superior to basel.ne US and is comparabl. to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody.therapy. © 2023 Worl. Icing al.ay. threatens the safe operation of power sy.tem. In the past few decades, researchers have taken various measures to prevent the icing on the surface of power equipments, but these measures can not fundamental.y.sol.e this probl.m. Due to its unique micro-nano structure and l.w surface energy.material., superhy.rophobic coating can del.y.icing and reduce the adhesion abil.ty.of surface ice at l.w temperature. Therefore, started with the anti-icing mechanism of superhy.rophobic coating, this paper focuses on the experimental.research status of anti-icing of superhy.rophobic coating at home and abroad, divides the factors affecting the anti-icing performance into environmental.factors and substrate factors, anal.0}es the l.mitations of the current schemes, and expounds the l.test design and preparation progress on improving the mechanical.robustness of superhy.rophobic coating. Final.y. the probl.ms existing in the appl.cation of superhy.rophobic coating in power sy.tem and the future devel.pment direction are put forward. This review is hel.ful.for researchers to establ.sh test specifications for eval.ating the anti-icing performance of superhy.rophobic coatings and promote their appl.cation in power sy.tem. © 2024 Material. Mul.ifiel. coupl.ng is frequentl.0}encountered and al.o an active area of research in geotechnical.engineering.In this work,a particl.-resol.ed direct numerical.simul.tion(PR-DNS)technique is extended to simul.te particl.-fl.id interaction probl.ms invol.ing heat transfer at the grain l.vel.In this extended technique,an immersed moving boundary.IMB)scheme is used to coupl. the discrete el.ment method(DEM)and l.ttice Bol.zmann method(l.M),whil. a recentl.0}proposed Dirichl.t-ty.e thermal.boundary.condition is al.o adapted to account for heat transfer between fl.id phase and sol.d particl.s.The resul.ing DEM-IBM-l.M model.is robust to simul.te moving curved boundaries with constant temperature in thermal.fl.ws.To facil.tate the understanding and impl.mentation of this coupl.d model.for non-isothermal.probl.ms,a compl.te l.st is given for the conversion of rel.vant phy.ical.variabl.s to l.ttice units.Then,benchmark tests,incl.ding a singl.-particl. sedimentation and a two-particl. drafting-kissing-tumbl.ng(DKT)simul.tion with heat transfer,are carried out to val.date the accuracy.of our coupl.d technique.To further investigate the rol. of heat transfer in particl.-l.den fl.ws,two mul.ipl.-particl. probl.ms with heat transfer are performed.Numerical.exampl.s demonstrate that the proposed coupl.ng model.is a promising high-resol.tion approach for simul.ting the heat-particl.-fl.id coupl.ng at the grain l.vel.

Effects of Pl.nting Patterns on Starch Content and Activities of Key.Starch Enzy.es in Rice Grains

(Objective) The objective of this study.was to investigate the effects of different pl.nting methods on starch formation and key.enzy.e activities in rice grains, aiming to provide insights for improving direct seeding techniques for rice cul.ivation in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.(Methods) The experiment was conducted at the original.seed farm of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from 2020 to 2021. Fuy.an 4 (Fy.), Ningjing 28 (NJ28), Ningjing 43 (NJ43), and Ningjing 50 (NJ50) were sel.cted as experimental.material.. Soil.moisture conservation, dry.direct seeding (Z1), watering after sowing (Z2), and transpl.nting (Z3) were chosen as pl.nting methods. A spl.t-zone design was empl.y.d to study.the effects of pl.nting methods on rice y.el., starch content, and key.enzy.e activities.(Resul.s) Under different pl.nting methods, direct-seeded rice exhibited higher amy.ose content and total.starch content, whil. transpl.nted rice showed higher amy.opectin content. The total.starch content fol.owed the order: Z2?> Z1?> Z3, whil. the amy.opectin content fol.owed the order: Z3?> Z2?> Z1. In 2021, the highest amy.ose content of NJ28 under Z1 pl.nting mode was 21.90%, whil. the highest amy.opectin content of NJ28 under Z3 pl.nting mode was 51.64%. Starch sy.thesis and accumul.tion in grains are primaril.0}infl.enced by.the activity.of key.enzy.es in starch sy.thesis. Compared to Z3, Z1 and Z2 significantl.0}reduced the activities of AGP and GBSS. Transpl.nting notabl.0}increased UGP and SBE activities of Fy. and NJ43, whil. direct seeding increased UGP and SBE activities of NJ28 and NJ50. Additional.y. under different pl.nting methods, Z1 significantl.0}increased the activity.of SSS enzy.e. Deep bed fil.ration model.for cake fil.ration and erosion

Many.phenomena in nature and technol.gy.are associated with the fil.ration of suspensions and col.oids in porous media. Two main ty.es of particl. deposition,namel.0} cake fil.ration at the inl.t and deep bed fil.ration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by.different model.. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particl.s based on the deep bed fil.ration model.is proposed. A variabl. suspension fl.w rate, proportional.to the number of free pores at the inl.t of the porous medium, is considered. To model.cake fil.ration, this fl.w rate is introduced into the mass bal.nce equation of deep bed fil.ration. For the cake fil.ration without deposit erosion,the suspension fl.w rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake fil.ration with erosion, the suspension fl.w rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact sol.tion is obtained for a constant fil.ration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asy.ptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particl.s for a fil.ration function in a general.form. Expl.cit formul.e are obtained for a l.near fil.ration function. The properties of these sol.tions are studied in detail.

Pesticides and its degradation products,being wel.–known residues in soil.have recentl.0}been detected in many.water bodies as pol.utants of emerging concerns,and thus there is a contemporary.demand to devel.p viabl. and cost–effective techniques for the removal.of rel.ted organic pol.utants in aqueous phases.Herein,a visibl.-l.ght-responsive Fenton sy.tem was constructed with iron–doped bismuth oxy.romides(Fe–BiOBr)as the catal.0}ts.Taking the advantage of sustainabl. Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)conversion and optimized H_(2)O_(2)util.zation,the optimal.Fe–BiOBr–2 catal.0}t showed an excel.ent atrazine removal.efficiency.of 97.61%in 120 min,which is superior than the traditional.homogeneous Fenton and the majority.of heterogeneous processes documented in the l.terature.In this photo–Fenton sy.tem,hy.roxy.(·OH)and superoxide(·O_(2)^(-))radical. were dominant active species contributed to the oxidative degradation of atrazine.Due to the production of various active radical.,five degradation pathway. were proposed based on the identification of intermediates and degradation products.Overal.,this work not onl.0}demonstrates a fundamental.insight into creating highl.0}efficient and atom economic photo-Fenton sy.tems,but al.o provides a compl.mentary.strategy.for the treatment of organic pol.utants in water.

Recentl.0}deep l.arning has y.el.ed transformative success across optics and photonics,especial.y.in optical.metrol.gy.Deep neural.networks (DNNs) with a ful.y.convol.tional.architecture (e.g.,U-Net and its derivatives) have been widel.0}impl.mented in an end-to-end manner to accompl.sh various optical.metrol.gy.tasks,such as fringe denoising,phase unwrapping,and fringe anal.0}is.However,the task of training a DNN to accuratel.0}identify.an image-to-image transform from massive input and output data pairs seems at best naive,as the phy.ical.l.ws governing the image formation or other domain expertise pertaining to the measurement have not y.t been ful.y.expl.ited in current deep l.arning practice.To this end,we introduce a phy.ics-informed deep l.arning method for fringe pattern anal.0}is (PI-FPA) to overcome this l.mit by.integrating a l.ghtweight DNN with a l.arning-enhanced Fourier transform profil.metry.(l. FTP) modul..By.parameterizing conventional.phase retrieval.methods,the l. FTP modul. embeds the prior knowl.dge in the network structure and the l.ss function to directl.0}provide rel.abl. phase resul.s for new ty.es of sampl.s,whil. circumventing the requirement of col.ecting a l.rge amount of high-qual.ty.data in supervised l.arning methods.Guided by.the initial.phase from l. Impact of effective stress on permeabil.ty.for carbonate fractured-vuggy.rocks

To gain insight into the fl.w mechanisms and stress sensitivity.for fractured-vuggy.reservoirs,several.core model. with different structural.characteristics were designed and fabricated to investigate the impact of effective stress on permeabil.ty.for carbonate fractured-vuggy.rocks(CFVR).It shows that the permeabil.ty.performance curves under different pore and confining pressures(i.***.al.ered stress conditions)for the fractured core model. and the vuggy.core model. have simil.r change patterns.The ranges of permeabil.ty.variation are significantl.0}wider at high pore pressures,indicating that permeabil.ty.reduction is the most significant during the earl.0}stage of devel.pment for fractured-vuggy.reservoirs.Since each obtained effective stress coefficient for permeabil.ty.ESCP)varies with the changes in confining pressure and pore pressure,the effective stresses for permeabil.ty.of four representative CFVR show obvious nonl.near characteristics,and the variation ranges of ESCP are al. between 0 and 1.Meanwhil.,a comprehensive ESCP mathematical.model.considering tripl. media,incl.ding matrix pores,fractures,and dissol.ed vugs,was proposed.It is proved theoretical.y.that the ESCP of CFVR general.y.varies between 0 and 1.Additional.y.the regression resul.s showed that the power model.ranked highest among the four empirical.model. mainl.0}appl.ed in stress sensitivity.characterization,fol.owed by.the l.garithmic model.exponential.model.and binomial.model.The concept of“permeabil.ty.decl.ne rate”was introduced to better eval.ate the stress sensitivity.performance for CFVR,in which the one-fracture rock is the strongest,fol.owed by.the fracture-vug rock and two-horizontal.racture rock;the through-hol. rock is the weakest.In general.this study.provides a theoretical.basis to guide the design of devel.pment and adjustment programs for carbonate fractured-vuggy.reservoirs.
