Background:A high prevalence of diabetes mellitus(DM)coexisting with autoimmune pancreatitis(AIP)is observed.However,evidence on the circumstances under which corticosteroid therapy(CST)for AIP improves or worsens DM is scarce.This study aimed to demonstrate and identify predictors of DM control under the influence of CST.Methods:Patients diagnosed with type 1 AIP were enrolled from a prospectively maintained cohort and were classified into three groups according to the chronology in which AIP and DM were diagnosed:pre-existing DM(pDM),concurrent DM(cDM),and non-DM(nDM).The responses of DM to CST were assessed when corticosteroid was ceased or tapered to a maintenance dose and classified as‘improvement’and‘non-improvement’(including‘no change’and‘exacerbation’).Results:Among 101 patients with type 1 AIP,52(51.5%)patients were complicated with DM at the time of AIP diagnosis,with 36 patients in the cDM group and 16 patients in the pDM group.The incidences of diffuse pancreatic swelling(72.2%)and pancreatic body/tail involvement(91.7%)were significantly higher in the cDM group than in both the pDM and nDM groups.Of the 52 patients with DM,CST was administered in 48 cases.Multivariate logistic analysis identified that elevated serum gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT)level at AIP diagnosis[odds ratio(OR)=0.032,95%confidence interval(CI):0.003-0.412,P=0.008]and pancreatic atrophy after CST(OR=0.027,95%CI:0.003-0.295,P=0.003)were negatively associated with DM control improvement.Conclusions:Patients with diffuse pancreatic swelling and pancreatic body/tail involvement in pancreatitis tended to be complicated with cDM at AIP diagnosis.CST exerted a beneficial effect on the clinical course of DM in nearly half of the AIP patients complicated with DM at diagnosis,particularly in those without elevated serum GGT levels at diagnosis and who did not experience pancreatic atrophy after CST.

To analyze the magnetic properties of Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B compound under high pressure,an improved two-sublattice molecular field model coupled with equivalent stress field was applied to study the effect of pressure on magnetization,magnetostriction coefficient,susceptibility and Curie temperature.The calculation results show that the pressure has a stronger effect on the magnetization of Fe sublattice compared to that of Nd sublattice at varied temperatures when the external magnetic field is parallel to the alignment direction.Saturated magnetization,initial susceptibility and magnetic moment of Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B compound are found to decrease gradually with pressure increasing,and the Curie temperature of Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B decreases to about 298 K under an applied pressure of 1.15 GPa.The results suggest that the pressure-induced magnetic phase transition of Nd2Fe14B occurs under 1.15 GPa at room temperature.

In October 2022, the magnetar SGR J1935+2154 entered the active outburst state. During the episode, the InsightHXMT satellite carried out a long observation that lasted for 20 days. More than 300 bursts were detected, and a certain amount of persistent radiation signals were also accumulated. This paper mainly introduces the results of persistent radiation profile folding and period search based on Insight-HXMT data. At the same time, the burst phase distribution characteristics, spectral lag results of burst, the spectral characteristics of zero-lag bursts and the time-resolved spectral evolution characteristics of high-flux bursts are reported. We found that there is no significant delay feature during different energy bands for the bursts of SGR J1935+2154. The observed zero-lag burst does not have a unique spectrum. The time-resolved spectrum of the individual burst has consistent spectral types and spectral parameters at different time periods of the burst. We also find that the burst number phase distribution and the burst photon phase distribution have the same tendency to concentrate in specific regions of the persistent emission profile.

The geometries and electronic structures of a series of electron donor-acceptor radical molecules have been studied theoretically.The computational results show that the introduction of substituents with strong electron donating ability into tri-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl(TTM)radicals enables the radical molecules to form the non-Aufbau electronic structure.The difficulty of forming the non-Aufbau electronic structure decreases with the enhancement of the electron donating ability of the substituent,but the expansion of the molecular conjugated system is not conducive to the formation.The hybridization of different fragments in molecular orbitals results in the disproportionation of orbital energy level and forms a staggered energy level structure.The electronic structure of radical molecules can be adjusted by substituents and molecular skeleton profoundly,which is a very effective means for molecular design.

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949,significant achievements have been made in cotton production in China.China has maintained its position as the world’s largest cotton producer for 33 years(1983–2015),with average annual increases of 3.5 and 3.9% in the unit yield and total output of cotton,respectively.Cotton production has played an extremely important role in the development of the national economy and the improvement of living standards.Although the cotton planting area has been reduced in recent years,the total output has remained relatively unchanged due to the continuous increase in the unit yield.China’s dominant position in global cotton production is undoubtedly attributed to the progress and development of cotton cultivation technology.Over the past 70 years,China has established a high-yielding and high-efficiency cotton cultivation mode that corresponds to its national conditions,including a large population and a limited land area.Furthermore,cotton cultivation technology is constantly being innovated and developed to keep pace with the times.In this paper,we review the development of cotton production and cultivation in China over the past 70 years,with a particular focus on the innovation and development of cotton cultivation technology with Chinese characteristics.This review is intended to provide guidance for the sustainable development of China’s cotton production in the future and to provide a reference for global cotton production.

The energy density of Li-ion batteries is closely related to the capacity and average voltage of cathode materials.Unfortunately,current cathode materials either have low capacity or voltage,which limits the development of high-energy-density Li-ion batteries.This has given challenge to many attempts to develop new cathode materials with high capacity and voltage.In this study,we find that Li easily inserts into the(111)plane of SiC in the presence of Si,and a well-organized Li-rich SiC twin crystal is formed.Ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectra and electrochemical test results suggest that this Li-rich SiC twin crystal possesses the band gap energy of 3.5 eV and charging capacity of 1979 mAh/g at the current density of 200 mA/g,making it a promising candidate for the cathode material in high-capacity Li-ion batteries.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy results reveal that Si-induced Li insertion contributes to the changes in the surface species and structure of pristine SiC.These findings suggest that the Li-rich SiC twin crystal raises new possibilities for the development of high-capacity cathode materials and merits further investigation to expand its application scope.

Neural network-based model predictive control with fuzzy-SQP optimization for direct thrust control of turbofan engine

A nonlinear model predictive control method based on fuzzy-Sequential Quadratic Programming(SQP)for direct thrust control is proposed in this paper for the sake of improving the accuracy of thrust control.The designed control system includes four parts,namely a predictive model,rolling optimization,online correction,and feedback correction.Considering the strong nonlinearity of engine,a predictive model is established by Back Propagation(BP)neural network for the entire flight envelope,whose input and output are determined with random forest algorithm and actual situation analysis.Rolling optimization typically uses SQP as the optimization algorithm,but SQP algorithm is easy to trap into local optimization.Therefore,the fuzzy-SQP algorithm is proposed to prevent this disadvantage using fuzzy algorithm to determine the initial value of SQP.In addition to the traditional three parts of model predictive control,an online correction module is added to improve the predictive accuracy of the predictive model in the predictive time domain.Simulation results show that the BP predictive model can reach a certain degree of predictive accuracy,and the proposed control system can achieve good tracking performance with the limited parameters within the safe range。

The water pollution derived from the discharge of heavy metals,antibiotics,dyes and surfactants wastewater,etc.has seriously affected human survival and ecological security.As an efficient and low-cost physical wastewater treatment process,the adsorption is a continuous hot spot in related scientific research and applications.Geopolymers are non-crystal or semi-crystalline materials with high-efficiency adsorption performance due to the alkali metal ions that balance the electronegative aluminosilicate skeleton can be efficiently replaced by other cations in the aqueous environment.The related studies of different application conditions,service objects and morphological differences of geopolymer adsorbents based on structure-function design have been in-depth exploration and investigation.This review aims to summarize the research progres s of the structure-function design based on the geopolymerization mechanism and kinetics and service requirements.An overview of service characteristics and progress of geopolymers in the wastewater treatment field(e.g.,dyes,heavy metals,radionuclides,surfactants,antibiotics,ammonium,phosphorus,nitrogen and CO_(2),etc.)are systematically discussed.And the evolution and development of morphological differences and the relationship of structure-function design of geopolymer adsorbents were compared and reviewed.Finally,the challenge worth overcoming,the trends worth considering and perspectives worth developing are highlighted.

International ports play critical roles in maintaining transportation flows and sustaining the effectiveness of global maritime logistics.Although the concept of versatile ports has been introduced to represent the specific patterns that these ports play at the regional and global levels,there is still a need for the design and development of computational approaches that support these notions.This paper introduces a flexible multi-layer network approach for an international maritime network whose interest is that it offers a flexible model that favours the identification of the different transportation flows and versatile ports.The model is complemented by a series of structural indices complemented by a new overlap measure that evaluates the specific role of a given port across various transportation trades.The whole approach is implemented and experimented with using massive AIS maritime data that supports the automatic generation of the multi-layer network,and derivation of the structural measures while maintaining a flexible view of the maritime network.The experiments applied to the global maritime transportation network identify key versatile ports and highlight significant differences at the regional and trade flow levels.
