This study is based on the hypothesis that the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management(IWRM)tools in the Oueme watershed has not led to a systematic improvement in the degree of IWRM implementation in the Oueme Valley in ***,data were collected through a semi-structured survey of stakeholder families in the study area using snowball *** tool used was the form developed by the United Nations to collect data to assess the level of IWRM *** four(4)assessment criteria,each covering a key component of IWRM,are the enabling environment,institutions and participation,management tools and *** results obtained per criteria according to the stepwise methodology adopted reveal on average a degree of implementation of 40 on a scale of 0 to 100 in the Oueme *** value varies according to the geographical area and the factors *** study,which is a decision-making tool,provides a guide for governments to monitor the progress of integrated water resources management in their territory.

Background:Emerging epidemiological evidence suggests that compared to engaging in 1 activity mode alone,a combination of moderate-tovigorous physical activity(MVPA:brisk walking/jogging,cycling)and muscle-strengthening exercise(MSE:push-ups/sit-ups,using weight machines)has more favorable associations with optimal weight ***,few studies have examined the dose-dependent and joint associations of MVPA and MSE with ***:Based on cross-sectional analyses of the European Health Interview Survey Wave 2(2013-2014),we examined prevalence ratios(PRs)of joint and stratified associations between MVPA(4 categories:(ⅰ)0 min/week,(ⅱ)1-149 min/week,(ⅲ)150-299 min/week,and(ⅳ)≥300 min/week)and MSE(3 categories:(ⅰ)0 day/week,(ⅱ)1 day/week,and(ⅲ)>2 days/week)with body mass index-defined obesity(body mass index of>30.0 kg/m2)using Poisson regression with robust error *** were examined unadjusted and adjusted for sociodemographic and lifestyle characteristics(e.g.,sex,age,education,income,and smoking status).Results:Data were available for 280,456 adults(≥18 years),of which 46,166(15.5%)were *** interaction MVPA x MSE guideline adherence was statistically significant for obesity(p≤0.05).The joint MVPA-MSE analysis showed that compared to the reference group(i.e.,no MVPA and no MSE),the PRs followed a dose-dependent pattern,with the lowest observed among those reporting≥150 MVPA min/week and≥1 MSE days/week(PR:0.43;95%confidence interval:0.41-0.46).When stratified across each MVPA strata,the PRs were mostly lower among those engaging in MSE 1 day/week,as compared to those doing MSE≥2 days/***:"There was evidence for a dose-dependent association between joint MVPA-MSE with a reduced prevalence of *** health strategies for the prevention and management of obesity should recommend both MVPA and MSE.

In the Peninsular Malaysia and Northern Borneo island of Malaysia, various rich indigenous leafy vegetables and fruits grow and contribute to the nutritional and dietary values of the population. They have high water contents, thus, naturally vulnerable to rapid food spoilage. Food preservation and processing play a vital role in the inhibition of food pathogens in fruits and vegetables that are prevalent in Malaysia. Lactic acid fermentation is generally a local-based bioprocess, among the oldest form and well-known for food-processing techniques among indigenous people there. The long shelf life of fermented vegetables and fruits improves their nutritional values and antioxidant potentials. Fermented leaves and vegetables can be utilized as a potential source of probiotics as they are host for several lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus confusus, Weissella paramesenteroides, Enterococcus faecalis, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus buchneri, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus pentosus, Pediococcus acidilactici, Pediococcus pentosaceus and Leuconostoc mesenteroides. These strains may be more viable in metabolic systems whereby they can contribute to a substantial increase in essential biologically active element than industrial starter cultures. This review is aimed to address some essential fermented fruits and vegetables in Malaysia and their remarkable reputations as a potential sources of natural probiotics.

Purpose–Over the past decade,the cost of product development has increased drastically,and this is due to the inability of most enterprises to locate suitable and optimal collaborators for knowledge ***,knowledge sharing is a mechanism that helps people find the best collaborators with relevant ***,a new approach for locating optimal collaborators with relevant knowledge is needed,which couldhelp enterprisein reducingcost andtime ina *** aimsto discuss these ***/methodology/approach–One unique challenge in the domain of knowledge sharing is that collaborators do not possess the same number of events resident in the knowledge available for *** this paper,the authors present a new approach for locating optimal collaborators in knowledge-sharing environment using the combinatorial algorithm(CA-KSE).Findings–The proposed pattern-matching approach implemented in Java is considered efficient for solving the issue peculiar to collaboration in knowledge-sharing *** authors benchmarked the proposed approach with its semi-global pairwise alignment and global alignment counterparts through scores comparison and the receiver operating characteristic *** results obtained from the comparisons showedthat CA-KSEis a perfect test havinganarea undercurveof 0.9659,comparedto the other *** limitations/implications–The paper has proposed an efficient algorithm,which is considered better than related methods,for matching several collaborators(more than two)in KS *** method could be deployed in medical field for gene analysis,software organizations for distributed development and academics for knowledge ***/value–One sign of strength of this approach,compared to most sequence alignment approaches that can only match two collaborators at a time,is that it can match several collaborators at a faster rate.

The pervasive seasonal flooding,aquifer contamination,and saline water intrusion in parts of Lagos are some of the long-term effects of land subsidence caused by the excessive groundwater exploitation and land reclamation that has been taking place in the *** to monitor the extent and pattern of land deformation will help in many ways to mitigate the effects of flooding and other geohazards associated with land *** this study,we characterised and mapped the land subsidence in the Lagos city based on the analyses of geodetic data,which included Global Positioning Satellite(GPS),Envisat,Sentinel-1,and GRACE *** applied the SBAS technique to the Envisat and Sentinel-1 datasets acquired from 2004-2011 and 2015-2019,respectively,and to perform multi-temporal analyses and produce corresponding subsidence maps over the Lagos *** GRACE data were used to infer the extent and trend of groundwater changes at the GPS *** results indicate that the subsidence is a widespread phenomenon in Lagos city,with subsidence rates varying between-2 mm/year and-87 mm/*** highest subsidence rate was observed around the coastal zones and areas where heavy structures are built on *** the highest rate at present,subsidence has gradually increased in the last 15 *** the development of indiscriminate groundwater exploitation,urbanization,and rapid population growth,the subsidence rate in Lagos city is likely to rise significantly in the coming years,which,in turn,may further escalate the flood rate and other associated geohazards.

Highly efficient and stable hybrid white organic light-emitting diodes （HWOLEDs） with a mixed bipolar interlayer between fluorescent blue and phosphorescent yellow emitting layers are demonstrated. The bipolar interlayer is a mixture of p-type diphenyl （l0-phenyl-lOH-spiro [acridine-9,9＇-fluoren]-3Lyl） phosphine oxide and n-type 2＇,2- （1,3,5-benzinetriyl）-tris（1-phenyl-l-H-benzimidazole）. The electroluminance and Commission Internationale de l＇Eclairage （CIE1931） coordinates＇ characteristics can be modulated easily by adjusting the ratio of the hole- predominated material to the electron-predominated material in the interlayer. The hybrid WOLED with a p-type：n-type ratio of 1：3 shows a maximum current efficiency and power efficiency of 61.1 ed/A and 55.8 lm/W, respectively, with warm white CIE coordinates of （0.34, 0.43）. The excellent efficiency and adaptive CIE coordi- nates are attributed to the mixed interlayer with improved charge carrier balance, optimized exciton distribution, and enhanced harvesting of singlet and triplet excitons.

Geostatistical evaluation of spatial variability of land subsidence rates in Lagos, Nigeria

Accurate land subsidence prediction is fundamental for effective management of land subsidence and other associated geohazards. Lagos, the most densely populated city in Nigeria, has been adversely affected by widespread land subsidence. Previous studies have largely been restricted to analyzing space geodetic technique data. Unfortunately, this technique imposes spatial limitations resulting in incomplete coverage of the study areas due to atmospheric effects, orbital satellite characteristics, or surface characteristics. The application of geostatistics to georeferenced data obtained from space-based measurements can reliably provide complete information on spatial variability. The objective of this study is to provide an overview of current subsidence rates and to assess the spatial variability of land subsidence in the study area by using geostatistics that integrate semivariogram and ordinary kriging. The study area was partitioned into eight subregions;for each subregion, the experimental variogram was determined from the observed data and fitted to the optimal models. Seven subregions were fitted to exponential models and one was fitted to the spherical model. The model semivariograms were used in the kriging analysis to estimate the spatial variability of subsidence rates. The results showed that the nugget-to-sill ratio lies between 44 and 70%, indicating that the spatial variation of subsidence rates at the scale under study is moderately distributed and the mechanism of deformation is similar. The nugget effect of the subsidence rate is between 0.25 and 0.75, indicating that subsidence rates are influenced by various contributions. The predicted spatial variability of subsidence rates by Ordinary Kriging presents reliable values of R-squared(0.32 e0.42) and RMSE(0.21 e0.30). This study assessed the effectiveness of three novel control technologies for particulate matter（PM） and volatile organic compound（VOC） removal from commercial meat cooking operations. All experiments were conducted using standardized procedures at University of California, Riverside＇s commercial test cooking facility. PM mass emissions collected using South Coast Air Quality Management District（SCAQMD） Method 5.1, as well as a dilution tunnel-based PM method showed statistically significantly reductions for each control technology when compared to baseline testing（i.e., without a catalyst）. Overall, particle number emissions decreased with the use of control technologies, with the exception of control technology 2（CT2）, which is a grease removal technology based on boundary layer momentum transfer（BLMT） theory. Particle size distributions were unimodal with CT2 resulting in higher particle number populations at lower particle diameters. Organic carbon was the dominant PM component（ 99%） for all experiments. Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde were the most abundant carbonyl compounds and showed reductions with the application of the control technologies. Some reductions in mono-aromatic VOCs were also observed with CT2 and the electrostatic precipitator（ESP） CT3 compared to the baseline testing.
