hemoglobinosis C occurs mainly in Africa and America with a high frequency in West Africa. In Senegal, homozygous hemoglobinopathy CC constitutes a very rare profile of which only 3 cases are followed in the clinical hematology department of Dakar. The 1st case is a 49-year-old female patient, with notion of 1st degree consanguinity, and a long history of abdominal pain who presented a poorly tolerated anemic syndrome and splenomegaly. The biological assessment showed moderate anemia (7.6 g/dL) with microcytic hypochromia and a CC profile (hbC = 99.2%;hbA2 = 0.8%) on hemoglobin electrophoresis. The second case was a 22-year-old female patient with a notion of 2nd degree consanguinity who presented a Chauffard triad. The haemogram showed mild anaemia (11 g/dL), microcytic and hypochromic. hemoglobin electrophoresis confirmed a CC profile (hbC = 95.3%;hbA2 = 4.7%). The third patient was 27 years old, with a history of diffuse abdominal pain and 2nd degree consanguinity. The haemogram and haemoglobin electrophoresis confirmed the CC profile (hbC = 94.6%;hbA2 = 5.4%). The negativity of the Emmel test in front of this presentation suggestive of sickle cell disease means that this type of hemoglobinopathy is diagnosed late in our regions. We therefore recommend the systematic performance of hemoglobin electrophoresis in the presence of any chronic hemolytic anemia.

＜正＞In this paper, a two-level control structure of Static Synchronous Var Compensator （STATCOM）, which consists of internal and external control system, is described. The control targets of two levels and relations between them are also proposed. The suggested configuration of control systems can benefit the controller design for STATCOM. h∞ control approach, which considers imprecise parameters and external disturbances, is applied to design the internal controller of STATCOM. Then, some improvements and optimizations based on the dynamical analysis of STATCOM has been developed to achieve better dynamical performance and tracking accuracy.

目的：介绍腹腔镜联合小切口全子宫切除术（ laparoscopy and minilaparotomy hysterectomy，LMh）治疗超过1 kg的巨大肌瘤子宫的手术技巧及结果。方法2011年5月～2013年12月，10例巨大肌瘤子宫（超过1 kg）患者接受LMh，其中6例联合附件切除术。本文回顾性分析其病例特点、手术资料和结果。先使用腹腔镜探查评估卵巢、输卵管、粘连情况，以及子宫肌瘤的大小和位置。做＜6 cm的小切口。在腹腔镜照明和监视下，经小切口电凝卵巢或子宫血管。同样圆韧带、输卵管或卵巢骨盆漏斗韧带也可以使用传统的开放手术器械和技术电凝和分离。对巨大肌瘤子宫，在进行标准的子宫切除前通常需要先行肌瘤切除以缩小子宫体积，或先行子宫次全切除以将巨大肌瘤从宫颈分离。巨大子宫可以粉碎后经小切口取出。结果所有手术成功实施，无术中或术后并发症。平均手术时间2 h。所有患者术后恢复良好，出院时间1．5～3 d10结论对于超过1 kg的巨大肌瘤子宫，腹腔镜联合小切口全子宫切除术可以代替开腹全子宫切除术，是腹腔镜全子宫切除术外又一种安全、可行的微创手术。

Thermodynamic Characterization of <i>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</i>Catalyzed Fermentation of Cane Sugar

The rate of cane sugar fermentation with Saccharomyces cerevisiae was studied at temperatures between 30°C and 42°C in order to characterize the process using thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy (Δh*), activation energy (ΔE*), entropy (ΔS*), Gibbs free energy (ΔG*) and equilibrium constant (K). The parameters were evaluated on the basis of a consideration of Arrhenius, Eyring and Van’t hoff’s equations. The results obtained are Δh*, 91.85 KJ·mol-1;ΔE*, 91.85 KJ·mol-1, ΔS*, 2763 J·mol-1K-1;ΔG*, -762.09 KJ·mol-1, and equilibrium constant, K, 1.34 dm3·mol-1. These values were subsequently used to obtain by calculation the rate constant of the fermentation k, 1.43 × 1011 min-1, Arrhenius constant A (pre-exponential or frequency factor), 4.79 × 1026 min-1, orientation parameter, P, 4.48 × 1015 and the collision frequency Z, 1.07 × 1011 min-1. Finally the fermentation efficiency calculated on the basis of a complete combustion of glucose is 377.8%. The results showed that though the fermentation process is kinetically controlled, it is suggested that the positive impact of the feasible thermodynamics is limited by other process variables.

罗非鱼是全球养殖总量仅低于鲤鱼的水产养殖品种之一。它是许多发达国家和发展中国家人民的重要蛋白质来源。为了满足对鱼类的高需求,罗非鱼通常养殖密度较高,导致养殖罗非鱼疾病时常发生,对水产养殖业造成了重大打击。在水产养殖中,益生菌在抗病、提高免疫力、改善水质等方面的应用得到了很好的阐明。然而,在水产养殖中使用的益生菌很多并非来源于鱼体,因此,它们在水产动物上应用的效果相对较差。宿主相关的益生菌,即“最初从养殖水体或宿主的消化道中分离出来,以改善宿主的生长和健康的细菌”,被认为是水产养殖业的未来。在许多候选微生物中,益生芽孢杆菌由于具有孢子形成能力,使它们在恶劣环境条件下（耐热和更长的寿命）存活,此外,多数芽孢杆菌对鱼类没有致病性且无毒,并能产生广泛的抗菌物质,因此比其他益生菌更适合作为候选益生菌。因此,本论文从罗非鱼消化道中分离和鉴定芽孢杆菌,通过体外实验对其形态、生化和抑菌活性等进行研究,通过养殖实验,对其体内益生菌潜力进行了评估,研究了不同菌株对尼罗罗非鱼生长、消化酶和抗氧化酶能力、血清和粘液免疫、基因表达的影响及其对尼罗罗非鱼菌群和肠道形态的影响。同时,通过人工感染实验,对分离的芽孢杆菌抵御无乳链球菌和嗜水气单胞菌感染的能力进行了评价。结果显示,我们从尼罗罗非鱼的肠道成功分离到3株芽孢杆菌,分别为贝莱斯芽孢杆菌TPS3N（MK130897）、枯草芽孢杆菌TPS4（MK130899）和淀粉酶样芽孢杆菌TPS17（MK130898）。贝莱斯芽孢杆菌TPS3N和淀粉酶样芽孢杆菌TPS17表现为α-溶血,而枯草芽孢杆菌TPS4表现为γ-溶血。体外研究表明,三种芽孢杆菌在高温（80℃、90℃和100℃）下均具有较高的生存能力,对低p h值（1）和低胆盐浓度（0.5%）具有耐受性,同时具有较高的细胞表面疏水性和自凝集性,说明易于肠道定植。这三种芽孢杆菌可相互兼容,因此可以联合使用。这些菌株对庆大霉素、头孢氨苄、氨苄青霉素、头孢曲松钠、、卡那霉素、阿米卡星、盘尼西林、头孢哌酮钠、氯霉素、红霉素、四环素、强力霉素、环丙沙星、克林霉素（除枯草芽孢杆菌TPS4）和呋喃唑酮（除淀粉酶样芽孢杆菌TPS17）是敏感的。抗菌鉴定结果表明,在3株分离菌中,TPS3N、TPS17对3种鱼类致病菌（无乳链球菌、嗜水气单胞菌、哈氏弧菌）均有较好的抗菌活性,而枯草杆菌TPS4仅对无乳链球菌有效。为了评估尼罗罗非鱼体内三种宿主相关芽孢杆菌的益生菌潜力,进行了为期四周的饲养试验。试验鱼被分为5个处理组,包括不含细菌的对照组CT组、含有贝莱斯芽孢杆菌TPS3N的V组,含有枯草芽孢杆菌TPS4的S组,含有淀粉酶样芽孢杆菌TPS17的为A组以及三株芽孢杆菌按照1:1:1混合投喂的CB组。试验结束时,芽孢杆菌处理组在终重（FW）、增重（WG）、比较生长率（SGR）、饲料转化率（FCR）等方面均有提高,其中CB组表现最佳。处理组与对照组比较,免疫球蛋白M（Ig M）、溶菌酶（LZM）、酸性磷酸酶（ACP）、碱性磷酸酶（AKP）、抗氧化酶(超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）、过氧化氢酶（CAT）、消化酶（脂肪酶、胰蛋白酶）等指标均有提高。与对照组相比,V、S、A、CB组的GOT和MDA活性明显降低。生长相关基因GhR-1和IGF-1在投喂了芽孢杆菌的鱼的肝脏和头肾（hK）中均显著上调。同样,CB组诱导显著提高TNF-α,TLR-2,Ig M（除了在肝脏）和C-LYZ在所有组织的表达。随后用无乳链球菌进行的攻毒试验,CT、V、S、A和CB处理组的累积死亡率分别为60.0%、33.33%、26.67%、20.0%和13.33%。进一步研究了三种宿主相关芽孢杆菌对尼罗罗非鱼黏膜免疫、肠道形态、肠道消化酶活性、肠道菌群和抵御嗜水气单胞菌感染能力的影响。试验鱼被分为5个处理组,包括不含细菌的对照组CT组、含有贝莱斯芽孢杆菌TPS3N的V组,含有枯草芽孢杆菌TPS4的S组,含有淀粉酶样芽孢杆菌TPS17的为A组,三株芽孢杆菌1:1:1混合投喂表示CB组。饲养试验结束时,实验组的皮肤黏液和肠道免疫滴定度记录的一氧化氮（NO）（除了V组和S组的粘膜）,免疫球蛋白M（Ig M）（除了V组肠）,溶菌酶（LZM）和碱性磷酸酶（AKP）均显著高于对照组。肠道抗氧化酶（过氧化氢酶（CAT）（S组除外）和超氧化物歧化酶（SOD））活性在实验组较高。此外,补充芽孢杆菌的实验组肠道脂肪酶活性升高,与对照组相比,补充芽孢杆菌组肠道形态学参数(绒毛高度、绒毛宽度、杯状细胞计数（S组和A组除外）、肠道肌肉厚度均明显增强。肠道菌群研究表明,补充益生菌还会影响尼罗罗非鱼的肠道菌群组成。一般,在本研究中,变形杆菌门的丰度最高,其次是厚壁菌门、梭杆菌门和拟杆菌门。在属水平上,与对照组相比,补充芽孢杆菌组的致病菌葡萄球菌和气单胞菌的丰度

The intertidal zone (also known as seashore) are transition areas between land and sea, that are greatly influenced by the tide cycle, therefore, environmental parameters, such as temperature and salinity, oscillate according to the periods in which these areas are exposed to air. Intertidal zones are highly diverse, which makes them key ecosystems for the development of sea life (both flora and fauna) exposed to drastic environmental change. The 59 visual censuses campaigns were carried out during the full moon of each month from 2015 to 2019. Temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen were recorded during each visual census and showed variations between years. Temperature showed two distinct seasons, warm and cold. A total of 14,995 organisms were recorded, belonging to 30 species, 28 genera, 15 families, five orders and one class. Ecological indices like species richness (SR), Shannon-Wiener’s diversity (H') and Fisher’s alpha (hite-space:normal;">α-Fisher) showed significant differences between years, 2015 and 2016 recorded as the most diverse years, while the lowest values were recorded in 2019. Therefore, fish communities of tide pools showed to be highly diverse, with 30 species recording similar relative abundances, and according to the BVI, only 11 species were dominant. The coastal areas of the Baja California peninsula are characterized mainly by rocky areas, where rock pools dominate as important coastal habitats because of the tide cycle, when the water is trapped during the low tide, forming the pools. Environmental parameters like temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen of the water trapped in the pools are key factors for the flora and fauna that inhabit these areas, particularly during the warmer months when the mean values of these parameters are usually higher than the mean values of the sea surface. The aim of the present study was to determine the variation of the taxonomic diversity of the fish communities that inhabit the rock pools in the common land known as Conquista Agraria in the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur, México, from 2015 to 2019. A total of 59 visual censuses were carried out monthly during the second low tide of the full moon. Temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen showed variation throughout the study period, with two distinct seasons (warm and cold), which influenced the taxonomic diversity and taxonomic distinctness of the species recorded in the area. There was a higher diversity in the warmer months (summer) and years (2015 and 2016). In addition, according to the MDS analysis, 2017 and 2018 showed high similarity of species.

Calretinin Expression in Unicystic Ameloblastoma and Odontogenic Cysts

Background: Unicystic ameloblastoma arises from similar tissues as the odontogenic cysts. It may also arise from the epithelial lining of these cysts. Furthermore, the epithelial lining of unicystic ameloblastoma is variable and may be almost completely nondescript, which may lead to diagnostic confusion with odontogenic cysts. Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein that has been suggested to be a specific immunohistochemical marker for ameloblastic tissues. The aim of this study was to investigate the usefulness of calretinin in the differentiating unicystic ameloblastoma from odontogenic keratocyst, dentigerous cyst and radicular cyst of the jaws. Materials and Methods: Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue blocks of 23 unicystic ameloblastomas, 6 odontogenic keratocysts, 8 dentigerous cysts and 10 radicular cysts were utilized. Five micrometer thick sections were made from the tissue blocks and mounted on silanized glass slides. Immunohistochemical staining was done using a 1:100 dilution of mouse monoclonal anti-calretinin primary antibodies (Abcam, SA;Clone 1F5h1) and incubating overnight at 4°C. The staining reaction was visualised using diaminobenzidine substrate solution. Stained tissue sections were evaluated for the presence, distribution, and intensity of staining of the immunoreactive cells. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 23. Statistical tests employed were Chi square test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The level of significance was set at 95% (p-value Results: Calretinin expression was seen in 14 (60.9%) cases of unicystic ameloblastoma, 3 (50.0%) cases of odontogenic keratocyst and a lone (12.5%) case of dentigerous cyst. None of the 10 cases of radicular cyst showed positive expression of calretinin. Staining in unicystic ameloblastoma was mostly localized to the superficial layers, whereas in odontogenic keratocyst it involved all layers of the epithelial lining.
