We are exploring a generic strongly-interacting Electroweak Symmetry Breaking Sector(EWSBS) with the low-energy effective field theory for the four experimentally known particles(W_L~±,Z_l,h) and its dispersion-relation based unitary *** this contribution we provide simple estimates for the production cross-section of pairs of the EWSBS bosons and their resonances at proton-proton colliders as well as in a future e^-e^+(or potentially aμ^-μ^+) collider with a typical few-TeV *** examine the simplest production mechanisms,tree-level production through a W(dominant when quantum numbers allow) and the simple effective boson approximation(in which the electroweak bosons are considered as collinear partons of the colliding fermions).We exemplify with custodial isovector and isotensor resonances at 2 TeV,the energy currently being discussed because of a slight excess in the ATLAS 2-jet *** find it hard,though not unthinkable,to ascribe this excess to one of these W_lW_l rescattering *** isovector resonance could be produced at a rate smaller than,but close to earlier CMS exclusion bounds,depending on the parameters of the effective *** ZZ excess is then problematic and requires additional physics(such as an additional scalar resonance).The isotensor one(that would describe all charge combinations) has smaller cross-section.

Color polymorphisms have been traditionally attributed to apostatic *** perception of color depends on the visual system of the *** models predict that differently perceived degrees of conspicuousness by two predator and prey species may cause the evolution of polymorphisms in the presence of anti-apostatic and apostatic *** spider Gasteracantha cancriformis(Araneidae)possesses several conspicuous color *** orb-web spiders,the prey attraction hypothesis states that conspicuous colors are prey lures that increase spider foraging success via flower ***,polymorphism could be maintained if each morph attracted a different prey species(multiple prey hypothesis)and each spider mimicked a different flower color(flower mimicry hypothesis).Conspicuous colors could be a warning signal to predators because of the spider's hard abdomen and *** predators could perceive morphs differently and exert different degrees of selective pressures(multiple predator hypothesis).We explored these 3 hypotheses using reflectance data and color vision modeling to estimate the chromatic and achromatic contrast of *** morphs as perceived by several potential prey and predator *** results revealed that individual taxa perceive the conspicuousness of morphs ***,the multiple prey hypothesis and,in part,the multiple predator hypothesis may explain the evolution of color polymorphism in ***,even in the presence of anti-apostatic *** flower mimicry hypothesis received support by color metrics,but not by color vision *** parameters not evaluated by color vision models could also affect the perception of morphs and influence morph survival and polymorphism stability.

Spinal cord injury affects millions of people around the world, however, limited therapies are available to improve the quality of life of these patients. Spinal cord injury is usually modeled in rats and mice using contusion or complete transection models and this has led to a deeper understanding of the molecular and cellular complexities of the injury. However, it has not to date led to development of successful novel therapies, this is in part due to the complexity of the injury and the difficulty of deciphering the exact roles and interactions of different cells within this complex environment. Here we developed a collagen matrix that can be molded into the 3D tubular shape with a lumen and can hence support cell interactions in a similar architecture to a spinal cord. We show that astrocytes can be successfully grown on this matrix in vitro and when injured, the cells respond as they do in vivo and undergo reactive gliosis, one of the steps that lead to formation of a glial scar, the main barrier to spinal cord regeneration. In the future, this system can be used to quickly assess the effect of drugs on glial scar protein activity or to perform live imaging of labeled cells after exposure to drugs.

Growing energy demand is a current problem with greater incidence in the *** research objective is to establish seed bases to give a leading role to plants used in anthropogenic production activities and consumption,and even plants belonging to wildlife in terms of energy *** use of living plants to obtain electrical energy through a microbial-vegetable fuel cell is proposed as a mech-anism to supply the energy demand with easy access worldwide,especially in areas far from urban *** this work,the voltage produced by microbial-vegetable fuel cells was measured using graphite electrodes and plants belonging to the species of aloe(Aloe vera),corn(Zea mays),black beans(Phaseolus vulgaris),tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)and moss(Dicranidae).They were selected for their presence in everyday life and their great commercial and agricultural value,reaching a maximum voltage of 884 mV from *** is evidence that all plants can be a source of energy to a greater or lesser extent and that their performance is given by the plant root interactions at the ***,an extensive root system can favour the accumulation of substrate after the hydrolysis of dead roots,provided that their presence does not interfere with microbial activity on the anodic *** this,using plants with low resistance to thermal stress can lead to a substrate richer in substances that can be ***,it is recommended to use plants according to their life cycle and the morphology of their roots,and plants that can grow in waterlogged conditions or without direct contact with the Sun.

The microstructural features, shape memory behavior and mechanical properties of Ni-Mn based alloys were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and thermal cycling test under various stresses. The transformation temperatures shifted toward lower temperatures when adding a third element into the Ni-Mn system. The addition of 10 at. pct Fe increased considerably the mechanical properties exhibiting still high transformation temperatures. However, it was found that in NiMn40Fe10 alloy the martensitic transformation is not thermoelastic in nature. The mechanism of this transformation and the crystallography of Ni-Mn（50-x）-Fex （x=5, 7, 10, 20 at. pct） alloys are presented.

Quantum coherence is a relevant resource for various quantum information processing tasks,but it is fragile since it is generally affected by environmental *** is reflected in the loss of purity of the system,which in turn limits the amount of quantum coherence of *** a consequence,a complementarity relation between coherence and mixedness *** works characterize this complementarity through inequalities between theℓ1-norm of coherence and linear entropy,and between the relative entropy of coherence and von Neumann ***,coherence-mixedness complementarity is expected to be a general feature of quantum systems,regardless of the measures ***,an alternative approach to coherence-mixedness complementarity,based on majorization theory,is *** quantifiers of coherence and mixedness,namely the coherence vector and the spectrum,respectively,are used,instead of scalar measures.A majorization relation for the tensor product of both vectorial quantifiers is obtained,capturing general aspects of the trade-off between coherence and *** optimal bound for qubit systems and numerical bounds for qutrit systems are ***,coherence-mixedness complementarity relations are derived for a family of symmetric,concave and additive *** results provide a deeper insight into the relation between quantum coherence and mixedness.

Influenced by the fact that vorticity represents rotation for rigid body,people believe this idea also works for fluid ***,the vortex predictions by vorticity do not match experimental results,which drove scientists to look for more appropriate methods to identify *** vortex identification methods can be categorized into three *** vorticity-based method is classified as the first *** relying on eigenvalues of velocity gradient tensor are considered as the second *** still believe vorticity is vortex since vorticity theory looks correct in mathematics,but all other methods are only scalars and unable to indicate the swirl ***,a new vortex identification method called Liutex is *** is regarded as the third-generation method,not only overcoming all previous methods’drawbacks but also having a clear physical *** direction of Liutex represents the swirl axis of rotation,and its strength is equal to twice the angular *** this paper,we did a correlation analysis between vorticity,Q,λ_(ci),λ_(2)methods and Liutex based on a direct numerical simulation(DNS)case of boundary layer *** results show that the correlation between vorticity and Liutex is very small or even negative in strong shear regions,which demonstrates that using vorticity to detect vortex lacks scientific foundation and vorticity is not appropriate to represent *** correlation analysis also shows that the second generation is contaminated too by shear and thus is not accurate to identify the vortex structure.

The eastern side of Alta Floresta Mineral Province(AFMP)(União do Norte region)comprises an effusive/-subvolcanic phase,explosive phase,and epiclastic *** effusive/subvolcanic phase comprises massive porphyritic rhyolite with different degrees of crystallinity,porphyritic rhyolite with flow structure,and microcrystalline *** explosive phase is characterized by welded lapilli tuff,lapilli tuff with flow structure,stratified lapilli tuff,and tuff with accretionary *** and siltstones characterize epiclastic *** are porphyritic rhyolite dikes that cut the volcanic *** rocks of the Colíder Group are rhyolites(>70%SiO2)with calcic-alkaline to alkaline-calcic affinity.A rhyolitic rock is predominantly ferroan and metaluminous,while a pyroclastic rock is predominantly magnesian to ferroan and meta-to peraluminous in *** rocks have a high LREE content,and slight fractionation of HREE suggests they have hybrid geochemical characteristics of high potassium calc-alkaline,shoshonitic,and suggestive affinities of A-type magmas,probably produced in a post-collisional orogenic *** rocks have a relatively high level of Ba and Rb and a negative anomaly for Sr,P,Nb,Ta,and Ti,suggesting an intra-plate mantle source with contributions from a metasomatized mantle *** rocks do not have adakitic characteristics nor fertility for Cu-Au(Sr/Y<1.9 and LaN/YbN<38.0)as in other regions of the *** welded lapilli tuff rocks show U-Pb age of 1838±17 Ma and 1817±2 Ma and are the older explosive *** effusive/subvolcanic phase has U-Pb ages of 1800±3 Ma and 1792±3 Ma obtained in the massive porphyritic *** age interval of approximately 46 Ma(1838–1792 Ma)suggests the presence of two or more volcanic cycles or distinct volcanic *** on the interpretation of volcanic and epiclastic deposits and remote sensing products,the paleoenvironmental reconstruction includes subaerial with effusive/subvolcani
