Risk of venous thromboembolism in children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND A two-to three-fold increased risk of venous thrombotic events(VTE) has been demonstrated in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) compared to the general population, but less is known about the risk of VTE in child-and pediatric-onset IBD. In recent years, several studies have reported the rising incidence rate of VTE in juvenile patients with IBD, and the related risk factors have been *** To evaluate the risk of VTE in children and adolescents with *** Articles published up to April 2021 were retrieved from Pub Med, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Sino Med, CNKI, and WANFANG. Data from observational studies and clinical work were extracted. The outcome was the occurrence of VTE according to the type of IBD. The available odds ratio(OR) and the corresponding 95% confidence interval(CI) were extracted to compare the outcomes. Effect size(P), odds ratio(OR), and 95%CI were used to assess the association between VTE risk and IBD disease. Subgroup analyses stratified by subtypes of VTE and IBD were *** Twelve studies(7450272 IBD patients) were included in the meta-analysis. Child and adolescent IBD patients showed increased VTE risk(P = 0.02, 95%CI: 0.01-0.03). Subgroup analyses stratified by IBD(ulcerative colitis(UC): P = 0.05, 95%CI: 0.03-0.06;Crohn’s disease(CD): P = 0.02, 95%CI: 0.00-0.04) and VTE subtypes(portal vein thrombosis: P = 0.04, 95%CI: 0.02-0.06;deep vein thrombosis: P = 0.03, 95%CI: 0.01-0.05;central venous catheter-related thrombosis: P = 0.23, 95%CI: 0.00-0.46;thromboembolic events: P = 0.02, 95%CI: 0.01-0.03) revealed a significant correlation between VTE risk and IBD. Influence of process parameters on interracial tensile strength of crosswedge rolling of 42CrMo/Q235 laminated shafts

Through rolling experiments and interfacial tensile strength tests of cross-wedge rolled laminated shafts of 42CrMo/Q235 composites, the influence of process parameters, including forming angle, spreading angle, area reduction, rolling temperature and core material diameter on the interfacial shear strength was analyzed. The results show that the sequence of process parameters in order of greatest influence on interfacial tensile strength was rolling temperature, area reduction, core material diameter, forming angle and spreading angle. At the interface of the combined materials, tensile strength decreased as forming angle and spreading angle increased, whereas the tensile strength first increased and then decreased as area reduction, rolling temperature and core material diameter increased.

The top-pair production in association with a Z^0-boson at a photon-photon collider is an important process in probing the coupling between top-quarks and vector boson and discovering the signature of possible new physics. We describe the impact of the complete supersymmetric QCD （SQCD） next-to-leading order （NLO） radiative corrections on this process at a polarized or unpolarized photon collider, and make a comparison between the effects of the SQCD and the standard model （SM） QCD. We investigate the dependence of the lowest-order （LO） and QCD NLO corrected cross sections in both the SM and minimal supersymmetric standard model （MSSM） on colliding energy √s in different polarized photon collision modes. The LO, SM NLO, and SQCD NLO corrected distributions of the invariant mass of tt^--pair and the transverse momenta of final Z^0-boson are presented. Our numerical results show that the pure SQCD effects in γγ →tt^- Z^0 process can be more significant in the ＋＋ polarized photon collision mode than in other collision modes, and the relative SQCD radiative correction in unpolarized photon collision mode varies from 32.09% to -1.89% when √s goes up from 500 GeV to 1.5 TeV.

A subdivision vertex-edge corona G;?（∪ G;） is a graph that consists of S（G;）,|V（G;）| copies of G;and |I（G;）| copies of G;by joining the i-th vertex in V（G;） to each vertex in the i-th copy of G;and i-th vertex of I（G;） to each vertex in the i-th copy of G;.In this paper, we determine the normalized Laplacian spectrum of G;?（G;∪ G;） in terms of the corresponding normalized Laplacian spectra of three connected regular graphs G;, G;and G;. As applications, we construct some non-regular normalized Laplacian cospectral graphs. In addition, we also give the multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff index, the Kemeny’s constant and the number of the spanning trees of G;?（G;∪ G;） on three regular graphs.

Dear Editor, Triacylglycerols （triglycerides）（TAGs）, as the major storage forms of energy, mainly are stored in adipocytes, myocytes, enterocytes, hepatocytes, and mammary epithelial cells in mammals, oilseeds in plants, and lipid droplets in microorgan- isms （Yen et al., 2008）. Aside from energy storage, TAGs have essential functions in multiple physiological processes. In plants, TAGs are crucial for seed oil accumulation, germina- tion, and seedling development （Zhang et al., 2005, 2009）. Notably, TAGs derived from plants and microorganisms could serve as the feedstock for biofuels production （Deng et al., 2009）. Therefore, understanding of the molecular basis of TAGs bio- synthesis and storage is of considerable economic importance.

The geomorphology of the southern Yellow Sea(SYS) is characterized by offshore radial sand ridges(RSR).An offshore tidal channel(KSY Channel) is located perpendicular to the coast,comprised of a main and a tributary channel separated by a submarine sand ridge(KSY Sand Ridge) extending *** order to investigate the interactions among water flow,sediment transport,and topography,current velocity and suspended sediment concentration(SSC) were observed at 11 anchor stations along KSY Channel in RSR during a spring tide *** resolution bottom topography was also *** currents and tidally averaged suspended sediment fluxes were calculated and analyzed by using the decomposition *** suggested that the water currents became stronger landward but with asymmetrical current speed and temporal duration of flood and ebb *** currents showed landward water transport in the nearshore channel and a clockwise circulation around the KSY Sand ***-averaged SSC also increased landward along the *** main mechanisms controlling SSC variations were resuspension and horizontal advection,with spatial and temporal variations in the channel,which also contributed to sediment redistribution between channels and sand *** flow transport and the tidal pumping effect dominated the suspended sediment flux in the KSY *** KSY Sand Ridge had a potential southward migration due to the interaction between water flow,sediment transport,and topography.

Quantum heat engines and refrigerators are open quantum systems,whose dynamics can be well understood using a non-Hermitian formalism.A prominent feature of non-Hermiticity is the existence of exceptional points(EPs),which has no counterpart in closed quantum *** has been shown in classical systems that dynamical encirclement in the vicinity of an EP,whether the loop includes the EP or not,could lead to chiral mode ***,we show that this is valid also for quantum systems when dynamical encircling is performed in the vicinity of their Liouvillian EPs(LEPs),which include the effects of quantum jumps and associated noise—an important quantum feature not present in previous *** demonstrate,using a Paul-trapped ultracold ion,the first chiral quantum heating and refrigeration by dynamically encircling a closed loop in the vicinity of an *** witness the cycling direction to be associated with the chirality and heat release(absorption)of the quantum heat engine(quantum refrigerator).Our experiments have revealed that not only the adiabaticity breakdown but also the Landau–Zener–Stückelberg process play an essential role during dynamic encircling,resulting in chiral thermodynamic *** observations contribute to further understanding of chiral and topological features in non-Hermitian systems and pave a way to exploring the relation between chirality and quantum thermodynamics.
