Large scale of short text records are now prevalent, such as news highlights, scientific paper citations, and posted messages in a discussion forum, and are often stored as set records in hidden-Web databases. Many interesting information retrieval tasks are correspondingly raised on the correlation query over these short text records, such as finding hot topics over news highlights and searching related scientific papers on a certain topic. However, current relational database management systems （RDBMS） do not directly provide support on set correlation query. Thus, in this paper, we address both the effectiveness and the efficiency issues of set correlation query over set records in databases. First, we present a framework of set correlation query inside databases. To the best of our knowledge, only the Pearson＇s correlation can be implemented to construct token correlations by using RDBMS facilities. Thereby, we propose a novel correlation coefficient to extend Pearson＇s correlation, and provide a pure-SQL implementation inside databases. We further propose optimal strategies to set up correlation filtering threshold, which can greatly reduce the query time. Our theoretical analysis proves that with a proper setting of filtering threshold, we can improve the query efficiency with a little effectiveness loss. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments to show the effectiveness and the efficiency of proposed correlation query and optimization strategies.

The stimulus-responsive room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)materials have become an increasingly significant topic in the fields of bioimaging,sensing,and anticounterfeiting.However,this kind of materials is scarce to date,especially for the ones with delicate stimulus-responsive behavior.Herein,a universal strategy for multilevel thermal erasure of RTP via chromatographic separation of host-guest doping RTP systems is proposed.The tunable host-guest systems,matrix materials,heating temperature,and time are demonstrated to allow precise six-level data encryption,QR code encryption,and thermochromic phosphorescence encryption.Mechanistic study reveals that the thermal-responsive property might be attributed to molecular thermal motion and the separation effect of the silica gel,which provides expanded applications of host-guest RTP materials such as cold chain break detection.This work offers a simple yet universal way to construct advanced responsive RTP materials.

A novel Ni-based superalloy GH4151,with a γ′ volume fraction of about 55%and a service temperature capability up to 8oo oC,was investigated.Due to the different cooling conditions of various regions during the solidification of ingots,significant cooling rate variations may lead to the occurrence of hot cracking.Conventional scanning laser microscope was utilised to investigate the solidification process and phase precipitation behaviour of the GH4151 under wide range cooling rates.The characteristics of L→γ transformation were analysed,and the growth rates of at each stage were calculated.The segregation behaviour was predicted using the Scheil equation,and the predicted results match well with the experimental results.The sensitivity coefficient for hot cracking was modified,and cracking sensitivity coefficient values for the alloy under different cooling rates were computed,revealing that the alloy is most susceptible to hot cracking at 10℃/min cooling rate.Therefore,controlling the cooling rate can reduce the possibility of hot cracking in ingot.

Background:Maintenance of cancer stem-like cell(CSC)stemness supported by aberrantly regulated cancer cell metabolism is critical for CSC self-renewal and tumor progression.As a key glycolytic enzyme,hexokinase 2(HK2)plays an instrumental role in aerobic glycolysis and tumor progression.However,whether HK2 directly contribute to CSC stemness maintenance in small cell lung cancer(SCLC)is largely unclear.In this study,we aimed to investgate whether HK2 independent of its glycolytic activity is directly involved in stemness maintenance of CSC in SCLC.Methods:Immunoblotting analyses were conducted to determine the expression of HK2 in SCLC CSCs and their differentiated counterparts.CSC-like properties and tumorigenesis of SCLC cells with or without HK2 depletion or overexpression were examined by sphere formation assay and xenograft mouse model.Immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry analyses were performed to identify the binding proteins of CD133.The expression levels of CD133-associated and CSC-relevant proteins were evaluated by immunoblotting,immunoprecipitation,immunofluorescence,and immunohistochemistry assay.RNA expression levels of Nanog,POU5F1,Lin28,HK2,Prominin-1 were analyzed through quantitative reverse transcription PCR.Polyubiquitination of CD133 was examined by in vitro or in vivo ubiquitination assay.CD133+cells were sorted by flow cytometry using an anti-CD133 antibody.Results:We demonstrated that HK2 expression was much higher in CSCs of SCLC than in their differentiated counterparts.HK2 depletion inhibited CSC stemness and promoted CSC differentiation.Mechanistically,nonmitochondrial HK2 directly interacted with CD133 and enhanced CD133 expression without affecting CD133 mRNA levels.The interaction of HK2 and CD133 promoted the binding of the deubiquitinase ubiquitin-specific protease 11(USP11)to CD133,thereby inhibiting CD133 polyubiquitylation and degradation.HK2-mediated upregulation of CD133 expression enhanced the expression of cell renewal regulators,SCLC cell stemness,and tumor grow

In this study,isothermal compression tests were conducted at a Gleeble-1500 simulator at deformation temperatures ranging from 1073 to 1283 K,strain rates ranging from 0.01 to 5.00 s^（-1）,and height reductions ranging from 20%to 60%.The flow stress and apparent activation energy for deformation and constitutive equation were used to characterize the deformation behavior of TC21 alloy during the isothermal compression.The processing maps combined microstructure observations were established based on dynamic material model（DMM） over a range of strain rates and temperatures.The results show that an initial yield drop is observed above 1203 K or at higher strain rates ranging from 1.00 to 5.00 s^-1,and oscillatory flow curves are presented particularly at a strain rate of 5.00 s^-1.Strain has some influence on the apparent activation energy for deformation during the isothermal compression of TC21 alloy.The Q-values and microstructure observation confirm that dynamic recrystallization（DRX） occurs in the β single-phase region.The constitutive equation during the isothermal compression of TC21 alloy is developed using the Zener-Hollomon parameter in the exponent-type equation.The maximum and minimum relative errors between the calculated and the experimental flow stress are 14.1%and 0.3%,respectively.The peak efficiency of power dissipation at a strain of 0.7 is about 0.51 occurring at a deformation temperature of 1073 K and strain rate of 0.01 s^-1,corresponding to an optimal deformation condition of TC21 alloy.

Biological calcium phosphate nanorods for piezocatalytical extraction of U(VI)from water

The application of nanomaterials in energy and environmental fields has recently made great progress.As a key element in the nuclear industry,the discharge of uranium(U(VI))contained wastewater usually induces environmental issues and waste of resources.Although the catalytically generated H_(2)O_(2)by nanomaterials has recently shown application potential in extracting U(VI)from water,low-cost and highly efficient nanocatalysts are still urgently needed.In this work,a cheap and readily available piezocatalyst of calcium phosphate nanorods was successfully fabricated by calcining chicken bones.Under ultrasonication,H_(2)O_(2)was produced and used to extract U(VI)from water.It is worth noting that the yield of H_(2)O_(2)reached 179.7μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1),and the extraction efficiency of U(VI)in water reached 97.16%(100 ppm)within 330 min.Through the capture and quantitative analysis of the active species,it is found that the generation of H_(2)O_(2)depends on the combination of soluble oxygen and piezoelectrons,which thus dominates the extraction of U(VI).This simple and powerful piezocatalytic strategy greatly reduces the cost of H_(2)O_(2)production for U(VI)extraction in water,and is of great significance for the treatment of U(VI)-containing wastewater.

To Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a major issue in emergency care worldwide. The incidence of OHCA is estimated to be 50 to 60 per 100,000 persons globally.Despite advances in treatment and technology, survival following OHCA remains low. There are multiple factors affecting the survival outcome. The type of emergency medical service (EMS) system is likely to be one of them. In Asia, the EMS structure and its service capability in terms of dispatch, airway management, and medications vary widely between communities. This study aimed to evaluate the survival outcomes of OHCA in Beijing and Hong Kong (HK), China and the effect of the type of EMS system on the survival outcomes for patients with OHCA.

We study the uncertainties of quantum mechanical observables, quantified by the standard deviation(square root of variance) in Haar-distributed random pure states. We derive analytically the probability density functions(PDFs) of the uncertainties of arbitrary qubit observables.Based on these PDFs, the uncertainty regions of the observables are characterized by the support of the PDFs. The state-independent uncertainty relations are then transformed into the optimization problems over uncertainty regions, which opens a new vista for studying stateindependent uncertainty relations. Our results may be generalized to multiple observable cases in higher dimensional spaces.
