Hierarchically designed MoWSe_(2)/WO_(3)/C anode for fast and efficient Na+storage

Exploring anode materials with high energy and power density is one of the critical milestones in developing sodium-ion batteries/capacitors(SIBs/SICs).Here,the Mo and W-based bimetallic organic framework(Mo-W-MOF)with core-shell structure is first formed by a facile strategy,followed by a selenization and carbonization strategy to finally prepare multileveled Mo WSe_(2)/WO_(3)/C anode materials with core-shell petal like curled nanosheet structure.Between the petal(MoSe_(2))-core(WO_(3))structure,the formation of WSe_(2)flakes by partial selenization on the surface of WO_(3)serves as a heterogeneous connection between MoSe_(2)and WO_(3).The enlarged layer distance(0.677 nm)between MoSe_(2)and WSe_(2)can facilitate the rapid transfer of Na+and electrons.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations verify that the Mo WSe_(2)/WO_(3)/C heterostructure performs excellent metallic properties.Ex-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)confirm the activation process from the initial insertion reaction to the later conversion reaction.Resultantly,when employed as the anode of SIBs,a remarkable capacity of 384.3 mA h g-1after 950 cycles at 10 A g^(-1)is performed.Furthermore,the SICs assembled with commercial activated carbon(AC)as the cathode exhibits a remarkable energy density of 81.86 W h kg^(-1)(at 190 W kg^(-1))and 72.83 W h kg^(-1)(at 3800 W kg^(-1)).The unique structural design and the reaction investigation of the electrode process can provide a reference for the development of transition metal chalcogenides anodes.

Acute Pancreatitis Associated with Valproate Treatment

To the Editor： Drug-induced pancreatitis （DIP） is a rare cause. According to a German retrospective study, the incidence of pancreatitis caused by drugs was 1.4%.[1] A nationwide survey conducted by Japan showed that 1.2% of all cases of acute pancreatitis were caused by drugs.[2] The DIP is caused due to the drug itself or its metabolites, or organism-specific reactions caused by the introduction of hypersensitivity during pancreatic injury. Despite appropriate treatment, it demonstrated severe complications and high mortality.[3] Valproate （sodium valproate and divalproex sodium forms） is a commonly used medication that is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of epilepsy, migraine, and bipolar disorders. Adverse effects associated with valproate are typically benign, but there are more serious effects that are less frequently observed. These effects include hepatotoxicity, teratogenicity, possible polycystic ovaries with a potential sterile effect, and acute pancreatitis.[4] Even though acute pancreatitis is an adverse effect of very low frequency, it is very important to be noted due to a high mortality rate of patients with acute pancreatitis as a consequence of the use of valproate.

Circulating-free DNA Mutation Associated with Response of Targeted Therapy in Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2-positive Metastatic Breast Cancer

Background： The addition of anti-human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 （HER2）-targeted drugs, such as trastuzumab, lapatinib, and trastuzumab emtansine （T-DM1）, to chemotherapy significantly improved prognosis of HER2-positive breast cancer patients. However, it was confused that metastatic patients vary in the response of targeted drug. Therefore, methods of accurately predicting drug response were really needed. To overcome the spatial and temporal limitations ofbiopsies, we aimed to develop a more sensitive and less invasive method of detecting mutations associated with anti-tiER2 therapeutic response through circulating-free DNA （ctDNA）. Methods： From March 6, 2014 to December 10, 2014, 24 plasma samples from 20 patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer who received systemic therapy were eligible. We used a panel for detection of hot-spot mutations from 50 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, and then used targeted next-generation sequencing （NGS） to identify somatic mutation of these samples in those 50 genes. Samples taken before their first trastuzumab administration and subsequently proven with clinical benefit were grouped into sensitive group. The others were collected after disease progression of the trastuzumab-based therapy and were grouped into the resistant group. Results： A total of 486 single-nucleotide variants from 46 genes were detected. Of these 46 genes, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha （PIK3C）I）, proto-oncogene c-Kit （KIT）, and tumor protein p53 （TP53） were the most common mntated genes. Seven genes, including epidermal growth factor receptor （EGFR）, G protein subunit alpha S （GNAS）, HRas proto-oncogene （HRAS）, mutL homolog I （MLHI）, cadherin 1 （CDHI）, neuroblastoma RAS viral oncogene homolog （NRAS）, and NOTCttl, that only occurred mutations in the resistant group were associated with the resistance of targeted therapy. Background:Data on severe and extensive burns in China are limited,as is data on the prevalence of a range of related gastrointestinal(GI)disorders[such as stress ulcers,delayed defecation,opioid-related bowel immotility,and abdominal compartment syndrome(ACS)].We present a multicentre analysis of coincident GI dysfunction and its effect on burn-related mortality.Methods:This retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with severe[≥20%total burn surface area(TBSA)]and extensive(>50%TBSA or>25%full-thickness TBSA)burns admitted to three university teaching institutions in China between January 1,2011 and December 31,2020.Both 30-and 90-day mortality were assessed by collating demographic data,burn causes,admission TBSA,%full-thickness TBSA,Baux score,Abbreviated Burn Severity Index(ABSI)score,and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)score,shock at admission and the presence of an inhalation injury.GI dysfunction included abdominal distension,nausea/vomiting,diarrhoea/constipation,GI ulcer/haemorrhage,paralytic ileus,feeding intolerance and ACS.Surgeries,length of intensive care unit(ICU)stay,pain control[in morphine milligram equivalents(MME)]and overall length of hospital stay(LOHS)were recorded.Results:We analyzed 328 patients[75.6%male,mean age:(41.6±13.6)years]with a median TBSA of 62.0%(41.0%–80.0%);256(78.0%)patients presented with extensive burns.The 90-day mortality was 23.2%(76/328),with 64(84.2%)of these deaths occurring within 30 d and 25(32.9%)occurring within 7 d.GI dysfunction was experienced by 45.4%of patients and had a significant effect on 90-day mortality[odds ratio(OR)=14.070,95%confidence interval(CI)5.886–38.290,P<0.001].Multivariate analysis showed that GI dysfunction was associated with admission SOFA score and%full-thickness TBSA.Overall,88.2%(67/76)of deceased patients had GI dysfunction[hazard ratio(HR)for death of GI dysfunction=5.951],with a survival advantage for functional disorders(diarrhoea,constipation,or nausea/vomiting)over GI ulcer/haemorrhage(P<0.001).Conclusion:Patie

以不定期方式为主的传统国际干散货运输市场开始出现定时定班的准班轮化运营方式,同时,40万t超大型船舶的增加将干散货船由点到点的直达运输转变为部分航线的枢纽转运结构.本文对干散货船枢纽港转运网络的转运节点和不同承运人联营合作后船队运力结构进行研究.考虑港口靠泊能力限制和起讫港口进出口需求约束,建立基于改进遗传算法的干散货船枢纽港转运网络模型;以中国进口铁矿石运输市场为例进行仿真,并对比不同运力规模合作方案.结果表明,枢纽转运网络收益优于传统直达运输,收益提升效果与干支线运力规模相关;枢纽转运节点以可以挂靠大型矿砂船的港口作为首选,同时需要兼顾选择部分转运港口,以辐射中部、南部港口.

Background The side effects of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV)and myelosuppression reduce the cancer patients’adherence to chemotherapy.Many Chinese patients choose Chinese medicine(CM)during chemotherapy to reduce side effects;however,the evidence is lacking.The efficacy of a CM herbal treatment protocol,Jianpi Bushen Sequential Formula(健脾补肾续贯方,JBSF)will be evaluated on chemotherapy completion rate among patients with colon cancer.Methods A multi-center double-blind randomized controlled trial(RCT)will be conducted on 400 patients with colon cancer who will receive 8 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy with oxaliplatin and capecitabine(CAPEOX).Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive the JBSF or placebo formula.The primary outcome is the overall chemotherapy completion rate.The secondary outcomes include individual chemotherapy completion rate,4-cycle completion rate of chemotherapy,time to treatment failure,relative dose intensity and treatment toxicity.Follow-up visits will be scheduled before every and after last chemotherapy.Discussion This study will provide evidence on whether JBSF can improve the chemotherapy completion rate and reduce side effects among patients with colon cancer.(Trial registration:Clinical Trials.gov,No.NCT03716518)。

Investigation on the Structure and Performance of Polypropylene Sheets and Bi-axially Oriented Polypropylene Films for Capacitors

Polypropylene(PP) sheets are cast with various chill roll temperatures and rates, which are studied with differential scanning calorimetry, wide angel X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscopy and dielectric withstand voltage test system. The results show that increasing the chill roll temperature and cast rate can promote the increase of crystallinity and the growth of β-form. The PP sheets have asymmetric skin layer structures. The lower the chill roll temperature, the thicker the skin layer, the smaller the spherulite size. The electric breakdown strength(Eb) of PP sheets is mainly affected by the crystallinity but not the morphology. The PP sheets are further stretched to prepare bi-axially oriented PP(BOPP) films with various heat setting time. Our results indicate that the structure of PP sheets affects the properties of BOPP films. The as prepared BOPP films from the sheets cast at high chill roll temperature and rate have the highest crystallinity and Eb. Heat setting time has profound effect on the crystallinity and Eb, which increase first and then decrease with the heat setting time. It is expected that our study can provide guidance for optimizing process parameters.

Performance of an M-QAM full-duplex wireless system with a nonlinear amplifier

The effect of amplifier nonlinearity is analyzed for M-QAM full-duplex communications in additive white Gaussian noise channels. Two classical memoryless nonlinear amplifier models, i.e., a traveling-wave tube amplifier and a solid-state power amplifier, are considered. An analytical expression for the bit error ratio is derived using a characteristic function and numerical integration. Theoretical results show perfect agreement with those obtained by simulation. The analytical results could be used to evaluate the degradation in performance of an M-QAM full-duplex system caused by amplifier nonlinearity, and will be helpful in finding the optimal static operating point of an amplifier.
