In response to the globa. food crisis a.d the im.era.ive to a.dress soil degra.a.ion, the interna.iona. a.ricultura. policy is a.tively working to a.levia.e the a.verse im.a.ts of soil sa.inity. a. pa.t of this initia.ive, a.field tria. spa.ning two consecutive sea.ons (2019/20-2020/21) wa. conducted under sa.ine conditions. The prim.ry objective wa. to eva.ua.e the influence of va.ious com.ost sources, including verm.com.ost a. a.ra.e of 0.5 ton·fed-1 a.d pla.t residues com.ost a. a.ra.e of 5.0 ton·fed-1, a. m.in plots. Subplots were esta.lished by a.plying a.ricultura. gypsum. both in the presence a.d a.sence of gypsum.requirem.nts. a.ditiona.ly, sub-subplots were crea.ed by externa.ly a.plying coba.t a. a.ra.e of 10.0 m.·L-1, with one sub-subplot receiving folia. coba.t a.plica.ion a.d the other not. The tria. sought to a.sess the growth perform.nce, chem.ca. com.osition, enzym.tic a.tioxida.ts, yield, a.d qua.ity of ca.ba.e pla.ts (Bra.sica.olera.ea.va.. ca.ita.a.L.) cultiva.ed in sa.ine soil. a.cording to the findings, ca.ba.e pla.ts exhibited the m.st fa.ora.le response in term. of pla.t height, chlorophyll content, ca.otene levels, lea. a.ea. nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), pota.sium.(K), hea. yield, vita.0}n C, a.d tota. dissolved solids (TDS) when trea.ed with verm.com.ost, followed by pla.t com.ost. Conversely, pla.ts grown without com.ost exhibited the lea.t im.rovem.nt in perform.nce. Ca.ba.e trea.ed with a.ricultura. gypsum.requirem.nts showed better perform.nce tha. those without gypsum.a.0}ndm.nt. m.reover, pla.ts subjected to coba.t spra. dem.nstra.ed the highest growth, yield, a.d qua.ity pa.a.0}ters com.a.ed to those without coba.t folia. a.plica.ion. In contra.t, the control group (pla.ts without the studied trea.m.nts) displa.ed the highest levels of enzym.tic a.tioxida.ts, specifica.ly ca.a.a.e a.d peroxida.e. This indica.es tha. soil sa.inity stress led to a. increa.e in ca.a.a.e a.d peroxida.e production in ca.ba.e

m.ta.-m.trix com.osites (m.Cs) a.e a.tra.ting considera.le interest worldwide beca.se of their superior m.cha.ica. a.d tribologica. properties. This study describes m.ltifa.tor-ba.ed experim.nts tha. were a.plied to resea.ch a.d investiga.es a.um.num.m.trix com.osite reinforced with 5, 10 & 15 wt% a.um.na.pa.ticles. m.cha.ica. m.xing technique wa. used for fa.rica.ion. Sintering wa. ca.ried out in a.va.uum.furna.e a. 600°C for 1 hr. The effects of a.um.na.percenta.e on the density, m.crostructure, both electrica. & therm.l conductivities, ha.dness a.d com.ression strength wa. investiga.ed. The results showed tha. sa.0}le conta.ning 5 wt% a.um.na.is nea.-fully dense. a.so it ha. the highest ha.dness a.d com.ression strength.

Ba.kground a.d objective This retrospective study wa. designed to eva.ua.e the response a.d surviva. of m.ligna.t pleura. m.sotheliom. to ra.iothera.y when delivered with surgery a.d chem.thera.y a.d when delivered a.one or with chem.thera.y. m.thods a.study for 110 pa.ients with m.ligna.t pleura. m.sotheliom. who presented to ra.iothera.y depa.tm.nt, Na.iona. Ca.cer Institute, Ca.ro a.d received ra.ia.ion thera.y in the period from.Ja.ua.y 1999 to July 2007. Results Forty-six pa.ients (41.8%) received trim.da.ity thera.y (surgery & a.juva.t or neoa.juva.t chem.thera.y & a.juva.t ra.iothera.y), while bim.da.ity thera.y (chem.thera.y & ra.iothera.y) in 38 pa.ients (34.5%), while 26 pa.ients (23.6%) received single m.da.ity thera.y (pa.lia.ive ra.iothera.y), 22 pa.ients (20%) developed loca. recurrence, 22 pa.ients (20%) developed dista.t m.ta.ta.es m.nths, 14 pa.ients (12.7%) developed loca. disea.e progression, 25 pa.ients (22.7%) a.e still a.ive a.d free of disea.e a. tim. of reporting. The m.dia. surviva. for a.l pa.ients wa. 16 m.nths, while 12 a.d 18 m.nths overa.l surviva. were 63.6% & 31.8% respectively while m.dia. surviva. for sta.e II, III, IV pa.ients wa. 16.5, 12.5 a.d 8 m.nths respectively. Conclusion m.ltim.da.ity a.proa.h involving surgery, chem.thera.y a.d ra.iothera.y ha.e been eva.ua.ed a.d proved its superiority in im.roving surviva., especia.ly in sta.es II.

m.Ba.kgroundsm.: Teenage pregnancies are generally considered as a high-risk however, sufficient data is lacking in the area, Cairo Egypt. We attempted to determine whether teenage pregnancies show poorer outcomes than adult-age pregnancies. Objectives: Finding out the prevalence of teenage pregnancy and its maternal and fetal outcome in comparison. Subjects and methods: A retrospective analytical case-control study was conducted on patients who had attended for delivery at Al-Galaa Maternity Teaching Hospital during the period of one year from March 2015 to February 2016. A total of included 538 patients aged 16 - 19 years as study group and adult age group: included 609 patients aged 25 - 29 years as the control group. The only primigravid was enrolled. The study records were retrieved for review. Comparisons were made between the two groups regarding maternal demographics, socioeconomic status, medical disorders, major antenatal complications, the outcome of labor, mode of delivery, and perinatal complications. Results:a. style="font-fa.0}ly:Verda.a."> The preva.ence of teena.e pregna.cy, wa. 46.9%. a.m.To study the rela.ion between hepa.itis C virus (HCV) genotype 4 a.d m.croa.bum.nuria.a.d rena. im.a.rm.nt in rela.ion to hepa.ic histology, a.d virem.a.in the a.sence of cryoglobulinem.a. a.d to exa.0}ne the effect of trea.m.nt on ***: Three hundred subjects, including 233 HCV genotype-4 infected pa.ients, were tested for cryoglobulinem.a. m.croa.bum.nuria. a.bum.n crea.inine ra.io (a.R), urea. crea.inine, a.d estim.ted glom.rula. filtra.ion ra.e (eGFR). The pa.a.0}ters were m.a.ured a.a.n in the HCV pa.ients a.ter 48 wk of trea.m.nt with pegyla.ed interferon a.d ***: Significa.tly higher levels of m.croa.bum.n- uria.were detected in HCV-positive pa.ients com.a.ed to HCV-nega.ive controls (m.dia. 9.5 vs 5.9, respectively, Kruska.-Wa.lis P=0.017). Log m.croa.bum.nuria.wa. significa.tly correla.ed with hepa.ic infla.0}a.ion (r=0.13, P=0.036) a.d f ibrosis (r=0.12, P=0.061), but not with vira. loa. (r=-0.03, P=0.610), or a.a.ine tra.sa.0}na.e (r=-0.03, P=0.617). Dia.etes m.llitus neither significa.tly m.dera.ed (χ2=0.13, P=0.720), nor m.dia.ed (Sobel test P=0.49) the HCV effect. HCV sta.us wa. signifi ca.tly a.socia.ed with log m.croa.bu-m.nuria.(χ2=4.97, P=0.026), a.justing for a.e, gender, dia.etes, cryoglobulinem.a. urea.a.d crea.inine. a.positive HCV sta.us wa. not significa.tly a.socia.ed with low eGFR (m./m.n every 1.73 m.) [odds ra.io (OR): 0.5, 95% confidence interva. (CI):0.2-1.4], nor with high a.R (OR: 1.7, 95% CI:0.7-4.1). End-of-trea.m.nt response (ETR) wa. a.hieved in 51.9% of pa.ients. Individua.s with ETR ha. significa.tly lower m.croa.bum.nuria.post-trea.m.nt (χ2=8.19, P=0.004).CONCLUSION: HCV a.fected the developm.nt of m.croa.bum.nuria.independent of dia.etes or cryoglobulinem.a. Com.ina.ion thera.y of pegyla.ed interferon-riba.irin ha. a.positive effect in reducing m.croa.bum.nuria.
