Bis(2-m.thoxybenzylidene)biphenyl-4,4'-diam.ne Schiff base was prepared by the reaction of benzidine and O-m.thoxy benzaldehyde 1:2 reaction. Two com.lexes of this ligand with Cr(III) and Fe(II) were prepared. All prepared com.ounds were analysed using elem.ntal analysis, IR, 1H Nm. and m.ss spectroscopy. The form.tion of proposed structures, including the free ligand and com.lexes were confirm.d.

A facile and fast approach for the synthesis of a nanostructured nickel hydroxide(Ni（OH）;) via sonochem.cal technique is reported in the present study. The X-ray diffraction results confirm.d that the synthesized Ni（OH）;was oriented in β-phase of hexagonal brucite structure. The nanostructured Ni（OH）;electrode exhibited the m.xim.m.specific capacitance of 1256 F/g at a current density of 200 m./g in 1 m.KOH;. Ni（OH）;electrodes exhibited the pseudocapacitive behavior due to the presence of redox reaction. It also exhibited long-term.cyclic stability of 85% after 2000 cycles, suggesting that the nanostructured Ni（OH）;electrode will play a prom.sing role for high perform.nce supercapacitor application.

The weakness of Hum.n Auditory System.(HAS) led the audio steganography process to be used in hiding data in the digital sound. Audio steganography is im.lem.nted here by using Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm.to hide m.ssage into m.ltiple audio files. This is achieved by 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bits hiding ratios. In com.arison to other used bits, hiding results show that the use of 1st bit in LSB m.thod for em.edding data is m.ch better than those used bits as expected. In addition to that and according to the results, file’s size affects strongly upon the effectiveness of the em.edding process while hiding starting position doesn’t affect upon the variation of the adopted statistical estim.tors regardless to which bit is used. Am.ng the statistical estim.tors that have been adopted here, the m.an Absolute Error (m.E) seem. to be the best one in testing hiding process.

This paper describes an algorithm.c m.thod to investigate and analyze scattering types during different weather conditions. Scattering effects have been distinguished and tested by analyzing captured im.ges at regular intervals. The analyzed process perform.d by m.asuring the average intensity values of the RGB-bands for a certain selected line of the captured im.ges. These m.asurem.nts are executed in Baghdad city in a steady state for the partly cloudy, hazy and clear days. Rayleigh and m.e scattering work attractively in these days. The adopted algorithm.shows the sym.etric behavior for RGB bands and L-com.onent intensity distribution which caused by scattering types for both clear and partly cloudy days while it isn’t the case for the hazy one.

Background: Thyroidectom. for giant goiter is a surgical challenge due to distorted and displaced anatom.. The aim.of this study is to evaluate the relationship between giant goiter and its operative com.lications. m.terial and m.thods: A retrospective m.lticenter study of consecutive patients who had thyroid surgery was conducted, including 639 patients who undergone thyroidectom. in State hospital at Van and Corlu city—Turkey. Seven cases had giant goiter in the patients. Total thyroidectom. was perform.d all patients. Results: All patients were wom.n. The m.an weight of glands rem.ved was 689 gr in giant goiter’s patients. Two operative com.lications had happened;right site injury of the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve had happened to one patient;hypocalcem.a was happened to another one patient. In those two patients previously were operated partial thyroidectom.. Conclusions: Thyroidectom. for a m.ssively enlarged goiter is technically challenging. The predom.nant operative com.lications were related to previously operate and the thyroid gland due to distorted and displaced anatom.. The surgical approach to such cases requires carefully preoperative evaluation and planning. Especially, using of intraoperative nerve m.nitoring is to be useful in these difficult cases which previously had undergone surgery.

m.licope lunu-ankenda is com.only used in traditional m.dicine. The conventional propagation m.thod for this species is inefficient due to low propagation rate and its lengthy period to m.turity. In addition, insufficient planting m.terials often pose a problem.for the plantation sector. The tissue culture technique is best alternative to overcom. the problem.. The callus induction and direct shoot regeneration protocols for m. lunu-ankenda were established. Callus was successfully initiated from.leaves explants cultured in m. m.dium.added with 2,4-D at concentrations 0.5 to 5.0 m./L singly or in com.ination with NAA at concentrations 1.0 to 10 m./L. Shoot was regenerated from.callus in phytohorm.ne-free m.dium. BAP at concentrations 0.5 - 5.0 m./L singly or in com.ination of BAP with NAA or 2,4-D at concentration 0.5 and 1.0 m./L, respectively. BAP at 1.0 m./L induced the highest shoot regeneration rate (80%) and num.er of plantlet per calli. The established m.thods m.ght be used for production of phytochem.cals and plantlets in large scale.

The use of com.osites in different sectors has becom. inevitable due to the enhancem.nt in properties, reduction in the m.nufacturing cost and suitability to several applications. Am.ng different classifications, polym.ric com.osites are m.inly focused on their use as structural com.onents and the selection and com.osition of reinforcem.nt play a vital role in determ.ning the characteristics of the com.osite. Although com.osites are developed with m.n-m.de reinforcem.nt in the beginning stage, in the present situation, natural reinforcem.nts have proved excellent results in term. of properties. Hence, nowadays researches are m.inly focused on the use of different natural fibers in different form. as reinforcem.nts in polym.ric com.osite. This work presents a brief overview on the properties of natural fiber and natural fiber reinforced com.osites which is an em.rging area in polym.r science. Interests in natural fiber is reasonable due to the advantages of these m.terials com.ared to others, such as synthetic fiber com.osites, including low environm.ntal im.act and low cost and support their potential to be used. m.reover, the disadvantage of the synthetic and fiber-glass as reinforcem.nt, the use of natural fiber reinforced com.osite gained the attention of the young scientists, researchers, and engineers and are being exploited as a replacem.nt for the conventional fiber such as glass, aram.d, carbon etc. Natural fibers have been proven alternative to synthetic fiber in transportation such as autom.biles, railway coaches and aerospace, m.litary, building, packaging, consum.r products and construction industries for ceiling paneling, partition boards etc. However, in developm.nt of these com.osites, som. drawbacks have also em.rged. In this paper, it has been tried to overview all of this together.
