Carbon dioxide-abated hydrogen can be synthesised via various processes,one of which is sorption enhanced steam methane reforming(SE-SMR),which produces separated streams of high purity H_(2) and CO_(2).Properties of hydrogen and the sorbent material hinder the ability to rapidly upscale SE-SMR,therefore the use of artificial intelligence models is useful in order to assist scale *** of a data driven soft-sensor model over ther-modynamic simulations,is the ability to obtain real time information dependent on actual process *** this study,two soft sensor models have been developed and used to predict and estimate variables that would otherwise be difficult direct *** artificial neural networks and the random forest models were devel-oped as soft sensor prediction *** were shown to provide good predictions for gas concentrations in the reformer and regenerator reactors of the SE-SMR process using temperature,pressure,steam to carbon ratio and sorbent to carbon ratio as input process *** models were very accurate with high R^(2) values,all above 98%.However,the random forest model was more precise in the predictions,with consistently higher R^(2) values and lower mean absolute error(0.002-0.014)compared to the neural network model(0.005-0.024).

Three-dimensional printable concrete requires further development owing to the challenges encountered,including its brittle behavior,high cement requirement for the buildability of layers,and anisotropic behavior in different *** aim of this study is to overcome these ***,three-dimensional printable concrete mixtures were prepared using silica fume,ground blast furnace slag,and metakaolin,instead of cement,to reduce the amount of ***,the rheological and mechanical behaviors of these concretes were ***,threedimensional printable concrete mixtures were prepared using 6-mm-long steel and synthetic fibers to eliminate brittleness and determine the effect of those fibers on the anisotropic behavior of the *** a result of this study,it is understood that printable concretes with extremely low permeability and high buildability can be achieved using mineral *** addition,results showed that three-dimensional concrete samples containing short steel fibers achieve fracture energies up to 36 times greater than that of plain ***,its characteristic length values,as indicators of ductility,are 22 times higher than those of plain *** weakest strength was recorded at the interfaces between *** bending and splitting tensile strengths of three-dimensional printed plain concrete samples were 15%and 19%lower than those of casted samples,***,the addition of fibers improved the mechanical strength of the interfaces significantly.

Turkey has a high potential for wildfires along its Mediterranean coast because of its dense forest cover and mild *** average of 250 wildfires occurs every year with more than 10,000 hectares destroyed due to natural and human-related *** study area is sensitive to fires caused by lightning,stubble burning,discarded cigarette butts,electric arcing from power lines,deliberate fire setting,and traffic ***,52%of causes could not be identified due to intense wildfires occurring at the same time and insufficient equipment and *** wildfires destroy forest cover,ecosystems,biodiversity,and habitats,they should be spatially evaluated by separating them according to their causes,considering environmental,climatic,topographic and forest structure variables that trigger *** this study,wildfires caused by lightning,the burning of agriculture stubble,discarded cigarette butts and power lines were investigated in the provinces of Aydin,Mugla and Antalya,where 22%of Turkey’s wildfires *** MaxEnt method was used to determine the spatial distribution of wildfires to identify risk zones for each *** were used as the species distribution and the probability of their occurrence ***,since the causes of many wildfires are unknown,determining the causes is important for fire prediction and *** highest wildfire occurrence risks were 9.7%for stubble burning,30.2%for lightning,4.5%for power lines and 16.9%by discarded cigarette *** total,1,266 of the 1,714 unknown wildfire causes were identified by the analysis of the cause-based risk zones and these were updated by including cause-as signed unknown wildfire locations for *** a result,the Area under the ROC Curve(AUC)values were increased for susceptibility maps.

Turkish red pine(P inus brutia Ten.), an important pine species for afforestation studies, grows at a wide range of altitudes in the eastern Mediterranean area. Seeds from low(0–400 m a.s.l.), mid(400–800 m) and high(800–1000 m) altitudinal gradients were collected to assess the effects of these gradients on morphological traits(seed length, seed width, 100-seed weight), germination variables(germination percentage and mean germination time), and 10biochemical variables related to seed reserves. Relationships among these variables were examined with a correlation analysis. Seeds from low and high altitudes had significantly higher 100-seed weight, higher percentage germination but longer germination times and higher total oil and reducing sugars contents. Seeds from mid altitudes had higher carotenoid and soluble phenolics contents. Among the examined biochemical variables, only flavonoid content did not differ among the altitude gradients. The main fatty acids in seeds samples(linoleic, oleic, palmitic and stearic acids) were also influenced by the altitude gradients. Oil and total reducing sugars contents were positively correlated with germination percentage, and carotenoid content was negatively correlated with germination percentage. Our results confirmed that seed and germination variables, including the reserve composition varied significantly among the altitudinal gradients.

TiO2 nanotubes on Ti metal surface were prepared by the electrochemical anodization method. Then, nanosilver was deposited onto the nanotubes by the electroless dip coating and the anodization. The obtained TiO2 nanotubes were examined by using scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, cyclic voltammetry, and UV–Vis. The electrochemical band gap（Eg^CV） of the nanosilver-coated TiO2 nanotubes prepared by the anodization was found as 1.54 eV. Using the UV–Vis measurements, the optical band gap energy（Eg^op.） was calculated as 1.51 eV for the Ag/TiO2 nanotubes obtained by electroless dip coating. The electrical conductivity of the TiO2 nanotubes also increased from 3.0 × 10^-4 to 34.7 S/cm after nano Ag deposition by the anodization *** Ag/TiO2 nanotubes with low band gap and high electrical conductivity are desirable for the applications in electronics, Li-ion batteries, and solar cells.

Digital elevation model （DEM） is the most popular product for three-dimensional （3D） digital representation of bare Earth surface and can be produced by many techniques with different characteristics and ground sampling distances （gSD）. Space-borne opti- cal and synthetic aperture radar （SAR） imaging are two of the most preferred and modern techniques for DEM generation. Using them, global DEMs that cover almost entire Earth are produced with low cost and time saving processing. In this study, we aimed to assess the Satellite pour robservation de la Terre-5 （SPOT-5）, High Resolution Stereoscopic （HRS）, the Advanced Space-borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer （ASTER）, and the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission （SRTM） C-band global DEMs, produced with space-borne optical and SAR imaging. For the assessment, a reference DEM derived from 1 ： 1000 scaled digital photogrammetric maps was used. The study is performed in 100 km2 study area in Istanbul including various land classes such as open land, forest, built-up land, scrub and rough terrain obtained from Landsat data. The analyses were realized considering three vertical accuracy types as fundamental, supplemental, and consolidated, defined by national digital elevation program （NDEP） of USA. The results showed that, vertical accuracy of SRTM C-band DEM is better than optical models in all three accuracy types despite having the largest grid spacing. The result of SPOT-5 HRS DEM is very close by SRTM and superior in comparison with ASTER models.

In this study, resistance spot weldability of 180 grade bake hardening steel （BH180）, 7123 grade interstitial free steel （IF7123） and 304 grade austenitic stainless steel （AISI304L） with each other was investigated. In the joining process, electrode pressure and weld current were kept constant and six different weld time were chosen. Microstructure, microhardness, tensile-shear properties and fracture types of resistance spot welded joints were examined. In order to characterize the metallurgical structure of the welded joint, the microstructural profile was developed, and the relationship between mechanical properties and microstructure was determined. The change of weld time, nugget diameter, the HAZ （heat affected zone） width and the electrode immersion depth were also investigated. Welded joints were examined by SEM （scanning electron microscopy） images of fracture surface. As a result of the experiment, it was determined that with increasing weld time, tensile shear load bearing capacity （TLBC） increased with weld time up to 25 cycle and two types of tearing occurred. It was also determined that while the failure occurred from IF side at the BHIS0＋IF7123 joint, it occurred from the BH180 side at the BHIS0＋AISI304L joint.
