Enhanced quantum resources via two distant atom-cavity systems under the influence of atomic dissipation

Quantum resources such as entanglement and coherence are the holy grail for modern quantum technologies. Although the unwanted environmental effects tackle quantum information processing tasks, suprisingly these key quantum resources may be protected and even enhanced by the implementation of some special hybrid open quantum systems. Here, we aim to show how a dissipative atom-cavity-system can be accomplished to generate enhanced quantum *** do so, we consider a couple of dissipative cavities, where each one contains two effective two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode cavity field. In practical applications, a classical laser field may be applied to drive each atomic subsystem. After driving the system, a Bell-state measurement is performed on the output of the system to quantify the entanglement and coherence. The obtained results reveal that the remote entanglement and coherence between the atoms existing inside the two distant cavities are not only enhanced, but can be stabilized, even under the action of dissipation. In contrast, the local entanglement between two atoms inside each dissipative cavity attenuates due to the presence of unwanted environmental ***, the local coherence may show the same behavior as the remote ***, the system provides the steady state entanglement in various interaction regimes,particularly in the strong atom-cavity coupling and with relatively large detuning. More interestingly, our numerical analyses demonstrate that the system may show a memory effect due to the fact that the death and revival of the entanglement take place during the interaction. Our proposed model may find potential applications for the implementation of long distance quantum networks. In particular, it facilitates the distribution of quantum resources between the nodes of large-scale quantum networks for secure communication.

Relevance of Hepatocyte Growth Factor and Fibroblast Growth Factor on Mouse Preimplantation Embryo Development

Objective To explore the effect of hepatocyte growth factor （HGF） and fibroblast growth factor （FGF） on preimplantation embryo development of mouse.Methods Mated mice were killed by cervical dislocation to collect two pronucleous （2 PN） zygotes from oviduct of pregnant 1 d NMRI mice and were cultured to the hatching blastocyst stage and the number of embryo in different stages was recorded under an invert microscope. The cleavage rates of formed 2 PN zygotes were compared with blastocyst and hatching blastocyst stage in drops of T6 medium with or without HGF or FGF （0 ng/ml, 10 ng/ml, 20 ng/ml, 50 ng/ml, 1 000 ng/ml）. Results HGF and FGF enriched embryo culture media promotea the aevetopment from 2 PN stage embryos to blastocyst. Adding 20 ng/ml of FGF or HGF to the culture medium significantly increased the percentage of 2PN embryos that developed into blastocysts （P〈0.05）, but culture of embryos in drops of T6 medium with HGF （20 ng/ml） had no improvement in in-vitro hatching.Conclusion Exogenous HGF and FGF at low concentrations promote in-vitro mouse blastocyst formation.

Efficient and optimized approximate GDI full adders based on dynamic threshold CNTFETs for specific least significant bits

Carbon nanotube field-effect transistors(CNTFETs) are reliable alternatives for conventional transistors, especially for use in approximate computing(AC) based error-resilient digital circuits. In this paper, CNTFET technology and the gate diffusion input(GDI) technique are merged, and three new AC-based full adders(FAs) are presented with 6, 6, and 8 transistors, separately. The nondominated sorting based genetic algorithm II(NSGA-II) is used to attain the optimal performance of the proposed cells by considering the number of tubes and chirality vectors as its variables. The results confirm the circuits' improvement by about 50% in terms of power-delay-product(PDP) at the cost of area occupation. The Monte Carlo method(MCM) and 32-nm CNTFET technology are used to evaluate the lithographic variations and the stability of the proposed circuits during the fabrication process, in which the higher stability of the proposed circuits compared to those in the literature is observed. The dynamic threshold(DT) technique in the transistors of the proposed circuits amends the possible voltage drop at the outputs. Circuitry performance and error metrics of the proposed circuits nominate them for the least significant bit(LSB) parts of more complex arithmetic circuits such as multipliers.

Astragalus adscendens extract shows antidiabetic effects through controlling oxidative stress,inflammation and apoptosis in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats

Population dynamics of ultra-cold atoms interacting with radiation fields in the presence of inter-atomic collisions

We investigate the dynamics of a system that consists of ultra-cold three-level atoms interacting with radiation *** derive the analytical expressions for the population dynamics of the system,particularly,in the presence and absence of nonlinear collisions by considering the rotating wave approximation(RWA).We also reanalyze the dynamics of the system beyond RWA and obtain the state vector of the system to study and compare the time behavior of population *** results show that the system undergoes two pure quantum phenomena,i.e.,the collapse-revival and macroscopic quantum self-trapping due to nonlinear collisional *** occurrence of such phenomena strongly depends on the number of atoms in the system and also the ratio of interaction strengths in the considered ***,we show that the result of the perturbed time evolution operator up to the second-order is in agreement with the numerical solution of the Schrodinger *** results presented in the paper may be useful for the design of devices that produce a coherent beam of bosonic atoms known as an atom laser.

Spontaneous Emission Originating from Atomic BEC Interacting with a Single-Mode Quantized Field

In this paper we present a general theoretical model for the interaction between a number of two-level atoms constituting Bose-Einstein condensate(BEC) and a single-mode quantized field. In addition to the usual interacting terms, we take into account interatom as well as higher-order atom-field interactions. To simplify the Hamiltonian o system, after using the Bogoliubov approximation we proceed to calculate the transformed operators of atoms and field Then, to quantify the spontaneous emission, we get analytical expressions for the expectation value ofJ?z as the atomic population inversion(API), in the cases of number and coherent states for the atomic subsystem. Our results show that the above-mentioned model interaction leads to the appearance of collapse-revival phenomenon in API. In more detail the revival time may be tuned by adjusting the interatom interaction constant. Also, the damping process lowers the amplitude of API, but does not change the CR times for weak damping. Moreover, increasing the damping may decrease the number of CRs in a given interval of time such that no revival occurs. Briefly, it may be concluded that in the resonant case the revival times are insensitive to the change of the higher-order atom-field interaction constant and are affected only by the interatom interactions. Finally, we express that, how we can find a practical procedure to measure the quantum states of atoms in BEC.

Preparation of transparent nanostructured N-doped TiO_2 thin films by combination of sonochemical and CVD methods with visible light photocatalytic activity

Pollution of water resources with pesticide compounds has raised serious environmental problems,and for photocatalytic degradation of these pollutants,thin film photocatalysts are preferred to colloidal ones due to the separation problem of colloidal *** this work,nanostructured TiO_2 and N-doped TiO_2 thin films with high transparency were deposited on glass and quartz substrates through sonochemical–chemical vapor deposition(CVD)*** films prepared on glass and quartz substrates had nanocubic and nanospherical morphology,*** presence of N atoms in the structure of TiO_2 resulted in a decrease in the band gap energy of TiO_2 and also in the reduction of photogenerated electron–hole recombination ***,the presence of N atoms induced the formation of Ti^(3+)species which can act as hole trapping *** prepared thin films were also used for the visible light photocatalytic degradation of paraoxon *** to these results among the prepared thin films,the N-doped TiO_2 thin films have higher photocatalytic activity than pure TiO_2 thin ***,in comparison with the thin films deposited on quartz substrate,the films on glass substrate have higher photocatalytic performance,which can be related to the special nanocubic morphology of these samples.

利用碳酸盐岩岩心开展岩心驱替实验,研究了在智能水驱过程中由于矿物结垢沉淀而引起的储集层伤害风险以及注入水矿化度和离子组成对矿物结垢沉淀的影响。设计了一种新的室内岩心驱替实验程序以模拟注入水和地层水在储集层中的流动条件,考虑了注入水和地层水的原位接触时间对矿物结垢沉淀的影响。在确定了最佳接触时间之后,通过改变注入海水的矿化度和离子浓度来研究渗透率下降程度的变化。利用扫描电镜对结垢后的岩心样品进行目测分析,以研究结垢晶体形态。实验结果表明,在设定的实验条件下,CaSO_(4)和CaCO_(3)复合结垢沉淀导致的渗透率下降幅度为初始渗透率的61.0%~79.1%,注入智能水的矿化度、离子组成以及注入水与地层水的接触时间对CaSO_(4)和CaCO_(3)结垢沉淀有显著影响。扫描电镜图像显示,岩心渗透率的损失主要是由结垢晶体积聚并垂直于孔隙壁面生长造成的。

Challenging loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP) technique for molecular detection of Toxoplasma gondii

Dear editor,Treatment of infection caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) strains due to simultaneously resistance to different class of antibiotics is a major burn unit concern worldwide (1)Multidrug-resistant isolates of P. aeruginosa (MDR-P. aeru-ginosa) are non-susceptible to at least three antibiotics belonged to different classes especially carbapenems, fluor-oquinolones, and aminoglycosides (2)Since determination of clonal relatedness among bacterial infectious agents is an essential pre-requisite to take appropriate infection control practices, the aim of this study was to investigate the gen-etic diversity and document the presence of high-risk clone of MDR-P. aeruginosa in burn wound infections.
