This paper addresses the planning problem of residential micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems (including ‎micro-generation units, auxiliary boilers, and thermal storage tanks) considering the associated technical and economic factors. Since the accurate values of the thermal and electrical loads of this system cannot be exactly predicted for the planning horizon, the thermal and electrical load uncertainties are modeled using a two-stage ‎adaptive robust optimization method based on a ‎polyhedral uncertainty set. A solution method, which is composed of column-and-constraint generation (C&CG) algorithm ‎and block coordinate descent (BCD) method, is proposed to efficiently solve this adaptive robust optimization model. Numerical results ‎from a practical case study show the effective performance of the proposed adaptive robust model for residential micro-CHP planning and its solution method.

Erosion,scour and sedimentation are the most common phenomena which should be considered in the design of marine *** and oceans are dynamic environments,hence studying them in more details,gathering more information about their bathymetric changes and pursuing their historical evolution could be beneficial in the efficient design of marine structures such as:jetties,groins and *** achieve this goal one desperately needs to know about currents and waves and the effects of their interactions as well as the rate of sedimentation(Net Gain),and erosion(Net Loss)in the *** the other hand,to obtain a sufficient depth to facilitate marine traffics in the harbors the rate of sediment deposition must be calculated,offering effective annual dredging *** this research the pool of Nowshahr port and some parts to the east and west were *** transport direction was compatible with the counter-clock-wise circulation of the Sothern part of Caspian *** data,water surface elevation,and hydrographic points from the bathymetric surveys applied in the hydrodynamic module of Mike 21 and the output of the hydrodynamic module(HD)were used as inputs for sediment transport module(ST).The result of the ST module shows that the main direction considering dominant waves is from northwest of the Caspian Sea to the ***,net rate of sediment transfer is from west to *** approaching to the main breakwater arms from the west side sediment transport rate decreases which means deposition occurs behind the western arm.

In the past few decades, the use of glass in buildings has remarkably increased. As a result, several transparent buildings have been constructed, in which the materials have almost disappeared. Given that the advancement of architecture is inextricabty tinked to the acquisition of general knowledge on future developments, this study was conducted to predict the paths of development that glass structures are likely to take in the future. Investigations such as this increase the possibility of advancing both design and construction at the same speed as technology. To achieve this goal, this study evaluates the present situation by investigating new possibilities and assessing their effect on the development of glass buildings. The findings of this study show that the durability, safety, appearance, and efficiency of transparent buildings can be improved through continuous refinement of designs, replacement of aged elements, prompt repair of damaged protective coatings, and greater exploitation of double-sided screens.

An accurate mathematical representation of soil particle-size distribution(PSD) is required to estimate soil hydraulic properties or to compare texture measurements using different classification systems. However, many databases do not contain full PSD data,but instead contain only the clay, silt, and sand mass fractions. The objective of this study was to evaluate the abilities of four PSD models(the Skaggs model, the Fooladmand model, the modified Gray model GM(1,1), and the Fredlund model) to predict detailed PSD using limited soil textural data and to determine the effects of soil texture on the performance of the individual PSD *** mean absolute error(MAE) and root mean square error(RMSE) were used to measure the goodness-of-fit of the models, and the Akaike's information criterion(AIC) was used to compare the quality of model fits. The performance of all PSD models except the GM(1,1) improved with increasing clay content in soils. This result showed that the GM(1,1) was less dependent on soil *** Fredlund model was the best for describing the PSDs of all soil textures except in the sand textural class. However, the GM(1,1) showed better performance as the sand content increased. These results indicated that the Fredlund model showed the best performance and the least values of all evaluation criteria, and can be used using limited soil textural data for detailed PSD.

New liquid-liquid equilibrium data for polyethylene glycol （PEG） 3000 ＋ CHO2K ＋ H20 systems were measured at 298.15 K and pH values of 7.95, 8.40 and 9.98. It was found that an increase in pH caused the binodal curve to be displaced downward and the two-phase region to expand. Accordingly, the binodal curve was adjusted to the Pirdashti equation and the tie-line compositions were correlated using the Othmer-Tobias, Bancroft and Hand equations. The study measured the refractive index and densities of several homogeneous binary and ternary solutions. The solutions were used for calibration within a range of 0% to 30% of the mass of the PEG and potassium formate. The density and refractive index data show a linear variation with the mass fraction of the polymer and the salt. The effect of pH on the binodal, tie-line lengths （TLL） and slope of the tie-line （STL） in the systems was exam- ined. It was found that an increase in pH increased the TLL and decreased the STL It was observed that the density of the aqueous two-phase system was influenced by the TLL The difference in density between phases （△p） increased as the TLL and pH increased. It was found that the TLL and Ap showed a linear relationship. The effective excluded volume （EEV） of the PEG was obtained and it was found that EEV also increased as the pH increased.

Objective:To examine the effect of quercetin on stereological parameters and autophagy-related genes in ovaries of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)***:Fifty female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups:the control group,the ethanol group,the quercetin group(15 mg/kg/day),the PCOS group,as well as the PCOS+quercetin *** the induction of PCOS,quercetin was administered orally for 30 ***,stereological and real-time PCR analyses were carried out to evaluate the effect of quercetin on PCOS ***:Stereological analysis revealed that quercetin significantly increased the number of ovarian follicles and the volume of corpus luteum and induced a significant decrease in atretic follicles in comparison to the PCOS *** addition,quercetin markedly increased mTOR gene expression while decreasing Beclin-1 and LC3 gene ***:Quercetin strongly modulates the expression of ovarian autophagy-related genes and stereological parameters in PCOS ***,it can be considered as an ameliorative component for ovarian follicular impairments.

Assessing the durability of concrete is of prime importance to provide an adequate service life and reduce the repairing cost of ***-thaw is one such test that indicates the ability of concrete to last a long time without a significant loss in its *** this study,the freeze-thaw resistance of polymer concrete containing different polymer contents was explored and compared to various conventional cement ***’fresh and hardened properties were assessed for their workability,air content,and compressive *** mass loss,length change,dynamic modulus of elasticity,and residual compressive strength were determined for all types of concretes subjected to freeze-thaw cycles according to ASTM C666-procedure *** showed that polymer concrete(PC)specimens prepared with higher dosages of polymer contents possessed better freeze-thaw durability compared to other *** high durability performance of PCs is mainly due to their impermeable microstructures,absence of water in their structure,and the high bond strength between aggregates and a polymer *** is also indicated that the performance of high-strength concrete containing air-entraining admixture is comparable with PC having optimum polymer content in terms of residual compressive strength,dynamic modulus of elasticity,mass loss,and length change.

Iran is known as an endemic country for hepatitis E virus(HEV) infection, while there are variations in the epidemiology of HEV infection throughout the country. The available epidemiological studies in different regions of Iran show HEV seroprevalence of 1.1%-14.2% among general population, 4.5%-14.3% among blood donors, 6.1%-22.8% among injecting drug users, 6.3%-28.3% among hemodialysis patients, 1.6%-11.3% among patients infected with other hepatitis viruses, 27.5% among patients with chronic liver disease, 30.8% among kidney transplant recipient patients, and 10%-16.4% among human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients. These variations reflect differences in the status of public health and hygiene, risk factors, and routes of transmission in different regions and groups. Therefore, it is necessary to review the epidemiology of HEV infection to determine the most prevalent risk factors and routes of transmission, and to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive strategies employed in the public health services of the country. Moreover, the other epidemiological aspects of HEV, including the genotypic pattern, extra hepatic manifestations, and incidence of chronic infection need to be investigated among Iranian population to expand the current knowledge on the epidemiology of HEV and to clarify the real burden of HEV infection. Therefore, this review was performed to provide a general overview regarding the epidemiology of HEV in Iran.
